And the most ridiculous part of it, is that all comedy is based around laughing at someone elses expense. Regardless of a persons sense of humor, you're either laughing at someone or at yourself, but someone has to be the butt of the joke, and all too often these people crying "that wasn't funny, you need to stop" just don't seem to get that.
@@BattleBladeWarriorI might also add, actually you are not laughing at someone else's expense. Comedians find creative ways of making you perceive things differently. There is a psychological thing called inappropriate effect. Funny people are not bullies or abusers, they cause inappropriate effect on you in a socially acceptable way, well sublimated and you are aware of it. What this feminist lady didn't get is the part I talked above. Since patrice is a master of his craft, the whole video is about get her understand this.
@@BattleBladeWarrior Comedians are rooted in the jester. The jester was the only person allowed to speak freely. They were social servents, often bringing up uncomfortable issues but because it was initially presented as funny, it opened conversations that needed to be had the King otherwise wouldn't hear. Comedy also does come from pain, can you imagine trying to get through life without the ability to laugh?
@@skepchica Yea, exactly! If you can't laugh things off, or at least find the humor in things (especially the difficult, uncomfortable things) then you confine yourself to a life of stress and anguish.
“Why are you laughing? She is outraged” Notice how even the girl can’t help but laugh at herself when patrice says that, Damn we need this guy now more then ever.
“You think a joke about raping the first black female Secretary of State is funny?” Before that guy even finished the sentence I was laughing uproariously.
I don't agree because Patrice o'neal left us a lot of knowledge and wisdom. If we can't handle this, it shows that we are weak and we didn't learn shit.
wouldnt be a wasted wish, but id wish for immortality lol then we can wish patrice back in a year, plus the year in otherworld would allow for him to get some pretty kick ass training done with king kai, who also happens to be quite the comic himself
Alex Alex Haven't heard that in a long time. Don't know why it didn't come to mind. But it being here, made me laugh. Have you heard this one: A priest, a rabbi, and a shaman come over... and its my eighth birthday! :D Except there was no rabbi and shaman, and the priest was molesting me. Except the priest was my dad and he's not a priest. My dad molested me. O.o :( You hear that dad?! You're gonna pay! Your a CHhiIiIiillLLLlLLDdd molester! I am certain that I messed it up somehow as I haven't heard it in a long time.
Alex...never did I expect to laugh at a rape joke...but that was funny. And I think I knoe why, at least for me. It was about the play on words and the absurdist nature of the of joke and its simplicity. Well done.
What’s great about Patrice is he’s actually listening during these heated exchanges. Most people are so passionate about their own points, they can’t even hear what the other person says.
Patrice is the only comedian that could legit pull this type of unrehearsed comedy off live on Fox, have it make sense and have it still be hilarious. Even the producer off camera broke out laughing.
He's so much smarter than her that it's funny. Her motive just oozes through her words, control, getting her own way. Framing her thoughts as "the nations" or "the people". She's the OG of cancel culture. Framing cancel culture as the people saying they want to get rid of shock jocks, when in reality, "the people", the consumers, vote but watching the show or not. And guess what, the ratings were sky high.
Well said mate. Taking away peoples freedoms is what this bullshit boils down to. They don’t want people to joke or laugh about things that aren’t “approved” by them. Just a disgusting power grab
You know what’s crazy after coming back to this segment years later? Both Patrice AND the woman in the clip ended up being correct, but in different ways. She is 100% correct that the mood in the parts of the country has shifted towards cracking down on offensive speech. And Patrice is correct in saying that it’s a dangerous path to go down and doesn’t represent the reality or the situation/context those “offensive” statements are made in. He’s right to say it’s the “PC cops run amuck” and she’s right to say that people are “feeling a new sense of entitlement”. It’s just interesting seeing how a clip from the mid-2000s can show the embryonic stage of the culture war that’s been exploding in the past few years.
Thats true. Except I will say this "mood" and cultural shift she spoke of, from everything I've seen, its usually brought about by the loud minority. The silent majority of people don't see anything wrong with it, but because a few people can't take a joke, and won't shut up about it, politicians and news channels are running with it, and framing that like they speak for everyone.
