IG: @acsmellsgood Mail: acsmellsgood@gmail.com Pasha de cartier parfum is one of the better releases of 2020. Here is a full review of this gorgeous fragrance.
Cartier is Cartier , it's different Pasha and Declaration always in my collection, not in collection they are my daily scent any time any where all season , long lasting high quality
Very interesting background in regards to the watch heritage. Your eyes were almost watering with it’s potency. The Descriptive narrative as always is fascinating. Time for a sample.
Great timing with this review AC. I got to sample this at the weekend after hearing about it. TBH I’m not sure what to think about it. I need to test some more. I get the booze and the amber for sure and just a hint of fougereiness about an hour in. As you said and I agree it does smell entirely synthetic but what surprised me the most was just how linear it is, very linear (need to test again). I wasn’t expecting that! Got got test this with the ladies and put it up against Déclaration D’un Soir which I had sampled on the other hand. They all swooned over D’un Soir. TBH it was the first time I tried D’un Soir, and it just blew me away! Amazing frag, bought a bottle right there and then! Excellent review! All the best!
There are a-lot of layers to this fragrance. Your right, it definitely gets me a-lot of compliments. I blind bought it and am not disappointed in the least.
Great honest review. I like non-linear frags like many Amouages but find this multi-dimensional enough. Also after the opening its not so synthetic. Its elegant leaning toward appealing. Hovers on a line between designer appeal and niche. Unique frag. Boozey does not really describe it as its not so thick in the drydown. Its a great balance of notes between dry, sweet and beautiful.
Thanks for the review AC. This one is on my radar. Will be interesting to see how the new-fangled woody / amber stuff works. Mostly been culling my collection of old blind-bought hype beasts these days, but due for a sample run soon. Wanna try some more designers not Chanel & Prada ha ha. And I know Declaration is just fine.
Thank you Rohit and glad you are enjoying these quotes my friend. Also you really have to try this fragrance, it will absolutely blow your mind, very sexy fragrance :)
Wonderful review AC! I am surprised you haven’t reviewed L’envol de Cartier yet. That is one fantastic fragrance. Another masterpiece from Mathilde Laurent! It combines the powderiness/purse smell of Dior Homme Intense, with a strong violet smell, and a subtle (far from cloying) sweetness of honey. Somehow it reminds me a lot of Habit Rouge, but sweet and violet instead of rosy. You need to check it out! I think you will appreciate it
Those watches are beautiful. I don’t think I’ve smelled a boozy fragrance as yet. Hopefully when I smell one I will recognize. Beautiful and strong. I enjoyed your review as usual. Thanks for sharing.
Hi AC, you are most eloquent and erudite when it comes to excellent fragrances. If Ganymede and Dunhill Icon Elite had a love child, it would be Pasha Parfum, do you get these vibes as well?
Beautiful review. Beautiful fragrance. Oddly enough I found this fragrance to be very natural! In fact, at first wearing I had a hard time differentiating between where this fragrance ended and the fall air began. Perfectly harmonized, creating a sweet colorful aura around me. Brilliant release. Cheers!
Oh wow! its surprising how different scents leave different impressions on us. I always feel a fragrance is unnatural if they use synthetics of a certain kind.
Smells Good I can see that. And as always, truly value your opinion, AC. I just like the way it reacts with the environment. Maybe not the most natural, but certainly a pleasant addition coursing through the air, enough to keep me guessing and intrigued
@@SmellsGoodfragrancereviews hello sir! Hope you are well. Having spent more time with this and wearing it the past couple days I can now agree that it is quite synthetic. Still good nonetheless. Your review here is simply spot on. Cheers!
well I never liked their watches (I am a big fan of Omega and the UK wonderful small brand Christopher Ward, as well as other Swiss brands) but you sure made me want to sample this one...I think any Sandalwood based fragrance is a must try for me...
I had the EDT for quite a long time.It has been my favorite Cartier scent.I then blind purchased the EDP.I now have two favorite Cartiers.Be safe and thank you for the video.
