My many recent experiences in Pattaya over last 2 years (since August 2020) are No more than 1,500 Baht for L/T. 800-1,000 S/T in massage places. Not stunners but fun, friendly and eager to please. If from bar then bar fines from 300-800 Baht. Lot's of nice ladies about now (April 2022).
Pattaya is heavily overpriced. Beers and cocktails are more expensive then in Europe / USA. Girls are also becoming more expensive then in Europe / USA. Hotels are still decently prices but not that cheap anymore, especially considering what quality / value you get at a hotel in Pattaya. I stopped visiting Pattaya for leisure a few years ago because for me it had become to expensive and the general environment became less fun as everything got more ''money / business orientated''. There are loads of other great places in Thailand to spend your money.
I'm a veteran Pattaya visitor myself and have to agree that even in the years leading up to Covid, prices were creeping up; for a long time now I have almost totally avoided the go-go bars unless I was on an occasional organized crawl because of the stupidly expensive prices - same with the girls who work in them; I can have more than enough fun at reasonable prices in the beer bars, g-clubs or even the occasional selection from the Coconut Bar. Accommodation is still a good deal there, with something for everyone's budgets and you don't have to spend a fortune on food, either, unless you have to have your full English every morning and big western meal at night. I really enjoyed this video - recognized everywhere you went and am interested to see the changes here and there - can't wait to go back later this year when hopefully things are more back to normal - I also like your delivery, you have an excellent voice and manner of speaking for videos like this, unlike some other bloggers who yammer on endlessly - consider me subscribed.
He does doesnt he. One of the earliest guys I returned to to watch again and again over all these hype artist youtubers producing (admittedly slick) content for the adhd strugglers out there. Good work Daz.
Very interesting. I expect they will try and gouge tourists after all that lost revenue. What Pattaya has going for it is cheap prices, good weather, and safety. It’s certainly nothing to look it - large swaths of it are reminiscent of Detroit, Baltimore, New Orleans war zones. Moreover the traffic is so chaotic, lacking proper sidewalks, you can never truly relax as your head has to be on a swivel. Anything more than 1000 baht is serious rip-off for Thai pie. Aka petulant cellphone zombies. In nearly all of South America you can get hot Latina pie for $5-$8 depending on your negotiating abilities, and genuine supermodels for a bit more. The experience is an order of magnitude better than Thai pie. South America is largely unsafe, but panama is safe, though a bit pricier. Eastern European pie is also an order of magnitude better than Thai pie, and about the same price. But Europe doesn’t have year-round warm weather unfortunately. To me, the only reason pattaya or really all of Thailand makes sense is to reside or holiday long-term. It doesn’t make sense to me to go halfway ‘round the world for a mediocre, over-priced “experience”
Yes, prices in Pattaya/BKK have gone way up, while value has gone way down. My individual preference for Thai girls are simply not what it was...nothing to do with price increases. In my opinion, Thai girls' "good take care" happy attitudes have changed so unbelievably. A shift over to the Philippines & Kenya looks to be where I am headed.
@@tuforu4 really? I have no idea, to be honest. Of course, I have friends and family in the States who have a perception that the Philippines is a drug-addled culture with all the murders here, etc. and they wonder how 'safe' I feel. I simply point out that my 66-year-old wife feels safe as houses here, at least insofar as being ended by violence. But I have no sense of African red light districts as being dangerous--no idea.
Daz makes an excellent point. It's difficult to make the case to go to Thailand for these prices when one can get this kind of service at an FKK in Europe. In my experience, there is a higher likelihood of better service in the FKK and the facilities in the FKKs are usually far nicer as well. With these increased prices, I'm not really motivated to travel all the way to Thailand when I can more easily travel to Europe for similar prices.
Yes. According to Prince Andrew, Woking is an excellent alternative, and it has a Pizza Express, which I am sure I saw him at one night, but I can't be sure?