You are absolutely wrong about the President if the HOE society. Everything about Cancel Culture is astro turfed. The people are against it. Only commies are for it.
Paul Correia IKR. I don't even know what the joke was, but I can tell you, funny or not, it wouldn't bother me one bit. I have heard jokes about rape, and some have made me laugh. Because it is nothing more than just a joke. Jokes by definition are not serious and when you try to take something serious that isn't, you aren't going to like it.
His intelligence on her "intention" and lack of knowledge on her own point. It's amazing. Maybe I'm biased because my father was a stand up comedian but I'm trying to objectively say I feel comedians are some of the most intelligent and well adjusted and insightful people. I think he spoke profoundly and objectively and picked apart SO many expectations that are unjust.
Notice how she not only used as hominems first, but after he called her out for potentially being outraged if HE called her names, she just skipped past that with no accountability
Exactly! She laughed he head off the whole drive home then got really horny at the thought of her man doing that to her ASAP. Rumor is she is now in a constant state of concussion to this day.
He's too real man, and these people are like robots. My husband has cancer and he laughs at jokes about it. What these people don't understand is that when you're truly suffering in life with something, it's nice to laugh and make light of it sometimes. It helps to deal with it actually. What truly matters is intention and you can tell when someone is genuinely just trying to be funny or trying to be mean. Language, gesture, context and tone. He's genuinely funny and these spoiled weaklings can kiss my ass. Real comedians help a lot of people who are going through shit.
Erik Munoz hate to agree, but yes, you're correct. Many people like to reminisce about the time when this country was first formed by the efforts of our founding fathers. What they fail to realize is that our founding fathers were no different than the power mongering politicians of today. They fought for freedom altruistically? Total bs. They had their own goals which just so happened could be furthered by breaking away from England for "freedom". Spit.
***** yes it does have everything to do with freedom of speech. You can say what you wish but in this country, there will be covert ways to suppress you, being censored or attacked personally like a child would do. People see this happen and figure "I'd better shut my mouth or else". That exists in this country.
***** so the constitution has nothing to do with the people's rights as well as those of our government? Is that what you are seriously telling me? Think hard before you answer.
"Youre gunna get all your information from second from someone who made you aware of something you should be upset about. Its a shame".. this is exactly what has been going on in the past decade. They see little snippets and immediately feel outraged, while ignoring all context.
Lmao you can tell she had her speech entirely planned and scripted but unfortunately for her she wasn’t ready to deal with someone who speaks from the heart and is real
whats sad is back then the guys were willing to laugh even if they had to keep it quiet for the show and on camera but behind the scenes you know they died...now they would keep it in and feel like shit...thats restricting of freedom of expression and art is absurd....sex was only treated like the outcast in media but now all of it is...its insane
He ends it perfectly. She’s not offended, she just hears that something might be offensive to someone else and wants to end it. Typical cancel culture.
This nailed it..They aren't offended personally, they place offense onto themselves, from the mere possbility that someone else may be offended. Wtf lol.
One thing! Just one thing! Please tell IT to me: WHY tf do I have so many fans even though no RU-vidr is unprettier than I am? WORLDWIDE!!!! WHY??? Tell me, dear mihuel
A small but vocal minority of college-"educated" self-righteous ideological zealots who have been brainwashed into being the self-ordained spokespeople for professional victims in marginalized groups as a way to undermine an overall functioning civilization. In a word: Cultural Marxism. Alright, that was two words but you get my point.
Patrice Oneal and Andrew Breitbart both spearheaded the counter offensive against the oncoming authoritarian takedown and now they're both dead? Coincidence? Nope.
@@Byronic19134 dude knew he was gonna die.. Kept eating like a monster.. Knew he was getting sick and sick.... He didn't realize what a national treasure he would be today... His value would have shut up more than even bitcoin.
Serial killers statistically have immensely high I.Q.'s. Are they natural born comedians too? And who the fuck cares if people are smart? Smart people are some of the most hateful and spiteful and full of their own ego. Who enjoys being around people like that?
nopersonalities your First retorical question was the stupidest Thing i've heard He said that comedians are smart and not that smart People automatically are comedians thats like saying my pinky is a Finger and you're saying oh so every Finger has to be a pinky?
