And he was the ONLY ONE producing on that offense. Look at the stats. Watch the film. His o-line sucked, running game sucked, WRs couldn't catch the ball to save their lives. Go look at Dalton interceptions from last year and I'd be willing to bet over half of them were from missed routes, bobbled by the WR into the defenders hands or tipped. I always said Dalton wasn't the issue and drafting Burrow wouldn't make a difference. People are finally getting it now

@@WhiteRaven___ I don't agree, through ten weeks of this season we have seen burrow make plays with his legs that Dalton would have just taken the sack. I agree that Dalton wasn't fully to blame but there's no doubt he was limited athletically. Dalton really only produced when everything around him was perfect. Hence the playoff teams when for the most part everyone was healthy. The second AJ went down he couldn't do anything...

But I also understand business and long term success. Burrow sacrificed and worked his ass off to get to the highest level only to be treated like crap. If I were him I would be looking 10 years down the road when my team can win the division not taking bad hits next year when Cinci will likely be 6-10 at the bottom of the division. That’s what I was saying he’s gonna be lucky if he is able to come to his previous form ever again. We’re talking about a career type ending injury, and even if he comes back, he’s prone to get injured immediately. I wouldnt be surprised if he has an Andrew Luck career, where he calls it quits sooner than he truly should because the injuries plagued him the whole time

@@everythingisoverrated3942 Alex Smith is an outlier. He was lucky to even walk again, let alone be alive. It took 17 surgeries and 2 full seasons to get on the field again, and he's not what he use to be in terms of athleticism. Not a good example. Not to mention, Smith's injury was way worse... both brutal, though.

@@dustynutt7742 It has nothing to do what year it is. Rueben Foster had a similar injury 2 seasons ago before it started... he still hasn't been able to get on the field. It has to do with the other damage... if he suffers nerve damage, he my never walk straight again.

People love to assume the worst with injuries but Alex had probably the worst luck possible with his injuries and still managed to not only walk and run but play in the nfl again. Burrow had a bad injury but it is likely that he will be fine in about a year or so. Modern medicine and rehabilitation techniques have allowed players to recover from injuries they never would've 20 years ago 10 years ago even 5 years ago it's easy to get caught up in the thrills of disaster but his situation really isn't that bad.

If players just choose where they wanna play, then all the stars would always pick the same few big name teams and the rest of the league would be fucked for talent. If you dont want the risk of being on a bad team, then don't enter the draft and try to sign as a FA afterwards.

He hurt his ankle in training camp, and retired bc the injury lingered into his upper leg and doctors feared he needed serious surgery to finally fix his ankle issue
