Will the couch Coop be on the normal multiplayer servers? Would be pretty epic to go to any friend's house jump on the couch and grind some COOP online.
Hey man, could you ask if they plan on adding a K&M feature to console. I see it a lot in Discords and forums for POE and other games, and would love to hear what they’re thinking about this topic.
@@lordhandsomeswag1854 There is a chance they could. They are trying to appeal to casuals as well as the core community they have already built. Very, very easy to alienate either side with a few changes. If they some how master the onboarding of new players while still keeping the depth then sure, they'll dominate the genre for the next 10 years but that is a monumental ask.
@@MrWiggz69 appealing to casuals and appealing to new players are not at all the same thing. we already know the game is incredibly difficult from just what theyve shown, and they haven't even shown us full skill tree, end game, any crafting
@@alcovitch There are a few main reasons why it is really nice for me. My best equipment is used on my PC setup. Yea, I've moved my Ps5 to that location, but other times it's nice to have your console in a different location. PC also usually performs and looks better. Another big one is that Sony charges to play multiplayer with other people not on the console. Lastly, if Diablo 4 had properly implemented this feature I wouldn't even own a Ps5 so it wouldn't even be an option.
It's the sole reason i haven't bought d4, we're going in 2024 and it should be a no brainer of designing a couch play for pc users too, cause i ain't buying a console for that anymore i've done it with d3, and it was such a waste of time and money that i won't be doing it again.
You know the people at GGG are gamers at heart, so if they're gonna make a console version they'll make sure they don't compromise their PC version unlike other more shallow-thinking studios.
I remember all the amazing 3-4 player couch coop rpgs on the PS2. I always lament that we don’t get them often anymore. POE2 will probably not have more than 2 players ever, but it’s still great to see.
Bro I’m soo happy for you. I know when gaming becomes more of a career it’s hard to stay motivated with gaming and sometimes the “fun” is more like a job then fun but just keep pushing past the grind and always remember fun before the job 👍🏽
Omg I can't wait for this to come out on PS5 . Your channel is going to explode when this drops . You better have a holiday before this arrives because everyone is going to want your advice and ideas on this awesome game. Plus, you know how we love your content. Cannot wait for you to show us how to play this. Coop looks insane on one screen, too, not split.
This year i am saving money, getting in shape , dropping all the annyoing humans in my life and switching to part time job just to lose myself into this game like a degenerate when it comes out 😅
This is so great news, up until the State of Play there wasn’t any information about console release and cross play. This is way better than expected. Also in case you missed it, even couch coop on pc is supported.
It will all hinge on how easy the onboarding is imo. That skill tree still looks like a horror scene so personally still on the fence. Everything else i've seen looks really, really good though.
@@MrWiggz69 skill tree is horror ? Bruh if i would see a skill tree like that i would instanly download and play the game. We're not the same, you are scared of complexity and something that requires some brain, im not. Seems like D4 is more suitable for you, a far more simpler game system with no depth at all.
@@DevilWolf000 He's right though. i haven't seen too much of the skill tree changes in POE2 but do you not understand that the entire reason POE1 isn't the most popular ARPG is the skill tree right? most people do not enjoy having to do massive amounts of homework, make spreadsheets, and use third party programs just to make a build that works well enough to complete the content lol.
This is pretty sweet. I was super bummed to find out after buying a series S for my son that very few games are playable with 2 people on the couch. Stoked to be able to play this with him in the future.
Graphics, the visual spells, the fluidity of combat is all there. I would like to see them update their item UI, it still looks like D2 text style, at the very least add a visual icon next to it for some identity (e.g. a ring graphic for a ring above or to the side of the stats)
This is a dream come true. I was worried about PoE2 because my PC is trash and I was worried the console release/eco system would be totally seperate, but now I can play without any stupid restrictions. Amazing!
Couch co-op doesn't matter anymore....it's smart of them to include it because it is a selling point that most will never use but it'll at least boost their success.
