I banged on Pauls motorhome door at the Keystone nationals in 1986. I told him I wanted to build a Pro Stock bike and he told me to come back in 2 hours. I was 16. I still have my FBG puppet chassis from back in the day. I have always respected that Paul never looked down on me and was always honest. I have nothing but great memories doing dyno runs and hole shots in the parking lot in Grand Rapids. Love you Paul, Paul JR, and Kevin (now lectron).. Thanks for being awesome all of you. I miss cooking hamburgers in the pits for you guys. I know exactly how much clutch freeplay Paul loves to this day! Thanks for memories I will never forget Paul!
Hello Mr. Gast, Charlie Smith here in Jarrettsville Maryland. I rebuild the triple crankshafts . I just watched your RU-vid video that you recently made. Every minute of it was a joy to watch. Excellent job! Take care and thanks for what you do!
Enjoyed this. Paul Gast started at Niagara Dragstrip. Niagara closed in 1974. Some of us Niagara drag racers / fans currently meet up once a month for breakfast. We have had Paul Gast attend one of our breakfasts.
He mentioned that. Really cool piece of local history. I'm only a few minutes away across the Peace Bridge in Canada. I would love to come see what's left of the original strip
