Nice result but . . . That’s just too much work to get a good fitting garment. I now just stick to my Cashmerette patterns and hack them for the style I like.

I've just finishing my wearable toile of this pattern in a light cotton. I made a muslin originally and followed the chart measurements but it was much too tight. I knew that I would need an FBA and lowering the bust dart so I chose XS for my high bust size and graded to a L. Not a great fit at all. With this version I kept the bust alterations but graded out only to M as this version was very big! I too had so weird drag lines and I have never had that problem before. I think it's the drafting. Thank you for providing one of the first proper critiques of this pattern. The collar is lovely but the boxy drafting is not great for curves I think. It was a lot of work !

Oh how I wish I’d seen this before making this one up. I made the size required for my measurements as the pattern said it had enough ease. BUT….I can’t do it up 😤 I am so annoyed. I’ll make the next size up but I’m not happy at all. However, your review and comments are great. Thanks so much for taking the time to review it.

Hi - when you did your FBA did the dart change shape? I have to do a 2” FBA…the dart legs are slightly different on the pattern aren’t they? One is straight to the Apex (unusual) and the other is angled up (typically)…When I do the FBA the dart that comes out is more equal (both angled in to the point. I may go to back FriPatternCo on this too. What do you think?

i like how you altered the sleeves to be elasticated at the wrist. i have the fibre mood tilda, which is a very similar style but with short sleeves. i think i might modify my pattern to have sleeves like yours so that i can make a winter version. thanks for the inspiration!

Very pretty fabrics, and that style suits you. I see what you mean about the ‘drag lines’. I think it is something to do with the design. It’s as if the back piece is too wide for the front pieces. Or the armscye is too deep. Interesting.

I enjoyed your review and have made four versions of this patterns, two in cotton lawn and two in challis. I agree the pattern is short but that suits me. I didn’t do an FBA but what I have done on one version is lengthen by 2 inches and add in two waist ties at the side seams which are actually nicest tied at the front.

I love how your tops turned out in these pretty prints. The leaf print versions looks so cute with the elasticized sleeves. I also love how you can have a faux dress with the matching skirts. Thanks for the review.😊
