@@StarchieHalo You know that this is a side job gun right? A newb doesn't even knows what this is, when he finally get the things he needs to unlock it he would be good in the game already.
This thing rewards you for good markmanship. In real life this thing punishes weak people who can't hold on during reloading. ( two words: garand thumb)
@@blackjacklastshack6111 "if i had to conquer hell, i would use aussies to take it and kiwies to hold it" -erwin rommel. Don't talk shite about the mates lad!
The rifle grenade spigot actually has a built in gas cutoff. So any time you've got the Grenade spigot on, the rifle functions like a straight-pull bolt action
That moment when you realized "why does people use Lock n' load , Isn't 8 rounds enough to kill enemies?! " (Says the guy who used to play a ton of WW2 Games , ex : Heroes and Generals) I guess i mastered the M1 garand :P
The people who use it on OD? It is a 2 hit headshot unless you get a critical hit. I prefer to use the Grom sniper rifle, with silencer skills you can make it a 1 hit headshots on OD for normal and heave zeal team enemies and shields. I think that you can one hit medics with a critical hit, but I am not sure.
Nice watch as always and it's good to see you making these videos again. I myself prefer to use the Garand in it's stock configuration (the ammo pounches are useful though) for a more aesthetically pleasing look. Also on an unrelated note, don't you just wish they would fix the reload animation of the Mosin-Nagant (among other mistakes with WWII weapons featured in the game)?
Is there anyway to unlock it bow after the event because i really want it and it doesnt seem that you could only get that mission and weapon during a small amount of time
0:40 "...beeing essentialy the only s.i. semi-auto rifle..." Wtf are you talking about? The first successful design for a semi-automatic rifle is attributed to German-born gunsmith Ferdinand Ritter von Mannlicher, who unveiled the design in 1885. The Model 85 was followed by the equally innovative Mannlicher Models 91, 93 and 95 semi-automatic rifles In 1903 and 1905, the Winchester Repeating Arms Company introduced the first semi-automatic rimfire and centerfire rifles. It was a simple blow-back system made for civilians. And the Mondragón rifle was the first semi-auto rifle used to replace bolt-actions in the army. That was around the year 1907. (Mexican Army and German Military) The M1 Grand came into service like ~1936. So it was neither the first, nor the "most innovativ" semi-auto rifle to replace bolt-actions in any major army.
You end your sentences by dropping pitch slightly, then raising it the same amount you dropped it in the first place, finally returning to the pitch that you say the rest of your sentence in
I hope this on the console edition because I'm sick of using the Thantos .50 Cal against bulldozers. It's slow, heavy, and overall not practical unless you need something that can take out heavy targets within 1 - 2 shots to the head. I would prefer M1 Garand/Galant Rifle over the Thantos. At least I can kill bulldozers more easily and faster with this at the cost of more expended ammunition.
Messed up with the stripper clip part but at least you didn't claim it to be fully automatic like you did in the Aldstone pack video, Still loved the video though and after I found out I could give it 23 rounds I love using it to destroy dozers especially with Swan Song.
If you only look at concealment. The Cavity has lower total ammo, raise/drop time, accuracy, stability, reload speed, DLC requirement, and attachment options than the Galant. Really, the only advantage a Cavity has over a Galant is how it's a 32 concealment primary that isn't hot garbage at higher difficulties, and the Galant can only reach a (still very respectable) 26.
Just a quick note. The first M14 was just a garand with a non detachable magazine. You would've loaded similar to Kar98k rifles via stripper clips. Like the civilian M14 the M1A.
M4sked You're thinking of Vietnam, not Korea. The Garand was in used in Korea, and even in Vietnam, in smaller amounts by rear echelon troops and the South Vietnamese Army.
I have 2 problem with this vid:1. You said stripper clip not the en bloc clip and 2. Fun fact other countries used semi auto rifles a schoker aint it Everything else is fine
oh lord... one rifle dared to stand out... yes let's ignore the fact that it was 1 of 10 designs submitted for the trials of the US military ordinance corps, also never mind the fact that across the world powerful nations were equipping their soldiers with semi-automatic rifles well before the advent of the M1, France even going so far as to adopt 3 of them just during WWI, and the British testing 6 different designs in the 20's... Also yes the cringe of the "stripper clip... i lolled so long to that. Great vid! Little bit of fun fact for the few of us left who are members of the Church of Garand, the M1 originally wasn't even chambered in 30-06. It was first chambered as a prototype in the .276 Pedersen cartridge and the only reason it ever got it's 30-06 chambering was because the US army had huge stockpiles of .30-06 M1 ball ammo. Which was brought up during the field trials by General MacArthur.
No other nation had a semi automatic weapon that checked all the boxes the M1 did in mass production during the advent of WW2. I see the Gewher 43 thrown around a lot as a comparable rifle, however having fired both an M1 and a G43, the G43 had quite a few malfunctions despite only putting a few rounds through it, especially compared to the M1.
so there existed no SVT 40, ZH-29, Ag42, AVS 39. The Fucile Automatique Model 39 was not a thing, and neither was the 1917. Let's just completely forget that the M1 Garand had a competitor in it's own ranks, the 1941 Johnson. Japans Type 4 wasn't a thing...
All I'm gonna say is thank you Forgotten Weapons! XD Check em out, I know it's bs to plug someone elses channel when you're doing such an epic fucking Job Richard, but still, hope you don't get pissed. Love your vids bud, can't wait for the next one.
Man, everyone in this comment section is a weapons expert. You guys are annoying as fuck. Also, you pronounce garand wrong. It's "gairand", not "guhrand", because it's named after the maker, john garand.