@@savagefeedback682 Good question -- Thailand is fairly cheaper, especially in the area of accommodation (for similar class accommodations). So, yes, from that standpoint, Thailand remains a bargain. In my case, since my hobby costs far out pace all other expenses, the increased accommodation costs don't move the needle that much for me (at least in comparison to my direct hobby costs to service providers).
Pattaya is a long way to go for a sporting trip , my last visit in 2019 left me with a " jaundiced " view of the ladies tariffs & attitudes , i enjoyed my time in Vietnam more , not as much sporting opportunities , but overall a better holiday experience.
You EARNED my Subscription just from explaining the REAL Reason WHY/HOW the prices increased 📈 From the Average Thai working wage/cost of Living -- because of the Japanese🇯🇵 & the South Koreans 🇰🇷 ❗️💥🤦🏿♂️
,, the US is predicted to be in a SEVERE recession in 2023, , notice I said SEVER, think depression. Countries like the Philippines and others in the area in extreme financial situations but holding back on dealing with a huge amount of bankruptcies in the cities.. expect prices to come down and then desperation will set in,,
I think that LTs are the only thing that is reasonable , all other prices are more exspensive than the west , even Beers and food are cheaper in many western countries and i can get a ST also cheaper here in the west , if you go to other Asian countries like Vietnam and Cambodia food and drink is a lot cheaper , the only thing that has gone down in price in Pattaya ( at the moment ) are the hotel prices
Thank You very much for your information and consideration informing new people and in general 👍. Yes OVER PRICED ! I will not over pay for anything. The place is beautiful and lots of sight seeing and restaurants I can just avoid all the girly hustling if they're going to treat me like a chump.
I have watched the prices go up in Pattaya over the last 20 years and prior to Covid I'd say the main reason is guys agreeing to or just giving more money than was necessary, "LDOP'S" loser dupe over payers is the term that is used.
I have always thought WS was a rip-off. When I first came to Pattaya in 1986, most of the night-life terrified me, and I didn't need it as I was young, good looking and popular with the girls back home. I did no return again until 2009 by which time the town had grown, but it was still cheap in most respects. I was last there in Jan/Feb 2020, when it was no longer such a bargain, but you did get things you could not easily get at the local pub in the UK! Based upon what I am seeing and hearing, and with the advent of the rise of social media, I think cheap fun days are over. You still get things that are not readily available at home, but at a price which makes you question whether it is worth flying half way round the world, when you could use that $1000 airfare towards some fun closer to home. That equation appears to be becoming increasingly finely balanced. The 'dancers' will soon find the tipping point!
My first visit to Thailand was in 1987 and let's just say...it was interesting. Of course, in 1986 I was young and in my prime and didn't know better. Now I'm not in my prime, my needs are minimal (if at all) from such adult services, but it's good to know at least that such services are available there. The Philippines isn't much different from Thailand, really, in terms of available...services.
@@ShadyD365 $20 😮 Bloody hell I thought my £59 competition win was a bargain. How in the name of the lord are you getting there for that much 😁 Something to do with a four letter name perhaps?
@@ShadyD365 Nice. I really ought to sort my cc situation out 😄 How is it over there, feel like it's ramping up in busyness yet? I'm on the cusp of coming over in 2 weeks, or perhaps waiting till December. Can't make my mind up at all. 3 month stay. Pros for now supposedly being: * off season pricing(?) * last chance for STV * cheaper because they're still desperate for business (?) * nice balance of tourist numbers before it goes mad again * what if it locks down again later * no koreans/Russians rich blokes pushing prices up atm Am I off the mark with any of those you reckon? I've gone back and forth between both and cant decide. Thinking of Dec so I get to see an English summer 😅
After reading some of the comments I have to say that greed and stupidity and the false belief that they can charge big money for services will see Pattaya shoot it self in the foot as punters look for other destinations and as they say in Thai " som num naa" which means serves yourself right.
