Buying a cheap parts car for metal and other goodies. It's pretty bad but still has some good parts. Also, we visit VWDarrin at Big Daddy's Drag Race Museum. Check out out! Get your 914 parts here: www.restoratio... 914rubber.com
that feeling when you find a rescue...that feeling when you are driving to the rescue....that feeling when you arrive and see that😫... that feeling when driving home in a rented truck & trailer for a rescue 😭.
If/when I get a 914 I'll need to have you consult on what to pay-LOL. My dad managed a drag strip in Alton, IL back in the 1960s. I've got a photo of him with Garlits and Tommy Ivo hanging out at the strip.
Cleaning out the swamp! Hopefully it's got a few of the things you need. I wish I could have made it down for VWD's birthday. Looks like it was a ton of fun.
Wow , so much work to get this car out CT ! You got the important raer part and some others . The rims are cool .👍 The museum was extreme cool ! Happy birthday to Darrin.
Yes, I should have held onto all of them...but that one I sold is just down the street and Mike is doing a really nice job on it. I will go over to his place soon and take some video. It's looking pretty cool! =)
I'm looking for a passenger rear corner just like you said about the drivers side. If you decide to cut it would you so kind to let me know. Keep up the good work 👍
CT- I was screaming at you to just take out the rear brake pads when you were trying to free up the locked rear wheels! It would have been much easier than trying to remove the rear brake calipers or rear axles.
I guess these 2 fellows never learned the difference between working hard and working smart. If one of them had been steering the 914 as it was loaded onto the trailer, they would not have had to dick around with the tractor pulling the car to center it on the trailer.
