You're doing a good work by helping people out around the holidays when many of us are traveling long distances. Last thing anyone wants is a breakdown! Love the videos! Keep it up!
My starter recently went out and thank God for RU-vid and tools in my trunk as I was able to take care of it myself in an hour. I was so proud of myself!😂
Bought my wife a brand new 2018 escape. Same thing happened in 2020 when it had maybe 15k miles on it. Luckily it was under warranty but the dealership took 2 months to fix it. Unreal.
It's so stressful when you have people on the phone relaying every word😂. I've been there MANY times. But she was cool, I'm sure husband was just looking out
I wanna say I always have some sort of extractor Sockets on me, but I would also say I don’t have that nice Apollo scanner in the same breath. Love it 😅
I’m really happy I came across you on Facebook. I’m really enjoying these videos. You’re not trying to be anyone other then you’re self and ur makint great content in the process
Hey bro just found your page this morning and I’m hooked bro. You have amazing and very knowledgeable advice to people in despite need at the moment. It’s my day off from work today and I know what I’m being watching all day today if all your videos lol great content brotha keep up the great work hope you get that RU-vid plaque soon!!
😅 no time to detail things there.... At times I give my daughters short answer(s) like that. When i realise she/they don't understand it become a long recture for her/them. They always call me when her friends' cars or hers do have problem(s). That where remotely diag start...
I use to live in Tulsa, Broken Arrow, Bixby, and OKC... Left when they had the worst tornado breakout ever. 2013Didnt feel comfortable raising my son there. But, it was beautiful and loved the fishing.
Love this content & the work you do. I'm like a "C/B level" Tech in northeastern KS. I feel the pressure in these videos! I would feel terrified trying to live diagnose in front of a stranger. Especially when they have a 3rd party tagging in on the phone(how distracting), & how confusing it is for people + the skepticism of the general public when it comes to their most likely barley maintained vehicle. ETC. It is so awesome that you can be so transparent & actually educate customers. It must be pretty gratifying to actually communicate directly with a customer as well. Watch out for Honda misfires! PCMs & injectors, and intake valve carbon caking are all very common. Lots of TSB info out there for the injectors. Seen all these issues multiple times on regulary maintenanced Hondas with less than 30k mi.
Coming from a guy whose seen this many a time as a tech myself its coolant intrusion from the block into that cylinder aka the middle cylinders it needs a new engine block thats the 1.5 ecoboost they are kudos known for this ive never put an injector in one just engine blocks
@@JUNEBUGLLC bad design on Fords part. The 1.5, and 2.0 ecoboost engines suffer from coolant intrusion from a faulty headgasket. 7,000$ repair that Ford does not cover.
They probably did the spark plugs because they already messed with the ignition coils as those bolts look aftermarket and too new. Its probably a bad cylinder but of course you can move the spark plug and fuel injector and check the wiring.
I've seen that happen when it miss fired on a cylinder because the injector seals were leaking. It'll most often say some along the lines of running lean. Most of the time though, it'll randomly miss fire.
Never had a bad fuel injector at any Ecoboost engine. But I don't say it can't be. But I am in Germany, we have different gasoline with 95 or 98 octane.
Yep, some mechanic was stuck and needing a metric wrench or socket and not having one, and out of desperation they used a US ANSI (American National Standards Institute) used in US measurements.
Hey, I know a guy there. Go to the "Mayo Hotel" and ask for Dwight, he's a cool guy, loves Italian food, just don't ask him about what he did during the 80's and 90's.
Nice to see Scanner Danner's book in your Snap On case. He is the man when it comes to diagnostics. I have his book and subscribe to his premium channel and he has great content there as well as his regular RU-vid channel.
I had a check engine light that kept coming on. Turned out whoever changed the sparkplugs (before I bought the car) left the rubber from the sparkplug wrench on the #5 cylinder sparkplug. The codes that came back were all related to the fuel injector for that cylinder.
Ths is why you don't service a vehicle right before a trip. You either don't service it or service it 30 days in advance, so you have a whole month of test driving it and if something is wrong, you are local and can have it fixed and or take it back to have the place fix their mistake. I wish you would have mentioned that in the video because not everyone is going to read the comments.
I’ve been having issues with my 17 ford fusion cylinder 4 or 2 in the shop for the 3rd time and each times it was 4-5 months because of intrusion bad block why it failed and went in again for the 3rd time was because of the cylinder wasn’t fixed the rest that was damaged was but the first time they didn’t catch the cylinder and well it’s now in a 3rd time
The second you popped the hood and it was a misfire i immediately thought head gasket, coolant is cylinder causing dead miss wonder if that was the end result i would bet on it
So I started this game called "Will he fix it" and every time Matt Diagnoses a vehicle he is unable to fix I take a shot... Anyways I just got back from the hospital. Not a game I would recommend.
Dude it would have been cheaper for her to get a rental car then to wash out the cylinder all the way to Kansas that can ruin the motor really fast she needs the oil changed too
I fix mobile mechanic screw ups like every week. Just had one in last week where he told the vehicle owner he's a wiz with AC. Charged the dude 350 bucks to strip out his AC compressor, put a heli coil in it the damage the brand new discharge line to where it would not hold any gas at all. And when the owner tried getting ahold of him, he got blocked. They're definitely a different breed. They're a breed that can ghost you after taking your money and things don't go right.
theres a bad shortage of mechanics, people could really use them bc repair prices are sky high. it is precisely bc no one wants to work on cars that theres a shortage and prices are high. yes its hard work, frustrating, difficult conditions, and challenging. it is dirty work and not for most people but if you like something challenging then pay is great and you help people tremendously that could really use it.@@firstlast---
Loaded question. 1) what interests you? Follow what your interests are, not "what will make you money" You're obviously on this page not by chance. So I'm assuming you're into cars. You can make good money fixing cars (regardless of what people say). 2) do you even know what you want to do? If the answer is no do NOT go to college. That's the dumbest thing you can do. Get a tech job in some industry, try different jobs, then figure out "alright, I would like to be an HVAC tech" or "I want to become a mechanical engineer". 1) You'll do a LOT better in school and 2) you'll have less debt.
Asks way too many personal questions to customer then asks year if car while standing next to door info tag😂 cursing like a sailor. 😮 bro chill. Fix problem. It's not a date.
His camera works just fine. I’m sure if someone wants to sponsor one he would use it. However, my guess beh guess is like myself, I think MP is a down to earth realist kinda guy so he doesn’t NEED better things, he works with what he has and is happy at that and if something else comes around better then it’s like the most totally awesome thing.
How do i contact Matthew Parker? I'm visiting here from MS and im trying to get back home. Phone number would work best. I don't have a Facebook account
Believe me lol. I work at a lexus dealers and we have cars with 800 miles coming in with bad injectors idk what happened to lexus but these new cars that are coming out are having alot of issue! And I thought lexus Toyota was great cars but now I’m seeing that’s not the case!