Gogos have become way too expensive. My last holiday in 2019 I've avoided barfining from there. I only went there to see the girls dancing. Beer bars , Soi 6 and freelancers are still great though. Short time for 1000 and Long time for 1500 - 2000. A soapy is a nice experience, but not too often considering the price. I don't think Pattaya has become overpriced, just the gogos and soapys
@Duncan Donut Donut I've always managed to find plenty of good looking girls outside of the gogos. There are no old girls on the six and it won't take long before you find a nice girl in a beer bar or on thaifriendly
@@carnivorechronicles What do you mean? Most girls I've asked want around that price for long time. From freelancers on Beach Road to the girls in beer bars. Soi 6 is meant for short time of course, so they might ask for more. Unless you barfine them late in the evening.
Yes of course it,s over priced. but you have to take the fact. That Thai,s have got no clue about how much cheaper girls are outside Thailand. and after covt.19 other place,s. are easier and girls are a lot cheaper. as well
I have lived in Pattaya going on 7 months now and agree 💯 percent. Gogos are basically very overpriced gents clubs with no dancing and prices are ridiculous for both your drinks and the girl's. Also many of the girls are no longer going with customers AT ALL..even for ST because they are making too much in salary and LD's. Gogos and simps are ruining Pattaya at the moment IMO. Good luck!
100% it is. It was the only place in south-east Asia open for a long time so things slowly crept up in price. if I was going to SE Asia right now I would go to the Philippines, and probably spend most of my time in Angeles.
Great video. If looking for anything from a street vendor I'd go to Luk Dot, I think that's where the vendors get a lot of their stock. I think the biggest shift in Pattaya has been the business model of the bars, shifting from selling pus** to selling shows and not really wanting ladies to BF. I have a month off June 1st, I'll jump on a plane if they drop the BS restrictions. If not I'm not wearing masks at home, everything is open, etc. I'm not sure I want to go back to COVID BS, better to just stay home and ride my motorcycle in California.
Can’t speak for everything but prices have gone up slightly. ST 1000 I’m good with that. For sure the Moto Taxis are asking too much, so this trip I’ve used bolt and the song Tao’s.
I'm currently in Samui at the moment and prices have significantly increased here as well....in the bars, massage shops and freelance. Bar fines are 1000 in some establishments...girls are asking for 2000 for ST....3k-4k for LT. But I will admit, the quality of girls here are stunning. So most of the time, the price is not an issue once you got a few shots in ya.
@@ActiveAussie2024 Aussie iam Aussie too and having lived there on and off for years believe me I'd never give a girl more that 5000 baht to stay a week . I never have forked out more than that, and I never will. Anybody paying more than that is a mug!
One word.CAMBODIA ! No visa problems, ladies a fraction of the price that mugs pay in Bangkok/Pattaya,beers 25 baht(yes 25 baht!)tips that are genuinely appreciated,no matter how small, ffs guys realise Thailand is not the only whore house in the world, not only Cambodia but Viet Nam as well is by a long shot far far cheaper,Thais have become even greedier and since they've lost 2 years of normal tourism Thai logic kicks in and they put prices up,come on you guys wisen up and vote with your feet and thank me later.
meh. cambodia just doesnt feel right to me. i usually stay there whenever im doing the visa run....you know, the area along the mekong river(where its supposed to be the most happening),but that place just doesnt click with me. i guess, what i like the most about pattayaa is the beach roaaad, and cambodia definitely doesnt have one.
sounds good to me--then later hit a beer bar, knock a few back, enjoy some pretty girls fake interest, but be satisfied and less horny and thus able to resist their suggestion of spending 2000TB for short time. Ha ha.
Where in Pattaya? I live here and I get quoted 1000 to 1300 including the room from all the places I see around town...soi honey, soi pothole, 13/1 and 13/2 etc. Curious to find better if you know..thanks.
Good video again. Yes The ST/LT has increased because of certain tourists. BUT it is still far cheaper than here. Like you said the main tourist areas will always be a bit pricier. I have seen all your Condo/hotel reviews and Living there would be more economical than anywhere in the west or Europe Especially if you can cook.
They will be cheap for next 3 years at least , I had partner own business in Pattaya for 5 years ,.... massive over development, no real building laws Hua hin does that’s why they look different. Rents are not much diff then three years ago so they never really fell so they will not rise for a while .
