I have the original reed basket baby Moses used when he floated in the river. Rick: You have any paperwork? Reed basket market is really slow these days and I'm taking all the chances here. Let me get my 'reed basket' expert in here so we can determine the real value. My expert says this is priceless, best I can give you is 100 bucks and a Circus Circus buffet gift card. Now that's a legit deal.
Amazing that one fellow came in with those lithographs wanting $35K but did not have them in a protective valise or case to protect them when walking around with them.
My friends late father went to Schenley with Andy Warhol, my friends father used to tell us that he was just as eccentric then as he was till the day he passed.
I appreciate Rick he never takes advantage of the ignorant , he gives a fair price ,the woman with the faberge spider wanted 2 k and he gave her 15 , the woman. with the sword wanted 5k he gave her six , such things would never happen in India !! Here the marwari / gukatart business men, who usually run the pawn shops would low ball u and rip u off !! and even rob u of all u have ! Shameful to admit but Indians are the most selfish business men in the world !😔
The cluelessness of people who think they deserve more money when they're not dealing directly to a seller or collector, but actually dealing to a middleman, really blows my mind. Selling is always harder than buying. Stop acting like your amateur price is the one that needs to be stuck to.
Unfortunately for you I doubt you have an item worth being on the show for. It's so annoying when people are like If I were there I wouldn't do this or I wouldn't do that.
A huge factor in the Eschers is they are lithographs, which are multiple originals because each print is inked by hand and therefore some variation exists. The value varies a LOT depending on how many prints were pulled. Artists typically do proofs as we develop the plate or stone the print is pulled from, then we print a limited number edition, which are signed and numbered. Once the edition is run, the plate or stone should be defaced and another print run, showing the image with a big, ugly 'X' through it or something. That lets any collector know that no more prints were ever made. Otherwise, someone could run off a bunch of prints without the artist's permission, in effect stealing from the artist and cheating anyone the print was sold to. There should be a higher value on prints the artist made, with the artists' hands inking the plate or stone, because that is where the variation occurs. I have never liked it when artists got others to pull their prints.
"$1.25" to see Buddy Holy & The Crickets, Dion & The Belmonts, Big Bopper, (AND) Richie Valens/ in the winter/ in Iowa/ just to "dance"!?!?.... "I'll give you .25¢ for the highschool poster"~Rick
Rick could have purchased a copy of the same Disney edition with a fine dust jacket for about $20 and fixed the main condition problem. This might have boosted the value in the eyes of the book appraiser and in the eyes of the potential customer.
Well, like everything they're only worth what someone is willing to pay for them. Old stuff isn't automatically worth a lot of money; it's only worth a lot of money if someone is willing to hand over a lot of money for it.
No the poster is not real. Buddy Holly and the Crickets broke up in Oct 1958. They were going to get back together AFTER the tour but at this time they were not together. Yet the poster say's Buddy Holly and the Crickets.
To correct the factoid 28:43 not about 3 billion, its 3.8 billion for a fossil to leave a chemical signature of life (M. Vogt et al., 2023 but referencing Schidlowski 1988).
Your videos were great!! I'm one of your viewers and have been watching your videos lately. I would like to invest, but I still can't find the right investment to commit to. I will appreciate any help here.
I always wanted to trade crypto for a long time but the volatility in the price has been very confusing to me although I have watched many RU-vid videos about it but still find it difficult to understand.
It makes sense that BTC and crypto are of helping to regulate, rather than pretend it won't ever happen. The big institutions getting In is the catalyst that will laugh us made they grow used to it becomes a nonissue usually because of their fears never materialize. And benefits they were unaware of before turn out to be more beneficial
I've been in touch with a financial advisor ever since I got into the market. Knowing today's culture The challenge is knowing when to purchase or sell when investing in trending Crypto, which is pretty simple. On my portfolio, which has grown over overboard and been making about $1 500 bi-weekly, What I'm trying to say is the 5% of traders in the world that are consistently profitable are very reserved, they are just random/lowkey people no one even expects. My account manager chooses entry and exit orders
18:43 It’s someone close to her that is always there. That person is either employed by government or paid by government…whether through contractors or direct. Could even be her family.
30:40 It's surely long gone now, but i would have given him like 75 bucks for that green James Douglas Morrison poster on the wall... (from The Doors, imagine if Jim was still alive today).
I recommend to anyone looking to sell your valuable items first never go to a pawn shop to sell something because you will never ever receive a fair offer. Second do some research so you will know what you have when trying to sell it and never trust a so-called expirt the buyer brings in because that so-called expert will tell you what the buyer wants them to tell you. I've seen so many so-called experts on this show giving out completely false information. I know a couple of these so-called experts have been exposed as frauds.
@@KeytonsChanneldon't even pay attention to the original commenter. You got to remember 99% of the people commenting here don't know anything about this stuff and just assume.
No, the commissions at auctions are NOT 50%, what a hustler move by Rick. They're normally 20%, some may go as high as 30%, but only a few, and that doesn't make them the most exclusive ones.
