Peacemaker - Season 1 Finale Angry Review! 

That scene where Economos talks about his beard was surprisingly emotional. I am really impressed how they set up this running joke and turned it into such a poignant emotional moment for the character.

It makes no sense I'm more excited to see Peacemaker and Vigilante return, than I am to see new Batman or Superman. Such great writing and unique tone to contrast against cookie cutter films/shows from Hollywood in general.

Peacemaker was the rated R captain America I’ve always kinda wanted to see. Seeing him straight up decapitate guys with the shield was awesome

I can't believe my favourite DCEU project is Peacemaker; John Cena and Freddie Stroma (Vigilante) were awesome! The opening is unskippable.

An amazing finale. Hoping we can see Bloodsport in season 2. Their rivalry was hilarious.

The ending was depressing when he was sitting on the porch drinking his beer.

Thought this show would just be a good fun time, instead we got something filled with not only laughs, but so much more.

It's the only series where I never once skipped the intro. James Gunn seems to be one of those directors that likes to treat adults like adults, and it shows with his work in the DCEU, especially in Peacemaker. If WB made more shows like this, I would enjoy the DCEU more. What we sadly lack in these superhero universes, with the exception of Netflix which got it right with their take on the MCU stuff, are adult movies and television series. It seems like everyone forgets that comic books have been around forever, and the adults that watch this stuff were kids once who enjoyed it, and that not everything needs to be made for children. The Disney MCU is sadly lacking any adult content. Star Wars as much as I like it is about as kid friendly as you can get, and I wish we could get a show where cutting through someone with a light saber rips their guts out, and causes blood to fly everywhere. The MCU is able to produce these huge blockbuster mega movies and series that while well acted and packed with a lot of action and fun are sorely lacking in the content that adults crave in their viewing habits. I am an adult male, I like seeing naked women in my movies and shows, I like hearing F-Bombs, and I enjoy seeing a guy explode into a million pieces. Peacemaker was able to make me feel like a kid at the same time fulfilling my desire for content as an adult. I want more of it. I want it from DC, and I want it from the MCU as well. I miss those Netflix shows, I miss Punisher and Daredevil and Jessica Jones. Hopefully James Gunn is given the reins to do some interesting stuff over at DC.

The fight scene was genuinely one of the most well-directed hand-to-hand fight scenes up there with the Kingsman Church scene and John Wick. I'd say the environment was the most boring part, being an open field. But the creativity in the choreography mostly made up for it, crazy.

I am just happy the show is about to get darker, hopefully. Introducing an actual emotional interest in Hartcourt while also introducing the one thing in the comic that actually drove him insane; his Dad's ghost attached to the helmet. So stoked and cant wait to see the Season 2 trailer!

I absolutely love this series. Humor, violence, character arches, story, twists. No needless CGI. I can't wait for more.

Vigilante was so great, bit like Villanelle in being this psychopathic asshole murderer that you can't help but like and root for from this side of the screen And dude was such a warrior even after getting shot, went down with a blind trickshot kill

Only thing that would make finale even better is if they put mustache on Superman and Peacemaker telling him ''Nice mustache asshole''

Having Melissa on is great. Kinda making it like the Girlfriend Review channel where you get the perspective from a non-gamer or non-comic fan.

The Justice League showing up was the cherry on top

The Gross Negligence shown by Superman and possibly Martian Manhunter on the number of "butterflies" that were present on the planet Earth astounds me

It's the best show on TV and blows everything marvel has tried to do, tv series wise.

Everything came full circle... even ending in the hospital where he starts peacemaker and ends in suicide squad... Top 5 show of all time for me, even though just the one season so far!

Vigilante was by far the best character in the show. I hope he gets his own spin off

Vigilante showing that he cared about the group by being worried about Economos health. He was fearfully to lose his friend to them at first but became essential in a team and plan. Loved that.