An acquaintance of mine said that he visited a service here in the Philippines where the woman would do all that the soapy gals would...except it involved using body oil instead. It sounds awfully messy--he said that they were in a short-time room with the bed covered in a waterproof coverlet. I think that soap would be preferable!
That elephant souvenir thing is exactly what a beach seller tried to sell me a month ago or so. He also started at 1,200, just wouldn't leave even though I ignored him the entire time, 1,000, 900, 850, 800... 10 minutes later he was down to 50 baht so I bought it just to annoy my wife. She threw it in the bin 🤣
๋I like these places. I have a drink, I look at the girls and the adventure continues upstairs. You have to live this unique experience of the aquarium. If there are no customers, prices will come down fairly quickly. Good summary.
That’s a very good comparison you did with Thai wages. Their prices seem to be unfair, but post lull, the predatory pricing will peak. The worst part is that newbies and two week millionaires won’t negotiate. However, it’s only the expats who live there can play a major role in normalizing the prices. But yeah, walking street is going to be a money sucking zone.
@@taalofaa I have no problem with loud music of most kinds be that Rock, Pop, Thai, EDM and even Techno. What I absolutley hate is the white noise created by multiple competing sound systems. For that reason my go to place is Hunny Lounge on Soi Honey just up from the first soapy on the film. Graham, his wife Nam and the girls will make you feel very welcome.
@@taalofaa I have no idea. All I know is when I first went to Pattaya in 1986, it was a fraction of the size it is now, and it grew exponentially because of demand for the type of holiday it offered. It may be the case that demand slightly shrinks and the venues move to different places like Buakhao or Tree Town or Pothole, or Lenke, but I suspect Pattaya will remain evolve and adapt to whatever demand there is and survive.
Supply and demand - they can ask the price but with fewer customers fewer girls will command that price. You’re right it was getting silly expensive prior to Covid and seems they are simply recommending the gouging. Time to go somewhere else - variety is the spice of life
Never been to Thailand, but it's been interesting to hear about "soapies" and all that stuff. No idea what one is exactly, but I guess it involves a lady, slippery liquid, and a gentleman sausage.
I enjoyed watching this and listening to your experience and advice very informative what is invaluable to me is Knowing the price in sterling thank you mate. 👍🤝👊🏴
Thank you for your excellent videos. They are brilliantly put together, entertaining and very informative. Could you make a video for us newbies to explain when to tell bar/gogo girls that one is a butterfly, how to select a girl that did not initially approach, when to pay bar fines (after a drink or two?), etc, without making the girls lose face. Also I noticed that the most attractive girls in these videos are those holding the placards to invite/bait potential customers. Are these girls available to bar fine if asked? Thank you very much.
Mr Dancer. Lol! All those questions have already been covered in his previous videos. Once in the bar you are in control to some extent. Pick the girl you want. Depending on your time and resources buy her as many or less LDs as reasonable. LDs always helps break the ice and you should know if you have chemistry. You can be barfining even after 1 drink. Don’t be concerned about other girls losing face. They don’t. My personal advice also is to not be too eager for girls “that did not initially approach”. I would totally avoid a girl that her body language shows she isn’t interested in me. Placard holding girls are also available and the same rules above apply to them.
Good vlog, good idea talking about street vendors, especially food vendors as opposed to eating in restaurants..last few visits iv not eaten in a restaurant
Have to agree with you Thailand is still very cheap to live in, one of the best! also those Japanese putting up the prices everywhere they go ! Just subscribed!
I used to stay at the honey Inn Hotel. It was a good place to stay and cheap. I was sad to see soi honey turned mainly into a massage soi. There were some good bars there back in the day. 2000b to 3000b for a soapy, no way I'd pay that. Get a big can of shaving foam, a bottle of bubble bath. And get your new friend to give you one back at the hotel. Same same but different. Its the cheap Charlie way , and nothing wrong with that. Kean yow rules 555
the question must be. Will Pattaya go back to what it used to be? What made it a famous city in almost the whole world? You also have to ask yourself, will Thailand go back to being the tourist country it was before 2020? I think the answer to both questions is. I really doubt it.