@Thomas Jefferson 2 different scents that I like. The EDT is a lighter more barbershop scent that I have worn year round..The EDP is a fuller bodied more woody scent with what my wife calls a boozier type of vibe to it.The first time I wore it, I walked by her and she immediately asked me what I was wearing. She said it smelled really nice and it hadn' t even gone through to the dry down yet. This will be a fall/ winter staple for me.
Good day, sir! Thanks for the info. I like when a reviewer tells us little stories related to fragrances. Have you tried the "Ambrocenide" itself? You intrigued me once again and I reached for my vial of "Ambrocenide 10%" (by Symrise). To my nose, these strong woody-ambery molecules (Ambrocenide, Ambermax, Norlimbanol, Amber Xtreme, Karanal etc. on the stronger side and Amberwood Forte, Ysamber, Trisamber, Cedramber etc. on the milder side) smell more or less the same: powerfull, dry, extremely longlasting woody note with a touch of darkness (or "depth", technically speaking) and some other nuances depending on the molecule. Ambrocenide has an oily, dark facet reminiscent of asphalt (bitumen) which in combination with its woody-amberiness gives the impression of "oud"-note. The notion of "woody-ambery" relates to "ambergris" rather than fragrant resins of ambery note of benzoin because these woody-ambery molecules relate to chemicals found in natural ambergris. So, my point is that Ambrocenide doesn't provide a fragrance with lots of facets, but it does provide it with exceptionally depth and longevity which is especially good for orientals. ✨ Cheers!
I have this fragrance and you are SPOT on. I think that this fragrance should be approximately $50usd with shipping. This is no knock on scent or quality, but I know fragrances giving the same quality for less.
Okay When you say serious compliment magnet I got one of the unexpected at the grocery store when a woman yelled at me from opposite end of aisle that I smelled good We were both wearing masks She proceeded to turn around and follow me for quite a while
I blind bought a tester no cap bottle for a great price. Now coming from someone who has never like sweet fragrances, not really wowed by this one. Frankly don’t understand the hype surrounding this one. I would consider it an ok fragrance. But of course will give it a few more wearings in the upcoming cooler weather. Maybe might change my mind.
@ Greg, I can totally see where you are coming from on this. I wasn’t wowed either. However I do need to give it another try. I think over on Dallas’ channel Chaos Fragrances he experienced a similar thing but after more testing, loved it.
I’m tossing up between Guerlain Ideal Extreme & Pasha Cartier PARFUM. Both are freaking fantastic. Which one has more value for money sir? Which way to go?
Great review, I will surely get this one once available @discounters. A boozy oriental fougere would be something interesting to add to my collection. BTW, Cartier is French, not Swiss. A luxury jeweller and watch maker. Some of their watches are made in Switzerland nowadays, but that's the only connection.
Wow! thank you, the watches I have seen clearly say Swiss Made so I assumed :) Many thanks for pointing the french Connection :) This is a good fragrance but do test it out Andrei, as the fougere elements are well suppressed.
@@SmellsGoodfragrancereviews Thanks for the insight! Nowadays I try not to go to Sephora and the other stores to sniff things due to the pandemic... I do have Azzaro PH Intense EDP (2015) that's a boozy fougere imo, so I might skip the Pasha Parfum. I saw that fir note that a lot of people get (at least on fragrantica) so I was excited. I kinda search fragrances that have a woodsy coniferous vibe lately with notes like cypress, fir, pine, spruce etc. I'm very tempted to get Caron Yatagan, but I'm afraid it's too animalic for 2020... P.S. Cartier L'Envol EDP is also on my radar and I might get it - it gets praises for both the juice and the bottle (the 100 ml one).
This is strong , mind your sprays , two - three enough , 24 hours longevity guarantee, very cheap and can't believe the smell and performance on this price
As a fan of the EDT, I'm disappointed. It's not a bad fragrance but I can detect a coconut/olive oil/fig vibe in the middle stage. You nailed it when you said if you are a fan of the etd you will probably won't like the edp.
I've noticed that reviewer haven't mentioned that in the background in the beginning there's a bit of that 80's men's fragrances funkiness! Lol. It lingers in the background for awhile in the beginning. Definitely sample first
