PG has one of the most beautiful play styles, and I loved watching him growing up. I still love him, but let's be honest with ourselves: he doesn't move the needle for anyone in 2024.
Paul George literally said he spent a good amount of time watching stephen A. smith film to make his podcast better instead of getting better on that court
@@michaelmayers3622 First of all, NYK was battered too, partially because of Embiid (hello Mitchell Robinson), so don’t even start with the injury stuff. It wouldn’t even help his case because he routinely cannot be relied upon in big moments, whether it’s due to his fragility or him stinking it up. Secondly, what’s the excuse for every other year then? Last year game 7 second round. 5-18 FG, 15 points.
I just remember after Him & Kawhi Gave up that 3-1 in the bubble to the Nuggets, I thought "Well this is the best chance they had to have both of their stars healthy for a playoff run." & Ever since it's played out that way 😂
I hold Mr. George in the highest esteem and when not injured, and on target he is truly a formidable, phenomenal talent. However, Commission is once again right, the Strippers couldn't afford the price of over-the-hill superstars and should not have increased Leonard's salary. For certain, they cannot now afford to increase the salaries of both Leonard and Geoge. Although they are still great, they - along with the farcical man-boy-king- are no longer the cream of the crop and don't truly deserve the super-duper salaries! I mean, how can you be upset at making $44 million a year. Hell the NBA salaries are greater thant the GDP of half the world' s countries!
Deadass. This dude always talks about how he values loyalty and wants to win one for the hometown team, then hops to whoever is willing to pay him more than his play is worth.
But let’s be honest …Paul George was actually the one keeping the clippers a float….k.leonard actually finesse them at least pg13 actually could win if he didn’t play with bums
After the injury he was never the same. The Paul George I saw in the 2014 playoffs had the potential to be the best player in the league. But that horrible injury he had derailed all that
People liking this are either very young or have amnesia. Pre-ACL tear PG13 was terrifying. Went head to head with LeBron and only barely came out worse. That plus his shoulder injuries have been really disappointing.
They go through the Paul George summer role call every 3-4 years & the results are all the same. Dude talking about he not trying to win a championship ☠️🤣
Like it or not Paul George is the biggest free agent this year. I think 76ers is good. Even though Embiid was injured at least he still played and had numbers. It’s safe to say he’s better than Tobias Harris. OKC, maybe back to Indiana, I think Paul George will get his money wherever he ends up and the team will improve with him on it
If Paul George isn’t helping the Clippers win more game, then how the heck did the Los Angeles Clippers even managed to comeback from that 26-point deficit against the Cleveland Cavaliers thanks to his game-winner and he also prevented Evan Mobley from sending it to overtime on April 7th?! Cleveland had a chance to beat a Clippers team without Kawhi Leonard, but JB Bickerstaff messed it up! He was the absolute worst when it came to the 2nd half of Cavaliers games, and that’s why Cleveland fired him after they lost to the Celtics in the 2nd Round!
In 2020, I said that PG would be a great 3rd option on a championship team. It was obvious back then. So, I can't understand why it hasn't been obvious to the Clippers' front office. They should have traded him years ago when they might have been able to get something for him.
dude I ABSOLUTELY HATED when kawhi declared for the olympics when himself was not ready to play in the first round. WTF ARE YOU DOING IN THE OLYMPICS WHEN YOU HAVENT BEEN HEALTHY FOR A PLAYOFF RUN SINCE COVID??! go home and figure out how to get to the second round first then worry about the olympics never cuz winning a chip should the first priority. if your health is always in question, why why why why play more highly competitive basketball? if im the other countries, im targeting that man and getting him back on the bench all serious faced 🤖 everybody clowning anthony davis for being street clothes, this fool kawhi is street clothes now.
Everyone forgets PG is the third option for the Sixers. Is he overpaid… Yes! But is he better than Tobias Harris… Absolutely! And as a Team the Sixers look scary with Embiid, Maxey, PG and good roleplayers like Kelly Oubre, Caleb Martin, Eric Gordon, Andre Drummond.
I love PG, seems like a chill dude. But he’s just cashing checks and gives zero F’s about winning. Of course he’s not as uncommitted as Kawhi, who will sit out for a hang nail, but he’s still very comfortable cashing checks on the bench and watching his team lose. Him and Kawhi together was the dumbest move in history! They had a blast watching that franchise implode. As an OKC fan. Trading us SGA, Danilo Galinari and 6 first round picks, is the worst trade in NBA history. Clippers traded SGA, 1st team all pro, for an aging ex-superstar. They have the worst front office in pro sports and it’s not all that close.
