This is an excerpt from my podcast with Rev Jamie (#11). Another incredible story I got to hear since starting my podcast. I'm having way too much fun doing these. Thanks for listening.
I saw pantera in biloxi ms on the reinventing the steel tour there last tour and was blessed to see damageplan in Jackson Mississippi last minute thing got off work late but my friend insisted the promotor was rock 93.9 tickets were 93 cents I stood rite in front of dime while he was playing and he put not tossed a damageplan pick in my hand my most valuable possession because that was April 15 he got murdered December 8th same year and think I started to back out the best decision of my life I have that pick inside a plastic make shift shrine I guess you could say anyway I thank god everyday I didn't pass on that opportunity
Seen Pantera 3 times the best GOD DAMN BAND to ever dawn a stage. Breaking Norse’s and cheekbones in the pit when I was younger. I wouldn’t survive a pit now at my age. Miss Pantera really miss DIME and VINNY!!!
hes my idol ever since i started playing guitar i wish i was born earlier so i could’ve possibly met or seen him live i want to be just like him soon ima be getting the dean from hell
Can you make a video about relative pentatonic scales and explain more about it ? My porblem is i dont know how to play the relative scale on all the shapes if it is possible.
hi, pantera fan here, but just think for a second: why asking a stranger to drive his car into the river and repay it just for the sake of doing it and buying guitars to smash etc... I think he was desperately trying to have some fun where he realized he couldn't have any. like he just couldn't enjoy "the simple things of life" anymore. like everything got boring. just my thought, not critique - loved pantera and still sorry for his tragic end.
Darrell had fun everywhere, even trying to give away donuts...the condition you describe is easily defined...it's called adulting, and goddammit it SUCKS...