I am going to be brutally honest here. It doesn't matter so much what food and accommodation costs, whether we are talking 2 week tourists or expats. What matters is the women. If the women are kind, affordable and predictable, all is good in the hood. If the women are lazy, unattractive, have their faces stuck in their mobile phones, the Lady Drinks cost half your budget and you yet are in no way sure that you will actually take her home that night no matter what you spend, making you feel like a loser at home, middle aged and a tummy paying drinks just to see the girl in the bar treat you like trash, well then it is over. It is what it is, but that's what's what.
You don't buy lady drinks in the first place without knowing a girl's personal policy regarding being barfined. You ask her right away-that's how you avoid that unpleasant situation.
100% agreed, its really about the availability, quality, and easy of getting laid. if that advantage isnt there like its been in the past, people will stop coming.
Why is it when all of the youtubers over there list the obstacles to tourist, you leave mask off your list? The ThaiPass is a 40 minute inconvenience; wearing a mask is a 24 hr a day- 7 day a week pain in the ass. AND IT'S WORTHLESS! I guarantee the idea of wearing a mask in tropical heat is making people pick places like Central America, The Bahamas, Greece, etc. where there are no mask mandates.
first of all, thank you very much for these videos. they are very informative. secondly, i was wondering the situation in thailand with the stray dogs. 10 years ago it used to be a very big problem. are the back streets safe to walk or ride a motorbike, especially at night ?
Over the last 2 years, there has been a big increase in stray dogs, now there are several parts of Pattaya, mostly Kasitsin area where I used to live, where it was not safe to walk to the shop at night, something needs to be done soon as it will start to negatively affect tourism.
Quite a few dogs roaming around in the evening. I steer clear if I can. During day it's so hot they just sleep. Just had a month in pattaya and I had a great time . Cheers Daz
I live in Bangkok, I found on dating apps so many Pattaya woman now online trying to sell services including webcam services, it's so annoying but what got my attention was the numbers of them doing it which told me they are struggling in Pattaya. So it's surprising that they are trying to get top dollar down there with not many foreigners. And even though they know a lot of foreigners are in Bangkok they will contact them in the hopes of somehow getting money. The knock on effect is it's starting to ruin dating apps. If I could put a percentage on it I would say about %90-%95 of woman from Pattaya were offering a service when I talked to them, though most are clever enough to get your LINE ID straight away which usually is a good indicator that it's going to be a worker. Though I have the same problem in Bangkok it's no where near as bad. I think it's going to be a number of years before everything returns to normal because of covid and the war plus global inflation keeping tourists away.
I remember as Air Force member in the 70s paying 40 baht for the service and one time paying 20 baht for additional service tourists have not only raised prices but unfortunately the callus way they look and treat tourist that’s why if I get to come back I’ll head north
Never bothered with the go-go's. Beer bar girls were BF 500, ST 1500 LT2-2.5k. FL's 1-2k. This was 3 years ago though, will be interesting to see the difference this October.
Thanks for the video, I enjoy them very much and your easy going narrative. There's so many hateful comments on here about pattaya and Thailand though, Why are people watching these videos, Bizzare. One guy claims he can get gorgeous girls in South America for 5 Dollars.. Haha it's just silly! Yes the go-go girls are more expensive than others and some won't even go out of the bar etc. But the cost of living here and eating are really good! There's also plenty of girls for 1000 baht or even beach road 500 if that's your thing. I live in Jomtien and it's a great place to live. Everything is here or on your doorstep.
Soapy are a big rip off costing between 2000 & 3000 then extra on top for the other plus tip and drinks in the room. They say all in for 2000 that just body to body not even a real massage you want to leave with a smile going to cost extra. Best to go to a beer bar and get a normal ST far cheaper.