When I think about how crazy the world has become since patrice's passing it infuriates me that he's not here to speak on it. Chappelle is doing his best, but Patrice's ability to break down and satirize dishonesty was unparalleled.
RudyMonte he can't here your text bullshit. He cant here mine either. But i do it anyways. Cause im still here. Fucking, drinking. Smoking, fucking. Pick an order. What you know about?
Not only at that moment did she lose... It was at that very moment that SHE knew she lost. Her entire tone changed. She immediately lost what little conviction she had. My man Patrice had the cameraman laughing LMAO sometimes in life it is benefical to make light of heavy issues.
people had no idea how right he was at the time. now you cant say anything of your own cos its offensive. you cant question certain groups and they have made entire rules that everyone has to follow. thats the importance of freedom of speech, its not trying to offend people, its keeping the social dictators off the controls
Let people try. I don't like shutting someone down any time I can make fun of them for "trying to be funny". Trying leaves them vulnerable, and if no one is ever willing to be vulnerable it's because they're scared. It would be a sad world if everyone were scared of being shut down. Most people are, but I'm not yet.
4:30 Patrice "Its called the Donkey Punch! * Laughter in the background * Patrice: "Why you laughing? Shes Outraged" The Feminist Arguing with him: *holding back her laughter* WHAT ELSE IS THERE NEEDED TO BE SAID
The fact that he got someone off camera to laugh was proof enough that he's right. Edit: Thanks for the like people. I do live streams and gaming videos on my channel if you’d like to see a Nimrod play. Drop a sub help me reach 100 so I can start sending links to my page please.
She broke character momentarily there as she ducked her head and tried to stop smiling. He actually won her over and she realized he was right. She had to keep her narrative going, but knew she had been bested by the legend
That's really my favourite part. When she laughed, she was exposed as a phony. Too bad Patrice did not see her laughing, or it would have been an even bigger smash.
It also doesn't help her that Patrice and the interviewer had such a strong connection. The interviewer was professional and did not take sides - but you just know who he would most like to listen to or even spend any time with.
I love how they obviously invited Patrice to the show with the intent to make him look like an asshole. He destroyed them. When the crew started laughing with him, you could tell that chick HATED IT. Patrice O’Neal would have been amazing in 2021 with all these Karen’s around.

@@xtscarfacem8255 Alyssa Milano is the one, in 2017 after the Weinstein thing, that encouraged it as a hash tag. Then, it got out of control. Censorship of course, but also once you were accused, that's it. No trial. If it's on social media, you're guilty in the court of public opinion. No innocent until proven guilty as the law states anymore. People are scared to even look at each other anymore. It started as a good thing, but was weaponized like everything else that brushes with politics. Milano took something that she didn't create, and basically made it a "white women are always in danger" movement. I guess the bitchy characters she always played weren't an act.
See, perfect examples. We, the regular people, can see the humor in that, but the small amount of butthurt sensitive people are the loudest in the US and try to say they represent everyone. These people are hijacking language, comedy and social norms all at the same time and need to be stopped.
Canadian MGTOW Man after spending nearly an hour arguing with a feminist in real life about whether consensual sex was always about domination and rape I can absolutely see some insane feminist saying this. The feminist I spoke to was absolutely convinced that all acts of penetrative sex were rape. No matter what the situation, even if the woman is on top, it's rape apparently. It's about domination, even if the woman is begging for sex, nope the mans a rapist. Truly deluded thinking.
"All your information, ma'am, is second hand from someone making you aware that someone may have said something that you should be upset about. It's a shame. The people you represent aren't all victims in this matter."-Patrice O'Neal He was a genius. RIP
The reality is, there is no victims, because its a joke. A joke is a joke and rape is rape. You have freedom of speech but not freedom of rape. If this lady and all other progressive or pc types are offended, change the channel or dont go to a comedy show. This outrage society is getting old, it all boils down to power and control and the thought and speech police are the arms of that power.
I actually think that's my favourite part of the whole clip and there are so many parts to pick. He just nails it there at the end. People like her make their living lobbying against things that someone, somewhere may have been offended by. They don't create any content, they only destroy it.