Bro... I loved Diablo 4 couch play. And the game was pretty incomplete in initial seasons, but loved it. Can't to test it on PoE2 too. It will be my first PoE experience.
But I'm the roller will we be able to bind *move action? Cause we can't in Poe1 and most builds need it. I don't think it'll be a thing right off the rip, but give a yr maybe 2
News about cross play makes me worried, we all know that a lot of game devs need to downscale games to make it work on console. I am not talking about graphics but things like amount of entities on screen, mob density etc. Hopefully GGG will figure something out.
The question is, will this delay the expected Beta that supposedly comes out at the end of the Year? It's great that they are focusing on a Console release. It would be interesting to try using a controller vs WSAD etc. Looking forward to seeing what you think. The game might look better on my PS5 than my PC. My Laptop is fairly old so... I've seen POE on PS5. Curious if it's similar to what we might see in POE2.
Ngl that couch coop looks absolutely fantastic playing halo or dont stave together with my friend on console is some of the best memories in my life and im glad PoE tries rly hard to bring this legendary experience back so other people can enjoy couch coop at its peak with friends
yeah, if your thumb is on the right stick, it's tough to hit buttons at the same time.. twin stick shooters typically have an auto-fire mechanic.. guess you could map your main skill to a shoulder button..
The couch co op will be max 2 players? I hope it will be more than 2 (though I understand the complexity of it) because I had a blast in diablo 3 with my wife and another friend back in the day 😅
damn this is sick, I had buddies who liked playing d3 on console together but everytime I would go over I would lament having to try and struggle through everyone pausing to sort their gear and stats xD Coming from pc it was basically unplayable for me but this actually has me tempted to buy a ps5 just to try and get my fiance to play poe2 couch co-op with me lol
POE2 looks like a blast. Now that Diablo iv is actually good and Last Epoch is tons of fun, it’s a good time to be a fan of ARPGs no matter whats your flavor.
Honestly, I have been eyeing the Steam deck for a long time. The idea is attractive, I just can't see myself enjoying most things I play on one, especially PoE. Now, If PoE2 is really good QoL on consoles and by extension, the deck, I'd seriously consider buying one. Casual PoE mapping or whatever on break at work or while laying on the bed at home, etc. is a dream of mine, lol.
Worried about it being twin stick. If you’re always needing to control your direction, how will you cast a spell and control your direction at the same time? Youd have to leave your thumb stick to cast a spell with the buttons
There's not enough buttons on a controller to play this game it seems. 5 potion buttons + 10 skill slots, then movement, direction. I'll try it but I'm skeptical.
It'll prolly have a system like D2R. The 4 face buttons, then hold a trigger and the same 4 buttons, then hold the other trigger and those buttons, then maybe even holding both triggers and using the buttons
The real question for most of us here though is when is GTA 6 coming to PC? PoE 2 will surely be out before that. I don't want to play GTA 6 on my consoles vs. my PC, it's depressing to think about.
I wonder what kind of deal with the Devil GGG did to be able to do constant updates of console just like PC. Every single patch requires a 40k fee on Sony and MS devices rights?
I hope the controller setup is better. It was difficult before to use any build with potions because you have to take your thumbs off the movement sticks. You basically needed a scuf controller to be able to handle all the I puts and still be able to move. Controller locked you into certain builds because you can't effectively use all the potion slots.
Well did you watch the video? You need the arrow buttons and the console specific buttons PLUS you're already using both thumbs to move and aim. Going to be awkward to hit those other buttons. DOesn't look like a good time to me.
@@alcovitch The video also says it auto aims for you and the stick is just for precise aiming. You probably dont need right stick if you're playing melee or bow chars much. It'll be needed more for bosses definitely but I doubt its important for going through zones.
Couch co-op needs to make a comeback, I had 2 buddies that used to love playing Champions of Norrath together we made full days out of playing and it was always a blast.
