Patrice and Anthony are absolutely right. If I want something I buy it myself, my ex used to say it was hard to buy me gifts and I would say that's because I worked to the point I just buy what I want. Women are better at recieving and wanting gifts. Even if they can afford it they'll rather you get it for them to show love.
does anyone's woman give good gifts? I can honestly say I have NEVER received a good gift from any girlfriend or wife in my life. They always seem to give you shit that they want you to like, not a gift that you actually like. I also agree with Patrice on the cards too, they are a waste. And I hate how they stare at you while you are reading the card and pretending to be "moved" by it and they get pissy if you didn't do a convincing job that you had some emotional reaction to their stupid card. Hell, I have been point blank asked what I wanted, told her what I wanted, then I wind up getting something else because she thought "you'd like this better". No bitch, I wanted this specific tool (just a level, not expensive) but in stead you decided that I wanted some pajamas!! And I know that you thought "I'd like this better" because they don't sell tools at the mall, so you just bought PJs while you were already at the mall shopping for the kids, so your lazy ass wasn't thinking about me, you were just not giving a shit about what I wanted. This is why I just buy my own shit now and I throw the shitty gifts from her into my closet, only to be thrown away next year.
I just had my birthday last week. I was sick all weekend, so we did not make any plans. On my birthday, my wife let the kids wake me up (even though I had a shitty night of coughing and hacking), then kept asking me to do shit, then at night she didn't even make a cake or anything and the kids wanted to have me blow out candles so I made a cake. My wife didn't get me shit for my birthday this year. The funny thing is that I am actually happy about it because I never get anything good from her anyway, but now that she didn't get me anything I am free to not do anything for her on her birthday.
i bet she would make a big deal out of not getting anything. sounds like she is just following protocol or routine, she's doing all of that just so you won't be able to say "hey you forgot my birthday." it's your birthday but she wants to make it about her, every girl i've ever had has done the same thing.
update, her birthday just passed. I didn't do shit, hahaha. When she saw me leaving for work she asked, "you're going to work?" and I was like, yup see you tonight. She acted like it didn't bother her because she knew that if she complained I would remind her of the shitty birthday I just had. Also, she had a better birthday because I didn't ask her for shit all day and even took over with the kids so she could chill on her day. That is more than her ass gave me.

Opie gem hunting is becoming a rewarding sport for me, it's rare but because it comes from infertile grounds, it's a remarkable feat of nature. Remember Patrice never had a relationship with his father and this even cracked him up. Remember that, the next time someone gets offended frivolously.
Someone is going to have to make one themselves, maybe appeal to someone who makes RU-vid documentaries that would get Patrice's style, if they interviewed Opie, Anthony, and the rest it could turn out pretty good.
I know, most women buy shit that guys don't want. It is even more annoying when they spend $50 on a stuffed animal or some other piece of shit that you don't want and there were hundreds of gifts in the price range that you would have been happy with. If men were this clueless, we would have to buy our girl car parts in order equal the same level of shitty gift giving that they do.
Patrice was incredibly sensitive. He knitted, had small puppies, baked, and liked his nipples played with, a lot of people have the wrong perception of him.
