Ranju Bajracharya - She is a sought after runway makeup artist. I had not heard of her either until running thru videos while stuck at home with the flu. Now I’m hooked. Love,love,love all her products. The eyeshadows are a dream to apply. The lipsticks do not change color on you and are so rich. And the foundation system, - lets just say I’m .in love and I wear foundation about 10x a year.

I get the exact opposite effect! Pat McGrath foundation actually is the only foundation that doesn’t make my nose pores look huge and gross. I love this, it looks stunning especially when my skin is well hydrated.

Love your channel. I'm 72 years old and have been wearing make up since I was 13. In my 20's I lived in Montreal, Canada and was Twiggy's twin. Remember her? The whole Mary Quant thing going on. Now that my skin has "matured". I find some of techniques and/or products don't work the way I want them to look. Do you have any make up tips for my age group?

His videos are generally in regards to mature or problematic skin, check out his channel, its full of them. But in general, thin lightweight foundations, very little or no powder, and using concealer very strategically. The more foundation /powder/highlighter the older the skin looks.

rita subissati G’day from Australia. I don’t think you’re a twin but a triplet, however I’m 66 and going through similar things now! Was always called ‘Twigs’ and had huge eyes and amazing long lashes - where have all these things disappeared too? Probably the same place as my bum! 😂 sorry, I digress- I wore the cat eye liner which I could do in an instant and wore Mary Quant & never needed foundation. Those were the days my friend, we thought they’d never end. I find less is best now and certainly don’t put anything on areas with “problems” that don’t need to be emphasised. Good luck my sister, I’m sure you’re still gorgeous!

rita subissati - hello to both of you ripe plums. 🥰. I’m 71 and have found that with lots of water and oils, my skin has stayed nice and plump. I switched to a cream blush about five years ago....as it looks better than a powder blush and have discontinued dusting powder - in any form - on my skin now. There’s just not a good way to get that glow with a powder and it seems to emphasize the lines anyway. Now that my hair is all gray, I need more color on the lips and darker eyebrows so I don’t “disappear “. Just a few suggestions. Nice to meet you, ladies.

Same here. Pat McGrath Labs has three foundation shades and concealer shades that have neutral/olive undertones and I bought two of those shades - Medium 18 and Medium 21.

Wayne, the new By Terry Hyaluronic Powders in different shades are the bomb. £10 cheaper and double the product. Can't tolerate Pat McGrath and Natasha Denona's insane pricing. By Terry is a major stretch for me, but they were the first hydra-powder and the new tinted ones address the flashback problem with the original.

I have both the foundation and setting powder and I love them both! I do agree with the amount of product you get in the setting powder is tiny, but I find I don't use much at all. You're the best as always!

I adore Pat McGrath - she creates the most incredible looks - but I can’t justify her prices! Her lipstick packaging is gorgeous though. The Armani Luminous Silk is already considered a splurge for me, but I love it because it works so well. For powder, I’ll stick to Laura Mercier Transclucent Powder

Daniela Reinelt She totally did not work for me and made me look like I had blackheads all over my nose because I have large pores and Creased terribly in any type of wrinkle Areas but I am sure you are probably at least 10 years younger than me if not more. I also have oily skin so… A waste of money on my end. I’m sorry for that price it should work for everyone.

I have Pat McGrath sublime perfection system, most of her palettes and lip products. I love everything she makes for the most part. The quality of her products are worth the price point IMO. It’s addicting, I swear!!

Glad to see this honest review, makes me feel not alone! I purchased this foundation but sadly it really didn't work for my skin type. I was looking for a lighter coverage, as I'm over trying to 100% hide my flaws. But I really feel like if you have any kind of texture, acne scarring, rosacea, etc, it actually makes those things look worse! It also wore off super quickly on me... within a couple hours the foundation around my t-zone had completely worn off. My surface tone can be quite red due to rosacea, so I basically had a red nose all day when I wore this! Lol not a good look.

