"Revere" rests at Morris Hill Cemetery, with the most outstanding headstone. He's near my son, Sam, so I got to visit him too! 2nd cousins are family. I expect heaven is rocking!
Paul was an incredibly fun, positive and upbeat entertainer with boundless energy ! Would always go see the Band anytime I could, Reno, Vegas or Seattle area. He is an example for everyone to live by, l always try to be like him. My absolute Favorite Band and music of all Time!!! Tacoma Bill
And Paul Revere played rock and roll piano, too. Had no idea that he was a terrific showman. I never saw him and the Raiders live in concert. He would have made an excellent comic. Two of the Raiders, Mark Lindsay and Freddy Weller, enjoyed their respective successful careers. Freddy Weller sang country music. There you have it.
I had the privilege of seeing their act back in the late 70s at a club in Vancouver, BC, Canada. They are not only very talented, but their act was amazing...not to mention incredibly funny.
Great Band with so many great hits. 😀 Saw them live in Edmonton in a small venue. What a super performance! Rest in peace Paul. Thanks for all the great music.
Paul Revere and Mark Lindsay used to host no less than THREE ABC-TV shows, “Happening ‘’67”, “Happening ‘68”, and “It’s Happening”, all made by Dick Clark Productions. The Raiders were there, of course. The shows had a number of segments about hip, hap’nin things. Sometimes they taped at ABC Studios in Hollywood, and the rest of the time at the former “Hollywood Palace” studio on North Vine Street, also in Hollywood. That building is now the home of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences… you know, the people who give out The Oscars once a year! Both “Uncle Paul” and Mark were great guys, and they’d hang out in the audience between shows. They did three or four shows on a taping day, and I used to go to them. They were a BLAST!