I don't feel it's increased its prices too much since my first visit in 2006. Only real difference is the baht. I was getting nearly 80 to the pound back then but now it's 40
The quality of the women in pattaya now is terrible. Was out there recently and most nights i struggled to find anything over a 6/10. And even they were trying for 3000st which is ridiculous. Years ago every bar had a couple of stunners, now its full of mingers and over weight girls. Lets just hope it returns to what it once was soon. One of the things killing pattaya the most is guys sending vast amounts of money to their RU-vid live streams which makes them lazy to go with or even acknowledge customers in the bar.
In my opinion Pattaya isn’t much of a value anymore. More importantly, it’s lost the Wild West excitement it once had. Just seems like a yet another tourist trap these days. But hey, that’s just my opinion. A lot of people like to spend their time and money there, so go for it.
It’s mainly go go and soapy that is overpriced..accommodation and food is still great value, I used to go go hop about 14 years ago when walking st was busy but avoided bar fines..plenty of quality in the discos and beer bars so no need to pay silly prices
Yes it is. Walking Street has been overpriced for years and the gogos. I like Walking street but the drink prices are a joke. I never go in the gogos because of the ripoff aspect.
I've had 100+ of soapies in pattaya. Only honey2 had good girls after 2019. Hottest girls only appear in weekend nights after 21, hotter than gogo girls. Quality of rooms and hygiene standards will make you realize how bad soi 6 bars rooms are, nightwish included. Still overpriced imo.
It has become more expensive coz they have now seen the fat mingers in the UK...so they now know to charge double or treble the price ....got you by the wallet !!!! So that means bars, drinks and most things also go up aswell.....so its fucked unless you want to be ripped off!!!! Was a great place before back 15 years....exchange rate etc
I went to Hollywood night club in Pattaya with my Korean and Japanese friends right before the pandemic, about 2 and half years ago. The girls were asking for 6,000 to 8,000 Bhat for a Long Time from the Korean and Japanese customers in the night club. By the way, the girls didn't even bother asking me for a lady drink , knowing that I am not Korean or Japanese who were willing to pay 6,000 to 8,000 Bhat for a Long Time. Pattya is getting expensive.
Yeah lol if you look stupid. and have cash. you can't blame the girls for charging extra for Japanese and Korean men just will not say anything about the price
@@poohnay16 I suspect it's a question of face--it seems that being a white foreigner often affords one higher status. Don't know that it's true but it could be the way it is.
LT should be about 2000 - 2500, which is around what pre-Covid prices were. Certainly, it depends whether it is a go-go girl (higher), bar girl (mid range) or Beach girl. It will stabilize when more bars open and the number of girls increases.
New to the chanel , & yes my old haunt back in the early 90s, and remembering the baht being 69 to the pound,we splashed the money then 🤣 what a great time
barfining girls from Gogos has become very expensive , freelancers from nightclubs was the most economical last time I was there , but if there is a negative for some , I think your appearance can have a bearing on how you go there
This could be a huge problem. In your previous videos, you discussed the large amount of money the girls are making to just sit around and have a few drinks. If you throw an extra 100,000 visitors into the mix it's just going to get much worse. People say more girls will come but also you alot more bars going to be opening. The demand for bar girls is rising daily. Visitors returning this year could leave very disappointed. First time visitors may never return.
@@everythingPattaya and the barfine is more readily available, Daz reports, from the older ladies. Always advisable from the get-go to ask if the girl of your dreams (for that moment) IS available, If not...for many as you say...what's the point of sitting in there unless you just want to drink and have fun>?
I,ve been saying for years Phuket has been expensive, maybe people are starting to realize, just be careful or smart, a little Thai and negotiating goes a long way . Have fun with them and don,t be fooled by their witchery. Cheers 🍻
All horses for courses price wise. Obviously the tourist will get reamed, same as any tourist destination in the world. Obvs why the places that attract the two weeker tourist, such as soapys and walking street, are closed or struggling still. For your resident, using a little bit of common sense, it is still a cheap place to live, eat and drink whilst also enjoying the seedier side