Omg. Pat is honestly a legend. You know that iconic, bold, out there makeup style they use on the runway at high fashion shows? Pat McGrath invented that. Her work has set so many trends and inspired millions of artists. She created most of Armani's makeup line and countless others. She's influenced the beauty world more than any other single individual. And her makeup is absolutely stunning. It's expensive but there really is nothing like it. Her eyeshadows and highlighters are in a league of their own

People had terrible reviews for the primer so I bought it and never opened it. But I found the foundation was sinking into my pores which foundations never did before. I tried different primers and they didn’t help. Then I opened Pat’s primer and it worked! Weird! But I am shade 18 in the foundation and the powder I was matched to online (#3 I think) was too dark. The powder does look beautiful and it has other shades unlike hourglass.

Oily skin here and this foundation goes on well with PMG primer. I like it, is it worth $68 probably not, but I’d think it wouldn’t be bad if retailed at $40-$50 ish

I'm happy with my tatcha silk canvas , Clairns evermatt foundation and Laura mercier powder. Sometime I use the ysl primer too. It is a dream. Never had a bad makeup day since then !

One more thing... For all the ladies out there with mature skin, which tends to get oilier during the day, I've discovered that mixing Benefit's Pore Professional primer with my foundation keeps my make-up looking fresh for at least six hours! I'll be buying Benefit's primer over and over.

I was just saying how expensive the new Nudestix foundation is per ounce after someone asked me to review it. It’s over $50 per ounce!! That’s more than YSL, Charlotte Tilbury, Becca, Shiseido, Natasha Denona, Dior, Givenchy, NARS, Laura Mercier, Bobbi Brown, Estee Lauder, etc. I love Nudestix but I’m shocked at the price they’re charging for the amount they’re giving. I think the Pat McGrath foundation is so polarizing bc of how it works well for some and not for others. I did a SUPER up close application with the Pat McGrath foundation and powder and joked that you could see all up in my pores bc I was so close! Lol! But I was surprised it worked well for me. It’s not for everyone though for sure! That Kevyn Aucoin Balm though. Horrid!!! 😆

I love, love your videos. Learned so much. I have a new appreciation for eye makeup in particular. But honestly, nearly all products are expensive in your videos. I love it. I stan Pat's foundation and concealer line! Best range of shades AND undertones in foundations and concealers in the market - Pat even remembered to represent olive undertones for light skin dark skin which is almost unheard of

I enjoy the foundation. I use one pump of Pat for most of my face and one pump of NARS long wear for coverage and LOVE IT! I almost got the powder but Sephora doesn’t have my color! I wish I did now during Pats 20% off sale

Wayne I know it's not really your thing but can you do a kind of tutorial with the Pat McG eye palettes? I have them all too and love them but tend to default to the same few looks with them even though I know they're super versatile with so many different textures.

You know what I'm obsessed with Wayne? The new Charlotte tilbury airbrush flawless foundation. I always wore double wear but I wasnt fully in love. I was always on the hunt. I've tried every holy grail foundation people talk about. I tried this cuz they sent a sample.... oh wow. It's beautiful and flawless. Definitely air brushed! Its matte and full coverage, but I dont find it dries me out. And I never get oily. It's insane. AND it lasts through a 12 hour shift from 3am still I get home at 9pm. You've probably talked about it already but if you havent. Talk about it. More people need to try this. Love you Wayne, I thought of you when I tried this xoxo

Totally agree with your review. I bought the foundation and love it although it is a bit dewy. Was bit worried about shade range but found a really great match. Skipped the powder though, despite absolutely loving it for exactly this reason - £51 for 5g is out of order. Sticking with Hourglass veil and RCMA no colour powder for now!

I tried a lot but I always turn back to my (for me) beloved Collistar loose powder. Almost no color but it fixes great. No I am not receiving anything for mentioning Collistar.