Peacemaker was a great surprise, a well needed breath of fresh air in the dceu

This is the the show that "no one asked" but everyone loved. DCEU about to set it's foundation to be a great franchise. It's slowly but surely progress and I can't for the future of this universe!

The ants vs fish conversation is probably one of my favorite things from the series haha

Although out of topic, always love seeing band t-shirts (I immediately recognize) from Joe's girlfriend, and Joe seems to be wearing them more often lately.

Did not expect this show to be as good as it was. Probably the best superhero live action TV Show right up there with The Boys

This show was absolutely incredible and that includes the writing. Idk how you can’t see the switching of tones as masterfully as Gunn does as NOT good writing 🤯🤷🏻‍♂️

I feel like the season as a whole is like a 9/10 but finale was only like a 6 or 7. Really fun show that I didn't think I was going to like.

I couldn't believe Snyder cultists were mad at the cameo and at the show without having watched the show. The show was a huge surprise and so emotional, greatly acted, greatly directed, best theme song in existence. Just a great show.

Peacemaker is a textbook example of how to do edgy superhero shows the right way. Nothing about it seemed like it was trying too hard to be startling. Contrast this to Titans, where they try everything in their power to make PG characters appear as if they are adult, and it just comes across as cheesy.

I really liked the show and I was excited to see the new episode every week, the only thing that I thing was too much was what I call the "having a whole argument about an unimportant little thing" joke. Too many of those. Those jokes were funny 15 years ago when it was the "new trope" in apatow movies and the actors had a fun improv moment. Then everybody started doing it and it got old real fast. "It's funny because they're bantering in a serious situation!". Yeah, ok, have a couple of those. This show had a couple of those... IN EVERY SCENE.

I think this series nearly single-handedly saved the DCEU. The character development, plotline, in-story tension, everything was detailed very well. EDIT: Also, why is nobody mentioning the fact that Murn is legit the male version of Amanda Waller, looks, speech, mannerisms, but better because he shows concern AND patience with the team he was given.

The fact that James Gunns DC outings have been some of the best dc content makes me so exited for James Gunn running DC Studios. He understands the characters so well. With Henry Cavill back and hopefully Ben Affleck too i’m so exited for the future of DC and Peacemaker season 2 seems to be just around the corner so i’m very exited for that.

This was pretty damn solid 9. Cannot wait for more.

Hopefully they give the show more budget for action sets and but keep the action grouded and with James Gunn writing and directing every episode I don't think there'll be a massive difference. If there is it'll be done well.

I've enjoyed from series too but sometimes jokes were pretty stretched.Also I start to see pattern of James Gunn.Every antihero he wrote absolute same ;80's music lover,quippy,fast talking,man-child misfits.PeaceMaker absolute same of Starlord except he can swear all he want.But jokes mostly land and its a fun show.I still think Doom Patrol was better.

Great show with a few eye roll moments for the sake of drama ie adabyo dropping the walkie or economics not taking 2 minutes to hide the helmet etc. but it was a solid season for sure.

After watching the whole show I just realized that Peacemaker's dad's super villain name was "White Dragon" because the whole time I thought it was "White Devil". I mean both work but I really think White Devil fits better with his look and personality.

One of the weaknesses of the last episode was how the butterflies were so easy to kill, in comparison to the first one at the beginning of the season. Was there an explanation for the ease of the kills? Or plot convenience?

This series completely obliterated any series Disney and their woke overlords have made…. AND still beat them at their own game. Adebayo is HOW you handle inclusiveness without shoving it in the audience face. Kick ass series. Fun, emotional, just excellent all around

Me watching this a year later: Looks like WB listened to you on this one Joe. DC gave the captains wheel to steer the ship of the DCEU to James Gunn as president. No Snyder Verse characters. All will be redone with the Gunn.

Dude they wouldn’t be able to afford the whole Justice League that day just for the gag. In the comics they sometimes leave these big characters silhouetted when they just swing by a more minor character’s story, which I think is to not unleash that other character’s full presence into the scene, lest it distract, which I think it would have here.
