You referenced a look from my lookbook that totally helped me figure out what you meant but I only used parts of each comment just to keep the length of this video down haha but I totally figured out what you meant :P No worries and it was a great suggestion!!! For the second coordinate, I think it would have been interesting to play around with more browns. The issue with it for me was that shoes just didn’t fit with the head pieces, so messing around with tan colored accessories up top would make it look more cohesive, in my opinion.

Jay Nicole I have to agree, I find those brown boots painfulll and I don't understand. The whole video is like a gorgeous, sweet dream about gorging on cupcakes with angels in a floating cloud cafe.. and then those boots are like.. spotting a little bit of poo in the corner of the bakeshop 🍬🍰🍭💩?

your videos where you talk about coord choices are my favorite!! i love hearing what colors/patterns/details stick out to someone in a main piece and it helps me SO much with not just planning and fixing my own coords, but planning what i wear to work, too. i got into wearing lolita partially because i really fell in love with the idea of an outfit that's interconnected in every single little piece imaginable and hearing you share the thoughts behind your choices is so much fun and it's so inspiring! tho i gotta say, my favorite choices are always "i wore this thing because i love it so deal with it" because.... it's like pokemon. using your faves is always the best strat.

If you wanted to got for the “peach is a little red and a little yellow” angle then I would suggest pulling that color in a lot more of your accessories, maybe mix up the peach, red and yellow to really bring the color scheme together

I love the Honey Cake coord, loved seeing it at Tekko! I kinda wish you had a brown bomber jacket that matched the brown boots. It might make it more Rockabilly but I think it would be super cute!

oh i actualy really like the last coordinate ! it makes a blue to pink gradiant and i think that's really cool ! i think bright pink shoes and wristcufs can tie that side of the coord together !

In regards to the floofy earings with Honey Cake: there is pink text on the pancake box and a pink bow on the chocolate syrup, so you could say the earings match that!

The first outfit I’d switch the head piece for a boater hat or something similar, make it a cute picnic moment. For the second one I’d definitely get rid of the earrings, it kind of clashes, if you want to cover your ears maybe wear pancake earrings or studs? Also you may want to try using eye lash glue to kind of close your ears up a bit but i don’t think you should worry about them to much! Also I like id use the brown more. I feel like the shoes should pull the outfit together! The third outfit I feel like you should get rid of the glasses and head piece as they draw attention to your face/ head and away from your outfit. I’d also wear cute ruffled socks. It may even be fun to use the blues in the dress as pops of color. I can only say this much as I don’t wear Lolita and these are my observations !

this was really fun! i think with that wrapping heart coord, a wig without bangs would actually look extremely cute on you, i think that bc the wig wasn't a lacefront or really meant to be bangless, when you styled it, it became a lot more evident that it was a wig, and gave you a bit of a strange hairline. i would really like to see you do a lolita coord with a wig with a middle part!

"Honey that's a reach" I SNORTED. I really want to see Honey Cake (Pancake?) with more browns! I love the heeled boots(?) you wear with the dress, I kept thinking about how the beret you wear in this video could go with brown accessories too! Maybe brown or red wristcuffs, chocolate jewellry and a brown bag? I also love the idea of low ankle ruffle socks

For me the only thing throwing me off about the Honey Cake coord is the patterned tights. Solide tights with or without ruffled socks would pull attention towards the dress and keep a focal point

To the donut coord. Maybe a mix of blue and red accessories. There is blue in the print and in the tights. Maybe blue earrings or a red and a blue bow

I really want Honey Cake or something similar because I have a wonderful red petticoat that doesn't get worn often!! I think it would be a cool and quirky way to wear it. (As you say, "kitschy" which is generally my style and I don't wear lolita often)

I don't know if it's been said but I kept thinking that changing the laces on the brown boots for the Honeycake coord to red wide satin laces would have been so cute! I know that suggestions aren't necessarily wanted, but I feel it would be a really cute touch. I love unconventional shoes in lolita and personalizing things like sneakers ect, so it came to mind.

