12 yrs ago and Patti is still one of the most gorgeous women in the world. Love you lady! This recipe is fantastic however I have diabetics so I have found ways to still make it without so many calories. I can’t eat like this anymore. I use chicken broth and lactated milk. It tastes pretty good not as rich but it’s still wonderful.

My great aunt rest her soul she was 95 years old before she passed ♥️. She had the best baked mac and cheese in America. She used Rigatoni noodles only, and I’m sure eggs and buttermilk. She layered the beds of cheeses and macaroni noodles between each other to make it like a cheesy Mac and cheese pie. I miss her and her secret recipe.

Always cook your Mac and cheese covered for the first 15 minuets to keep the flavor and moisture in. Then for the remaining time cook uncovered so it can brown.

My family and I actually met Patti Labelle back in St Louis when I was a little girl. She was performing outside and afterwards came and talked to us for awhile. I was like 7-8 and was like who is this woman lol she was so nice and laid back. My family never did ask for autographs or anything but she definitely liked us. Anyway, this mac and cheese looks so freaking good, I'll to give it a try.