Hey Wayne! Regarding the alcohol concentration, different types of alcohol are typically used in cosmetics/ skincare to serve different purposes. Some have to do with preserving the product, others serve more of an emoliente purpose (they are in the formula to make the product more emoliente and easy to spread). I don’t remember the name of it though, but I believe that’s the case with the PMG foundation. Love your videos 😘❤️

Thank you so much for reviewing this product love! This is one I might actually go into a shop and try before purchasing. I was thinking so, but now I will. Usually I don’t because I know what I love, and if I don’t love it, well, Beautylish is amazing. With complexion, I will absolutely splurge if the quality is there. From primer to foundation and powder and of course your Brush Sets(like you suggest I really use the tiniest bit if any powder) Tom Ford is a great example, I agree!! The foundations to the primer and the Illuminate/Contour Duo, the Bronzer...You get a great amount of product. I just purchased Surratt Dew Drop Foundation. Not full coverage, but it makes your skin look dreamy. You don’t need many drops so you get a large amount. I think the Pat McGrath would likely do the same to any texture I have(even though I have very little) But for that $$, I’m going to opt for the new Sisley foundation. Westman Atelier Vital Stick Foundation is the same, you get a lot of product. (I wonder if you would like that line, I’m thinking you would) Same with shadows, my kit is mostly all Natasha Denona, Pat Mc Grath too(gorgeous) Ctilbury, and now Surratt. They have palettes and singles you can put in kits. And YES I think people are terrified of certain ingredients when there is no need to be. Xoxo SO EXCITED to see this year’s Holiday Brush, and for the continued development of your product line!!!

I SO wanted to hate the powder. I was looking forward to returning it because it's so f'ing expensive. But I LOVE it. It's the most incredible powder I've ever used, especially for darker skin. (I use Medium 3). Silky, air-light, NEVER ashy, zero flashback...I was sure I'd be returning it. F*CK.

Wanye, can you do a video about what girls with extremely light blonde eyebrows and eyelashes should do? I have so many problems with eyelashes especially, since they're white blonde. I've always wanted to get microblading for my eyebrows too, but I'm not sure there's a pigment that will blend in with the white hairs. Maybe I would need to tint my existing eyebrow hair? Dunno. It's frustrating.

So I was put off by the high alcohol content too, but then I did some research on my other skin life foundations like Armani luminous silk and nars sheer glow, they also have really high alcohol content in them!

I can't bring myself to drop so much on the setting powder and foundation without being able to test it first. The undertones don't seem right to me and I'm currently enjoying Fenty foundation and Hourglass powders. I'm happy to see you talk about Pat Mcgrath :) ever since I bought your brushes I thought they were made for Mothership palettes cause they work best :)

Hi Wayne. I was wondering what your opinion the Hourglass Veil Setting Powder works best for and how you recommend using it. You said you thought it was a little too much to use for setting the entire face. I wasn’t sure if you meant that you thought it was too heavy or if there was too much sheen. I really like it but I find it very shimmery and prefer it more as a subtle highlighter than an all over powder. Its very beautiful though. A little round the outside of the face with a normal matte powder in the centre loos stunning in all lights :) xxxx

As always, great review! Love Hourglass Veil but decided to try Laura Mercier this time. I think I like the Hourglass more but I've only been using the LM for a couple of days. It's pretty good.

Great review as usual. I had the same experience on the foundation and I loved the powder BUT the inefficiency of the powder container was a deal breaker for me. Holy mess!

You have a good point here 🤔 Everytime I see the pricetag of some highend products in Sephora I think "this better have liquid gold and unicorn tears in it 😒" it`s so expensive but I would love to see some videos about makeup products that work well with oily skin from your rich experience with customers 😊 my very oily skin needs it 😁

It's like sample size foundation! Pat's stuff is great but so many of us just cant afford to use it regularly. And as for the powder , sounds bothersome colourwise, I will stick with my Laura Mercier translucent God send !

LM really is the best isn't it. RCMA is (IMO) pretty much exactly the same, but way cheaper for more :)
