Nah I wish, Im going to build a good enough PC to stream pretty soon. Just settling for making a ton of videos for now though. It's definitely something I want to start doing.
2019, betrayal league is in full swing. Just here to reminisce about a very different era of the game. The differences are something to think about for sure.
Dear Krip I think your awesome, i've been watching since the start of your diablo 3 videos and your methodically, logical, mathematical approach showed me a new way to play my games and frankly you just seem like a really cool guy Best luck in the future we all love you
Now is also the perfect time to dive in head first since loads of people are quite friendly in chat seeing as how the game is still new to most. I was learning a lot in my first couple hours just watching chat go by, asking and answering a couple questions as well.
I recently play some Project Diablo 2 and one thing PoE is missing is a reason to play Pug games. Leveling with a party of randoms is really enjoyable. I miss the days of open beta when we ran Ledge/Fellshrine ruins/Piety/Dominous in groups. Now it's solo solo solo and the only community you see is in town or youtube/streams. Just something that has been lost that I truly do miss. Back then I NEEDED to group to get through merciless just like I need to group in Project Diablo 2 to get through hell. Having a very oppressive difficulty and also having public games people can join makes for unlikely comradery which I think is a thing of beauty that has been lost to time. It's not found in many games today with the linear difficulty.
I just suscribed to your channel, thanks for your great content! Im playing wand marauder my self. As marauder u have earlier acces to more hp nodes but u dont have the elemental damage u get with templar. Thats why I take Iron grip and i will use frenzy + multiple shots as main tool to do aoe damage. Power siphon to SingleT The question is, do u think it will be viable later (i never got +61 lvl in closed beta), or the templar is better for athis kind of build becouse of the elemental damage?
Yes. Catalyze and other Weapon elemental damage effects your auras like Wrath and Anger (I don't know about Hatred) and all the elemental weapon damage on your gear.
This build is great. Only thing is he could benefit from both frenzy charges AND power charges by using frenzy as well as power siphon. Frenzy works with everything, including wands.
weapon elemental damage works with wands as well, those nodes are the most important nodes for the damage he deals as he is purely elemental based damage.
To people who want to play this build, but can't afford a 5link chest yet, I have a tip: Skip the chain support gem (everything else still fits in the 4link), and use the curse "projectile weakness". Projectile Weakness a) makes your projectiles stronger, b) let's them pierce enemies for an AoE effect and c) lowers enemies chance to evade (so you won't have too much trouble with lack of accuracy). Here's a gameplay video i made a few months ago: /watch?v=EAXxwAKV1WU
It doesn't really matter which class you start as so long as you don't make stupid choices in the passive skill tree or with bad weapon/skills. Certain builds work better with certain classes just because of location of starting area. Check out the forums for various builds.
this might be a dumb question but will they be wiping characters when the game goes live? I know in a normal game they do but since this is a f2p game I was wondering if it will reset.
Greater multiple shoots 5 instead of 3, therefore yes, it is stronger to begin with, however it consumes more mana than lesser and if you notice after he uses the aura's and shield spell he has low mana to use on casting so it is mana conservation. Hope my comment helps :D
Hey Kripp, since you are going with such an aura heavy build, why didn't you invest in any reduced mana reservation nodes to reduce the percentage of mana reserved by auras?
Im searching for beginner tutorials in PoE. Any suggestions? Yey, Ive seen all of Kripps Videos on this game, but it still looks soo complex for a beginner. I come from D1-2-3 so I should be alright, but unterstanding all those mechanics looks like CRAZY to me. It might take me a month just to know what Im doing right? This pushes me a bit off the game :( Is it really that hard as it looks?
I think because his manaregeneration is high enough to refill his manapool between 2 casts of PS so any point spent in those passives you mentioned would be a "lost" one ;)
So let's say if i do a build base on lightning strike linked with elemental damage, LMP and pierce i dont need to lvl up my LS because of the elemental damage ? sorry for this questions but i never played this type of games before xD
his aura's add a lot foe elemental damage, and he has a lot of +elemetal damage passive nodes, as well as a linked "weapon elemental damage" support gem.
try to find a wrath and anger gem as early as u can. then use additional accuracy with a lvl 5 power siphon, and go to town. u can get lmp, chain, and add w/e later on. also grab crit chance nodes early from the shadow area. power siphon is viable from teh start
How much DPS do u make? And, as Power siphon is a gem that uses the Physical damage, and wands dont have high physical damage, how can u get your powersiphon to hit and do a lot of damage?
Things like Anger and Hatred affect your PHYSICAL damage. Not spells. However, Ethereal Knives is physical damage so it benefits from auras like that. The reason why the Kripps uses those auras is because Power Siphon is a physical wand skill and scales off its physical damage.
Can someone tell me why Kripp got the passives Slaughter and Precision at the start? He's not using two-handers, but I can understand the 10% accuracy.
im asking myself 1 thing because im confused about the mana pool. is there only 1 even more skill gems hes wont keep on leveling (because leveling is making them use more mana). im lv 50 with like 750 mana now and i cant handle all those auras AND having enough to cast well (77 mana atm to use while full buffed) mean i cant even do my totem.
What do the charges do? I've noticed there's power, endurance, and frenzy charges, but I'm not sure what they do or how to use them. Could anyone clarify?
Question. I haven't really payed this game any mind so i ignored the videos of krip talking about it. Just saw the skill page and it looks super complicated. Can you respec?
I dont understand the difference between weapon elemental damage and elemental damage and spell damage If i have fireball in my wand and put weapon elemental damage linked to it my damage doesnt go up
Hi Kripparrian i want to ask u something, where can i find power siphon iam 30 lvl with wand templar and i still didnt find it. PLZ answer me i want to play him so much :D
Maybe if you Kripp uploaded a link in your channell info, people would not be asking that much. Also I believe that people are interested in build of your party members, would be great if you put up links of their builds aswell.
Can somebod tell if dual totem builds are still viable? Maybe I should use something to complement it like mines or minions? If so, would someone link me a good dual totem build?
Iam level 60, and I can hold the 6 auras he casts in the video, you need some more levels until you are able to do this because of the passive skill points.
It kinda sucks that you can't fully respec. I'm not gonna make multiple characters and I'm constantly worried that I'm doing it wrong. Currently trying to make an ice witch, if anyone could help it would be great.
I think if you made a build like this for softcore a lot of people would love you for it, It would also dimminish the "what is kripparian's build posts" on the path of exile forums.
I wish they would put second weapon slot buffing back in. That was a big part of diablo 2 when it came to bo, bc, and shout. Shop in act 3 for 3 to warcry spears or use dual hotos in the second slots, switch to BC, BO, Shout, and switch back to actual weapons and have at it. Shame you can't do this anymore.
I'm afraid to sound like a fool, considering how Kripparrian knows orders of magnitude more than I do, but I see a terrible flaw in his plan for the future. He intends to increase his Critical Multiplier, right, but how is he going to get the Critical Hit Chance (CC) to make use of it? The CC nodes increase the base CC of the weapon. So, +150% CC (from nodes) on a 7.5% base CC weapon would give 18.75% final CC. I'm very curious.
Why did you choose not to get the "doom cast" 60% increased crit chance for spells next to eldrich battery? (Answers also welcome from anybody who isn't Krip if you think you know why)
does this build work if u are like under lvl 60-70? because im currently level 49 and the build does not work for me..its like bullshit:| the dmg is too low, everybody know why is that? maybe i dont have top gear but still,,im stuck with the freezing pulse for a long time now
