This guys work ethic is off the charts. He has extraordinary talent but he has always worked extremely hard. Here is in his 80’s and still going. He will be a towering figure in musical history for a long time after many others are forgotten.
You can hear him struggling some, but hey hes 81. Its a miracle he still has a voice. Definitely got his money's worth from those vocal cords. What an amazing career and icon. I wish could clone him!! Lol!
As I recall after Paul played this song, he told us about the time he met Frank Sinatra and asked him what is your favourite Lennon/ McCartney song. And then he told us that Frank Sinatra replied “Something” That’s funny that, that song was actually written by just George Harrison. Great tribute to George.
Reportedly, not only did Frank say that to Paul, but he often said on occasion that "Something" was one of the most beautiful songs EVER written. And when it came to picking a good song, 'ol Blue Eyes knew what he was talking about.
@@helendropinski3754 Fair enough, Helen. Nothing can beat George singing 'Something' , though. It was very moving to see on the BBC last night the video from 1969 of the song with the lads with their wives. Patti looked stunning. The 65 minute programme, 'BBC & the Beatles' finished the night with their swansong 'Now and then', just released with John nicely introduced by Paul's words 'One, two'. The end of an era.
@@henryfitch8710 The Beatles have been my favorite band since I was 10yo. Listened to the official " Now and Then" video yesterday. I cried my eyes out, even my husbands eyes teared up. I loved them soooo much.
