Wooo Star Trek is really back. Several shows (Discovery, Picard, Lower Decks, Prodigy, Strange New Worlds, Section 31 show maybe) across different time periods in the universe and a movie franchise set in another universe. How fun
I love that although they made Peacemaker and Vigilante goofy idiots, they're still badass in a fight and with weapons. So often those types of characters are just there to get beat up. I hope Gunn keeps doing comic book stuff, him and Taika are great at it.

Ok so I'm also a Minnesotan and can verify we do Duck Duck Grey Duck. It makes it more challenging, and also we used it in Spanish for learning colors where we would say any other lead color but we were off on gris pata.

Every time a master of filmmaking dismisses superhero movies, I want them to try one. A good filmmaker should be able to make any subject matter interesting.
Exactly tell their version and let’s see what they do . It could lead to some real interesting movies. That is what I would be calling for if I was them to let them do one with freedom
That's assuming they even want to make a superhero film. Even then, we don't know if they would be given the creative freedom to make the movie they'd want or are capable of, which is a tall ask considering how hands-on DC and Marvel are in their respective films.
I also get the impression that they haven't actually watched any of them. Like, they're not without valid criticisms, but I'm yet to hear one of these directors not come off like an old man rambling about something he doesn't know anything about.

I'm from Minnesota, and the duck duck grey duck thing works better than you think. It's not an immediate giveaway. It's not Duck, duck, duck, duck, grey duck like you said, where the first "gr" gives it away. You say various ducks to try to throw them off. Example: "Fast duck, slow duck, yellow duck, sad suck, grrrre_______een duck, orange duck, blue duck, little duck, big duck, grrre___eat duck, James duck, Maseau duck, Robat battinduck, GREY DUCK!!!!!" A lot more fun, interesting, and dare I say intellectual than simple Duck Duck Goose.
Movies like Godfather absolutely do not exist anymore on that budget/scale, so he's right in that sense that the MCU blockbuster format has hijacked all the attention in Hollywood, to the point that nothing else can be made except for trash franchices like Fast and Furious etc, that are still alive for some reason, or garbage video game-based movies.

The dead baby tweets didn't go over well with the House of Mouse.. but then they realized that if he didn't make GotG 3 that they'd literally be leaving *a billion dollars* on the table. So Disney just waited a year and changed their minds hahahahah
Not really. It was a snap decision by one of the high-ups on the board, and they pretty much immediately realised they'd been played by bad-faith actors, but couldn't walk it back straight away because of corporate politics about appearing weak or indecisive. Gunn mentioned it in an interview one time, they basically said "Go lay low, do some other stuff for a bit until the air clears on this". He wasn't even really properly "fired", because he didn't have a fully active film in production at the time.
I figured dr strange would tie into the loki series, considering the whole series dealt with the multiverse. The illuminati will actually be a council of kangs
