how does it work?

If you link your PayMaya account to your PayPal, your Paymaya balance will serve as a funding source if you don't have any Paypal balance. So if you'll buy online using Paypal, even if you don't have Paypal balance as long as you have Paymaya funds, you can still continue with the purchase as long as the balance is sufficient.

There's no problem linking the Mastercard to your Paypal account, the only problem is, you can't withdraw from Paypal to your Mastercard because withdrawal from Paypal to Paymaya is only through a VISA branded card.

First thing, be sure that when connecting your Paypal to Paymaya that you have at least 100 pesos in your Paymaya account.

You can use either of the two, but I recommend you use the Visa branded card

Please use a VISA card so you can also use it to withdraw funds from Paypal to Paymaya.

Yes, you can still link. But if you plan to use it for withdrawal of your PayPal funds, be sure to link only a PayMaya Visa card. MasterCard can still be linked however, you won't be able to withdraw to MasterCard.

Go to your account settings and bank account/cards and see the status of the card you added so you can verify if there's any other step you need to make.

Yes, you need at least 100 pesos so you can proceed with the linking and confirmation.

If you link your PayMaya with Paypal, you can use Paypal to purchase online and use your PayMaya as a backup funding source. If what you are buying is in US dollar, the fund from your PayMaya account will be automatically converted during the purchase using the prevailing exchange rate for the day. Although I don't think you can use PayPal in Amazon, you can use it for eBay.

Create a Philippine based PayPal account then link your MetroBank account (not MasterCard) or VISA card

You don't really need to link both, but if you're planning to withdraw funds from your Paypal to your PayMaya account, be sure that what you link is the VISA branded card (can be virtual or physical) Each time you link a card, you need to have at least 100 pesos in your PayMaya account.

ANSWER: Mastercard and Visa are credit card companies. You can identify them easily as both show their logos on the cards they provide you. Your online Payment Card should also have a logo that identifies it whether as VISA or Mastercard. 2. Is it okay to use my Online PayMaya Card for linking? Or only the Physical PayMaya Visa Card is applicable? ANSWER: Yes it's okay, you can use either of the two. 3. if I link my Physical PayMaya Visa Card, will my Online PayMaya Card be linked too? ANSWER: No. The two cards have different card details so enrolling one doesn't automatically enroll the other. 4. If my Physical PayMaya Visa Card has a 100php balance, does that mean that my Online PayMaya Card shared the same balance, or vice-versa? Because I've got a Physical and Online PayMaya Card linked to my one PayMaya Account. ANSWER: Yes, the physical and virtual card share the same PayMaya balance. 5. Can I also use this linking method (putting value from PayMaya to PayPal) so that I can buy stuff online? Like Amazon or J-List? ANSWER: Yes.

You can choose to pay it directly using the PayMaya card or you can also choose PayPal. If you have already linked your Paypal to your Paymaya and the Paypal account doesn't have enough funds for your purchase, you can just choose your PayMaya card as a funding source. So basically, you're using PayMaya indirectly.

Hi Kym Cainday, In terms of Paypal-Paymay linking, this simply means that whatever amount you have in Paymaya, may be used to fund purchases you're going to make using your Paypal account. It's a funding source, so if you don't have credits on your Paypal acccount, you can draw from your Paymaya account. I hope that helps.

If what you are expecting to see is your PayMaya money showing up on your Paypal balance, that's not going to happen.

However, if you have a debit card or credit card as an additional funding source, you have the option to choose PayMaya instead of the other cards. In addition, you can also make your PayMaya account as the default funding source so it automatically draws from your PayMaya account whenever you don't have enough Paypal balance.

If you select Mastercard - you can use it as a funding source only If you choose VISA - you can use it as a funding source plus, you can also use it to withdraw your funds from Paypal to your card.

Hi Michael, Mababawasan lang yung PayMaya balance mo kung kulang yung balance mo sa Paypal. So if ang bibilhin mo is $50 tapos ang laman ng Paypal mo is $25 lang, pwede mong gamitin yung pondo sa Paymaya account mo para punan yung kulang na $25.