Man, I know this has zero to do with Paul Snorege and how he's been washed since he left Indiana when he was forced to care and be good, but at 2:23 where The System carries the ball, almost travels, and then in the next clip where he basically travels again on the three, is bonkers. How is someone like this, who has zero fundamentals, a star? Why are all the 'best' players some of the least skilled and discipline goofs to ever exist in the game? I'm not excusing how not anything PG is, but if the dudes I was playing with constantly couldn't even count to two or three properly or consistently enough, I sure as heck wouldn't put my best out there. I mean, my boys aren't, so why should I if I still get the bag? Naturally, that attitude and his the amount of time he keeps dumping into his 2/10 podcast is exactly why the Clippers should ship him and all their 'stars' off to various forgotten nowheres like Atlanta or Portland (sorry Blazers). These guys don't care about roundball anymore, which is fine, but if I stop caring about my job, I'm probably going to make mistakes, and those might not get caught, and unlike an entertainment job, if I screw up and it doesn't get found, there's a decent chance someone gets, at best, hurt or, at worst, got. Thus, if I don't care anymore about what I do, I'm going to sail off into the sunset, which is what you're supposed to do. Find something else; they clearly have plenty, and basketball ain't it, and let those who want to hoop actually hoop.
Maxey would be the second best player on the Sixers but they aren’t winning with Embid injured. If the Bucks could get him without losing assets but that’s not happening anyways.
He ain't gonna find the "right kind of basketball" with the Embiid show over there in Phili. Although he does fit Phili's 2nd round exit style of playoff basketball.
PG13% has proven in his time with the Clippers that he isn't a superstar. And he's the one the Clippers traded a king's ransom for, letting the Thunder start their rebuild that is now giving them success. Edit: Just checked and realized that SGA was apart of that PG trade. Talk about a massive mistake.
The real truth about PG is that injury he had back in Indiana was too bad to recover from. He almost never underperformed in Indiana. He's not explosive anymore, so now he has to rely on contested jump shots. It's really not his fault, it's really just bad luck.
PG to new york actually is a better fit and makes more since than going to the 76ers. And I'm a heat fan, I can't stand NY but better with jalen than Joel
PG wants to be option 1 or 2 at the least. Since Harden joined, hes instantly became option 3. He has not performed well as option 3 compared to how he did when he was op 1 and 2. Thats the "style" of basketball he is talking about. Fact remains, the Kawhi and PG thing isnt working out. I like the duo alot but they arent working out.
Knicks got mikal bridges i’d much rather overpay for a 26 yr old infirmary in OG than a 34 yr old pandemicP in paul George we already have Julius Randle disappearing in the playoffs we don’t need an older version of that who shoots the three point shot better
funny your right on philly is going to melt down like chernoyble watch. Its all about the foundation of the team and building a team the right way like OKC, Dallas, Boston oralnado Denver ect
Great player but the problem is he's unlucky to be a part of the team that his co-star isn't about winning Let's forget about the Pacers stint but Russ and Melo!? Kawhi that doesn't even play especially in the playoffs!? If he goes to Philly he will never win a title let alone a finals appearance he would just get blamed by Joel Embiid even though even have a terrible games
Paul George is a manufactured superstar, low key even more manufactured than LeBron. He was never anywhere near the level of player that the media tried to hype him up as. And now, on top of all of that, he's old. Honestly bro should just be honest with himself and take up podcasting full time already.
Think the media just means that PG is the biggest blockbuster free agent this off season. Last year was Damian lilard. Now whether you agree or disagree that Paul George will improve a team is another question but it’s undeniable that Paul George is the biggest free agent this off-season. Is he worth the money I don’t think so, But regardless he is the biggest free agent this off-season
I'd just like to see him back in Indiana helping out Halibutton and Saka. Or the dude with the ring. He don't need to do much playmaking, or defense. And people there love him
I agree with the 3rd option talk. Why I think teams who need to go for it and need a 3rd option should try to get in the running because his game fits well as a 3rd banana attacking weaker defenders and getting way more open shots, and with less pressure it could be a positive to his production (who knows though). Quite a few teams could use that 3rd guy who defends and occasionally heats up. Or maybe its the idea/concept of paul george is better than the actual value of paul george. Hell if I know.
The sixers need to just blow it up and start over. You have an aging star who at best can give you 40 regular games and 1 1/2 playoff series before his bones shatter. Got a fair weather bench , Tobias Harris and wasting the talent of maxey.
PG been sorry since he left Indiana. The amount of times he's let down Doc Rivers and the Clippers when it matters most. Don't even get me started on Kawhi though...
I mean as much I think PG is overrated if Kawaii got what he got there’s ZERO reason PG should Of gotten anything less. Kawaii shouldn’t even be in the league for anything more than a vet minimum as many games as he misses. This dude missed 55% of total games in his 4 or 5 years in LA so far that’s INSANE
PG is old enough he should want to win a chip, and he ain't gonna do it by pairing up with choking crying hurting Embiid. He could go perhaps to OKC, or Dallas.
If he's not "chasing a title", then a good challenge will be trying to get the Pistons into playoff contention. Right? Pg to Pistons. And if he doesn't play, he can also chase up the coaching role. I've heard that there might be a spot free... 😂
All Paul George has to do is be better and more consistent than Tobias Harris and the Sixers will go as far as Embiid's body allows them. When Embiid is healthy, he is arguably the best player on the planet. I know everyone likes to lol the sixers and embiid but he deserves at least one healthy playoff run because he is a beast