I love watching your videos about fixing/styling lolita outfits because even though I don’t wear lolita it has helped me a lot - I’ve been able to reconsider my personal style and my outfits when I have fun getting dressed up to go to Disneyland and Dapper Day events! It’s made me look at how to put outfits together completely differently! I’ve been having a lot of fun on weekends wearing space themed clothes :D

I would love to see the Honeycake video! I used to have Honeycake and wound up selling it because I struggled with coordinating it in new and exciting ways plus I lived in constant fear of accidentally staining it. T_T I would love to see some fresh ideas for it! I feel like everyone always defaults to coordinating it with red and there are a surprising amount of colors and themes to play off of with Honeycake. Such a unique and fun print!

I ordered the honey cake jsk in the same color way as yours and personally I was going to try to coordinate it with a light blue blouse that I have as well as a pink blouse. I have no idea how it would turn out but I can’t wait to try and I’d be really excited to see how you coordinate it!

Not a Lolita but I think the main problems were just the colors of either the hair or shoes, the accessories like the earrings would have worked if they were the only non matching color. the look at 18:23 gave me Studio Ghibli vibes.

with the honey cake coord. i dont think its a reach at all for your reasoning for picking those earrings. Sometimes I hate lolita (not the fashion. the community) because its a lil strict with "this color isnt in the print so u cant wear it". I like that you thought how red + yellow in the print meant that it would make the earring color. From an artists point of view, that would mean u went for a coord that would be all warm colors, rather than "just" the main 2 or 3 in the print. Because of that, i think a bit more brown accesories throughout would be good. maybe even a brown bag would be enough. If you want the earrings, and still want them pink, just get something that is food themed.

I'd absolutely love to see a Honey Cake coord idea video. I pre-ordered the MTO, and while I do love the typical red accented coords people do, it'd be nice to see some ideas that think outside the box. Perhaps grabbing different accent colors off the print, like blue or pink.

i don't wear lolita anymore but sometimes if i didn't feel like having bangs I'd use two big decorative barettes that matched the coord (ex. biscuit barrettes for Sweet Cream House) and pin them off my face parted down the middle. Very 2000s, very kawaii lol

Since you talked about being insecure about your ears, have you tried skin coloured plugs that fit the size they're at now? I know my sister uses them when she's acting/very dressed up. While everyones goal is full on self love about everything, there's nothing wrong with disguising stuff, either as a stopgap or a solution

Just a suggestion for your earrings -you could wear a tunnel on your ears and then stick the dangly earrings through so that you don't have to worry about naked ears

About your Honey Cake coordinate: I really don't agree with the concrits given in the video. I feel like pulling colors exclusively from the print for accessories etc is too safe and can make for too much a a matchy matchy look, lacking depth and interest. When you look at fashion today, people are veering away from the matchy matchy, and the fact that you included that in your coordinate is to me really fresh and contemporary! The only thing I would change are the shoes; I loooove that they are brown but I don't love how clunky they are. Maybe a pair of "thinner" brown boots would look much better, while still being sups comfy! =)

Hey it's2020 but better late than never. I love the eternal rose dress. I see it with candy colored oxfords with a modest platform, and a short sleve blouse with a Peter Pan collar and rose flower pin at the neck. That is just my 3 cents, I mean I am not even Lolita. I just love the artistry of it all.

You might not see this, but with the holographic co-ord, I would have gone even more over the top. It seems to me that jsk would look great in a decora inspired co-ord. I'd ditch the pink top for a lavender or blue one, preferably short-sleeved, and probably like FluffyKawaiiJo said, I'd add a pastel rainbow wig instead of the grey one. Instead of a hat, I'd likely go with a bunch of hair accessories (Again, the pattern just reminds me of decora-kei so the more accessories the better) and bracelets or wrist cuffs (maybe even long gloves, one blue and one like a very light pink, less reddish than the blouse). As for socks, I think tights with a woven pattern like a floral or hearts in the weaving (not printed) would bring it up. Again. I'm sure that sounds very not lolita (I'm new to lolita), but I think more j-fashion mixing should happen, and that jsk just screams decora in my head. I hope I wasn't too mean!
