When I was a 14 year old boy my mother woke me up in the middle of the night to show me the news covering the fall of the Berlin Wall. I was so annoyed at the time, but. Ow I’m so thankful she did. My parents generation were acutely aware of the significance even if I wasn’t at the time. So cool. 😊
One time someone tried to sell an ejection seat and Rick said “nobody is going to want to buy this”, despite a tonne of fighter pilots living in Las Vegas.
I don’t think I’d say we were “friends” with the Soviet union during WWII….more like a necessary alliance. “The enemy of my enemy is my friend” kinda joint.
@@bob733333 No Putin doesn't have any control over Biden... now if Trump wins than that is a horse of a different color. Or did you mean back then? Because, no No NO. If you believe that then you probably weren't alive in the 80s
Rick: I have many friends who would love this piece of history. Rick to the customer: I don't know what I will do with this. I'm crazy, even buying it.
@@paulnicholson5997 no they aren’t. The item was paid for by a PA employeed by the history channel way before the expert shows up because the entire show is just an excuse to talk about neat stuff. The expert’s opinion has literally zero effect of the sale price.
@UpperDarbyDetailing Right, people still think there is actually legitimate haggling about a price on this show? Or course its "fake" but that's not the point, they got cool shxt on the show and you might learn and forget a thing or two.
If memory serves that sign was at Rudolphstien, the border crossing between west and east Germany on the American Corridor to Berlin, Known as Checkpoint Alpha.
She says anyone would want a part of a missile it's part of history ...And how cool it is lol😂😂 but yet she is there trying to sell it, lol😂😂😂I love this show. Cheers.
If you google a bit you see the sidewinder head in terrible condition (this looks to be pristine) going for $950, up to $4500 for the entire missle (poor condition)_.
MAN THAT UNIFORMS ARE A ORIGINAL PIECE OF HISTORY!!! IN ROMANIA ONE OF THAT IS SELLING ONLY WITH 2000 EURO BUT NOTH LOWER THAN 2000 AND IN 10 YEARS THE VALUE WILL BE MORE HIGHER!
It's comments like this make me wish RU-vid never had a comment section. You are in the comments section, try adding something of value if you will. Don't just yell USA
@@boyygin75 We found the democrat. USA is an abbreviation for Unites States of America. Saying USA is no different than saying UK (United Kingdom) or NSW (New-South Wales. Was that useful enough for you?
The Navy pilot said “shooting 50mm, or 20 cal”. I think his Gyro is a little out of calibration. I’m sure what he meant was .50 cal, or 20mm sized rounds. His thought was inverted. 😁
you know this show in arranged when a guy that owns a bar says that such a western germany sign does not go well in his bar .. which is a discussion starter
Not exactly. It's hilarious what sellers think their items are worth, I never bought it for a second. Even if you could prove it was owned by Vladimir Putin.
That is a very early model of the guidance system for the Aim 9. Later models have a much smaller dome in the front and were more pointy. Saw some of the older ones work on the newer one.
What are these people thinking? If they want what they think is a fair price then you don’t go to a pawn shop. Pawn shops are in the market to make money not a private collector where you pay that type of money
Unless it was Yuri Andropov's uniform (or some other named person or significance), I can't see any reasonable person paying big money for a Soviet uniform that was produced en masse.
