It was certainly a phase that games went through. The Dark Wheel was phenomenal for a novella.

You have now sparked another quest for me. I want Tim Gilberts "The Quill" adventure writing software, which came out a couple of years earlier. I never had a chance to play with PAWS and really should put that right. I'll keep an eye out for you Roy

Thanks Lee. I used to write a LOT of adventrues in my teens using the Quill & PAW. Wasn't a great childhood TBH, so I spent a LOT of my time alone in my room trying to be creative in whatever way I could. When my mum passed away during covid, I went over the house hoping to find my old cassettes, but sadly they were lost to time. Would love to be able to have that nostaglic feeling you just did by getting my hands on it :)

Going to explore the game stores at the weekend was a lovely childhood ritual. And one I still miss today. And as @TheErador said, the game was Legend.
