These aren't just videos, these are real classes. Started playing about two months ago and I was facing a very hard time into recieving the ball._. I saw the video and in two weeks things got so better that I was put on a game. I'm a setter, and I do ok with that (of course I have a lot to improve) but recieving was killing me. Haha Thanks Donny!
me too i have the same issue as a setter but then when i saw this video....i improve the way i receive every game....thanks elavate yourself... god bless you..
Hey! I'm in high school and have the intention of joining my high school volleyball team next year. I realized that I struggle with volleying and setting as well. So I was wondering if you guys could give me some tips. Whenever I try to volley, my fingers jam the ball when it's falling down and I can't absorb the ball properly. I've tried making my wrists soft and not tense however I just can't seem to properly volley. I've tried making my hands to the ball's shape but my fingers always jam. Also, when I do make contact with the ball, one hand pushes the ball more than the other. Any tips?
@@janieli well either watch a lot of his videos or start training volleyball. But either way you should watch his videos about the problems you are facing
Man I’m so glad I found you and yoir Chanel , I’ve been putting this on practice and it works ! Like I’ve been struggling with passing which then it makes me nervous every time other team was serving , my strong is defense , cause I wasn’t that consistent in passing the ball right . I’m keep practicing all you teaching on passing videos so I can be a better libero . Again thanks man
I know how to get a good up but I’m having trouble getting it to the setter otherwise I’d be playing varsity. This video helped me out a lot, my coach was a bit shocked 🤣
I am a beginner volleyball player and everytime I receive the ball my arms hurt me a lot, so do I have to get used to the feeling or did I just bring an extra heavy ball?
I'm also new, but from what I understand, I think you're recieving with wrong part of your forearm. You're suppose to use the underside of your arm(the part oppisite of wear a watches face would be) because if you use the side of your arm you'll get some gnarly bruises.
I have a question when doing the platform should your elbows be close together? Can you please do a video of like right and wrong ways to things in volleyball and explain them pleasee🙏🙏
My coach teaches me that the forearm pass comes from well bent knees, low position, and then going under the ball with my hands still pointing downwards, and when I contact the ball, I straighten my legs (but not stand up entirely), and to raise the shoulders with them almost touching my ears, and basically not using any arm movement. What do you think about this technique? It seem much different to what Donny is saying, and actually much more dificult :)
Hi I am from Argentina, your videos are very helpful to me. I am 35 years old and started to play volleyball a few months ago. I have many mistakes. I run with hands clasped, passes above I usually go wrong and do not get to pass the ball from standing float serve. What would be your suggestion to start, I want to train at home with my partner. Greetings and over again thanks. sorry for my English
Could you do a video on how to dive correctly/save a ball with your foot. Because I’ve only save it once with my foot since I couldn’t reach it and I got my team the winning game. but they said that was an illegal hit idk why but we ended up winning so yeah
Im ngl, i’m 2 years into vb, and all of a sudden randomly my passes feel very off, so even 2 years jnto the sport im still coming back to these vids lol
i don't know if you made a video about this but can you or have you made a video about tossing? cuz im going to be the official setter next year and i need tips
I am not a libero, but I'm wathcing this because receive is one of the things that everyone can do (even setters). I'm not bad, but all I can do is without the correct poses. I wanna know how to do this well, so I can use my own techniques with the official techniques. (No, English is not my native language. Forgive my mistakes)
Hi! I have a question. I have been practicing my receive accuracy for a while now and It hasn't improved; I've realized that when I receive, the volleyball generally only hits one arm and I've tried improving my platform etc and It still hasn't worked. Do you have an Idea on what it might be and what I can do to improve? Thank you! Ur videos are great and have helped me a lot!
Hi, I actually have videos about serving: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-LTSdEJvvXCM.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-bQSJ7ux9izM.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-NRV0rMeSOBI.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-tAZOhm_Y1Fs.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-qRE1PCvb0-0.html
Hi Coach, I have a question that's been really bothering me. While passing, how long are you watching the ball? I feel the longer I watch the ball, I pass worse, sometimes delaying my reaction and causing me to not make a good angle with the ball. BUT I feel if I don't watch the ball I could miss movements that the ball can make, especially in a float serve. So what do i do?? I'm so confused. Essentially are you focusing really strongly on the ball while passing?? thank you
question: when playing with a shorter setter/one who doesn't jump how should I place my receive? In the example you hit the net but the people I play with won't set those since they can't reach.
Isnt it better to receive the ball with leg movement rather than arm swing ? I mean in this video you go to the ball and then swing arms against the ball, this creates a high error for ball contact. So shouldnt you rather go to the ball, place your hands in an angle you want to receive and then go against the ball by unbending your knees ? This feels much more natural for me as I can control the speed of ball and change the angle just slightly.
Do Squats then... Its improve your leg muscles and also spring on your leg to jump higher... For me I do 0-100 squats 1 week.. Not recommend cuz this will only strengthen your leg muscle and not the other part of the body... So make sure you trained *ALL* part of your body
I might as well try this, 'cause I'm having problems with passing. Sometimes I'm not alert enough, sometimes the ball goes way too far and fast so I don't have much time to pass it and it becomes too close always and lose control and power on the ball. Maybe because I'm too short hahaha, 4"11ft. Please also send tips on how to give more power to serving because my serves are most of the time in the accurate direction but it doesn't go over the net. Thanks Coach Donny! :)
I was always taught to keep my arms level and use my legs to go up into contact with the ball. Is this not right? It really is too strange for me now to see you moving your arms to the ball instead 😅
Sir, I was using another style for forming platform. Like locking the fongers together for platform forming. When I see you style of platform I tried to use that style. But the problem is, I got confused with my older style and you style of platform.
ever since my injury happened i couldn’t control my arms anymore i just hope i get back on track of my game my coaches are thinking of making me rest for a while😭😭😭
im really confused, can anyone tell me what contact behind the ball means? because i know im supposed to be behind the ball obviouly so what does it mean when he says it.
Is it normal if the legs are getting too painful? Because I lower my legs too much to be able to move but sometimes I became to stiff and had a bad receive. Is it important to practice the footwork also?
Don't use too much of leg power It depends on where you revive the ball because after receiving you probably have to send it to the setter So if you're at the back you may use a little bit of legs and if you're in the middle you mostly dont. As for high be in proper position while receiving, You may refer to the first video of this series for this
Argh in serve receives I find the ball moving towards my face/upper body and I don't have any time to move back so I either jump to get it on my platform or it hits my face.... What do I do? I can't overhead pass the serve because it is not allowed for us yet! (this happens especially when I'm on the front row right side position and I have to cover pot, which is basically to the left of me and it is the hole in our defense in the middle perpendicular to the attack line).
