I'm getting this code on my VW cc for the parking brake flashing but my parking brakes work fine. Would my parking brakes stil work if the module wasn't coded
What was your previous module? 3C0907801E? The 3C8907801E is for the cc but does it all work OK on B6 with no cruise control errors etc? Sometimes they will technically work for EBP but create problems in other areas. Parking brake module is fried on a 2007 B6 Passat; looking at options for reflashing software version from 00003 to 00005, or fitting EPB module 3C8907801E or 3C0907801G. Former number (8/E version) is cheaper and more readily avaiable, so if it definitely works post-coding, I'll use that. Cheers for input
I’ll choose 3c8 one but keep in mind, plug might be different, had a 2005 module and was different plug compared to 2007 and 2007 model was again different from 2008 on the plug. Just have a look at the plug. Coding is easy and everything works fine. Is worth upgrading to 3c8 if you have b6 facelift white cluster so you can change settings for autohold.
With installing a new module, do you need to do anything first, like unplug the battery first, remove the old, replace the new module then reconnect the battery? I read that something with the old module needs to be copied first with the vcds before the new installation or the abs information will be lost
hi, i have a problem with my parking brakes. Fault code 02845. The brakes open and close perfectly. I have already changed the button and the coding is correct too but i cant delete the fault code. Passat CC 2008. Any ideas? Thanks
@@daniallsz get a newer version but make sure part number starts with 3C8……..E or higher, copy old code over and do system function test, when replacing epb, remove battery terminals
I have a probelm with my B6 passat with auto hold pakring brake, my brake works, but i cannot retract them to service them. When i use my vagcom i get a error message trying to open the caliper
If is on B6 Passat that had standard red cluster and made before 2008 will need white b6 facelift cluster not B7 3AA , 3c8 handbrake module and then you get the menu in cluster.
@@lavianeverything Thank you! I have a problem with the Auto Hold function on VW CC 2010. Pressing the AutoHold button is not working, and the menu AutoHold is not displayed on the Dashboard screen, EPB function works normally. I scanned that system via Scantool: no fault code but Live data shows: ERROR in Auto-Hold button (E540), Auto-Hold lamps: Off Have you ever seen this case? So do I need to work on coding for the EBP module?
Hi there, i have a parking brake problem on my passat cc 2009.. the thing is, my parking brake works perfectly, but when i park my car, activate the epb.. next time when i put my key into ignition i get this yellow P crossed and a message saying "fault with a parking brake, see owners manual" but if i pull the key out a bitt and start the car again, the warning light goes off.. I also dont get a red indicator light on the dash when epb is activated at all.. went to a electrican, he checked it, said it might be the faulty dash itself.. also tried 2 different switches but it didnt worked for me.. I cant find anything on the internet where someone had same problem as me.. i was wondering if you could tell me the solution to my problem? I can live with this problem, but im afraid my car wont pass annualy car control bcs of this.. thanks
Will be fault stored in epb module, use vcds, do system functions test on basic settings menu, if you don’t have anyone with VCDS around, look on Facebook where you live to find someone. I’m UK based. If i can help, I’ll do it but my health is not ok, i can at least advise you what to do
i have excatly same symptoms on excatly same passat cc and as well due to MOT, and afraid i wont pass it! can't find any help, cleared codes, came back!! all works but error keeps coming back!! :(
@@S1L3NT__ do you also dont get a red indicator on the dash when epb is activated? Im scheduled at monday, some car guy known for messing with modules will check it out for me.. i hope he can find a solution..
