Not sure why the negative comments about Leno. I'm an Aussie and I came across him in the hills around Malibu (or thereabouts) many years ago whilst riding my motorcycle there. Jay was in one of his many old collectable cars at the same place. We were on the side of the road at a cafe and we had a great conversation about bikes and cars. He was a very nice fella and was generous with his time. I have a photo with him.
That story about the storms and filming and the wind and then TWISTER KNOCKED US OUT OF THE BOX OFFICE!! Just genius!! GAWD I miss watching his old show on TV back in the day, love ya Hoges!
The kids today have no idea what it was like to grow up in the 80s. We had some really great movies that came out and that still stand today as the greatest of all time. Rumor has it, had Val Kilmer stared in Mavericks place and Tom Cruise was Ice Man, Top Gun wouodve won an Oscar that year for best film. But on Paul Hogan, he wrote and stared in the movie Crocodile Dundee. What luck is it to have 2 great movies to come out and pretty much finish 2nd both times. Flipper and Twister and Crocodile Dundee with Top Gun. All of these movies were great and the 2 of my favorite Paul Hogan movies arent mentioned. 1. Almost an Angel 2. Lightning Jack Flash If you want to sit down and watch a great movie thats truly funny. Please give Lightning Jack Flash a chance. Cuba Gooding Jr. plays an awesome role in this movie that will have you tearing up from laughing. Well, it had me tearing up...... Its a great movie and i dont know how it wasnt a blockbuster!!!! Almost an Angel, I truly dont know what to say about it. Its funny, its true to some points and its a little sad. I really loved this movie and I wore that VHS tape out of it. My mom was sick and tired of me quoting lines from it at her. Lol. I wish you all well and i hope my son doesnt hate me to much for commenting under his account. Lol. True stuff. When we lose Paul, Hollywood and all of Australia would have lost a great man. I know his movies will live on.

Years doing the Paul Hogan Show (early sketch comedy) after being discovered on Bert Newton’s Red Faces (talent show) that he went on after his rigger mates dared him too. He’s done about 20 in total. Funniest was with Micheal Caton pretending to be a gay couple in country NSW to get on a pension for marginalised couples, all while keeping it a secret from the nosy townsfolk. Government inspector comes & tries to catch them in a lie. Unfortunately I can’t remember the name of it. I’ll check... edit: Strange Bedfellows (LOL!)🤣
