I love the unique personality and humor of these videos, please don't change. Too many companies choose the safe and stuffy corporate marketing route, but you guys are authentic and make me happy to continue being a customer.
@@RogerWilco1 it's not good - the only way I can watch the entire video is due to the personalities presenting and their engaging manner...I love to watch and laugh!
I've had mine for about 3-4 years its been very durable and reliable. My gear has never gotten broken while carrying. I use it 4-6 times a week and it still looks fairly new and nothing has stopped wroking on it.
I love that you credit the people the various features were designed by. Can't think of any other company that does that - for them, it must be all about the brand.
I know this is a 3 year old video, but I just wanted to say, I'm a few minutes into this video, and wish every bag company made videos like this of their products. It's super helpful. Thank-you!
tried many before and a few since but this is still my no1 choice of bag. So many great features. Had it a few years now and it’s been all over the world. Still looks like new.
These guys are just thinking through every usage possibility, the bags, the tripod, they look into every detail. Like he said the details have details. No wonder they dare to set a high price on their products. I think it's all worth it.
Is there a way to prevent someone walking up behind you and undoing the mag latch and taking something out of the top of the bag? It seems all the zips have security features but I wasn't seeing that with the mag latch.
I have had the 30L v1 since 2016. I’ve used and travelled with it extensively. It is (IMO) still the better looking version, and guaranteed the best bag in the world. It looks BRAND new. After all the use I’ve put through it. The only thing I think is (significantly) better on the new version is the internal pocket design of the side zips. Knowing peak design I’m sure they’ve made some really clever improvements. It’s SO well built, SO well designed (shoutout to Art), it’s great for travel, high capacity, the dividers make great space even more usable AND help the bag keep its shape. I love my Peakdesign gear so much. More recently I’ve had cause to rely on their customer service and omg they don’t disappoint. This company is ACES from top to bottom.
Edit, over a 18 months later. I’ve now had cause to travel with both a bottle of water and a bottle of wine in this bag, and it did great. Not to mention it was loaded to capacity and didn’t break a sweat - for real it weighed 40-50lbs. After 6 years of pretty heavy use, the top zip weatherproofing rubber coating and ONE of the many fabric panels for padding on the back are beginning to wear. Still entirely functional, but beginning to wear. I expect to get at least 3-5 more years out of this bag.. and then I’ll buy another. They are masterpieces.
Pocketable tote - yes please! Already bought some Peak Design camera straps and I am about to buy Capture, extra Arca Swiss plate and a Messenger bag. Love the design and feel of your stuff!
Really good instructional video about the everyday bag. Very helpful explanation about the use of the bags in combination with the camera's used. Those pocketable totes are really useful, I could use one. This video really helped me decide choosing the right bag. Thanks.
Just got a 30L charcoal and it fits my 5D on a 70-200, a 16-35, Mavic Mini ,a Macbook 13" and required accsessories with ease. Great video! I really appreciated learning about all the features. That pocetable tote look great if you have any left.
@@geeksomeguy maybe make the tote so you can turn it upside down and use it as a shell over the backpack in the rain:) then everyone is happy..and not waterproof water free:)
Can't believe I just watched a 32 minute video about a backpack from start to finish. Great work. I love PD stuff and will be buying either the everyday or travel shortly.
Incredibly well-designed. As an interior designer, product designer, and photographer, I don't think there's a photography accessory brand out there designing better products than these guys. Also dig the West Texas Cloud Appreciation t-shirt...someone has obviously been to Marfa.
I love my everyday backpack 30L v2, It's great. After watching this video, I miss the field pouch ;-) I use peak design since several years - capture clip, handcuff and the amazing tripod! Greetings from Bavaria..
Would really like to see how to load out a full frame body with holy trinity set of zoom lenses. 16-35/2.8, 24-70/2,8 and 70-200/2.8. Plus a speed lite 😎
It’s better if you put tech pouch horizontally at the bottom and camera on the upper space as camera is more protect. Than, I want the foldable tote too!!!
I use your product and I really like it. The goods purchased on your website were delivered to me in one day (Reykjavik). Thanks for your product. I respect.
The one thing you didn't cover and what brought me here today... Airline carry-on size? and sure, I would like to have a PD tote :-D I have enough PD gear, to fill it.
*5 min in--why am I watching this? I already own the bag and it's sitting right next to me lol Still waiting for more hints on the new product you teased about on IG!
I love heritage tan. LOVE. I have the v1 20L backpack in that color and it's pretty much the only reason I won't upgrade to v2. BRING BACK HERITAGE TAN.
These instructional videos are great! I always learn a few things that I missed in the documentation or didn’t discover myself! Please make more of them! :)
Hi, so pleased with the 30L Everyday backpack V2 that I have just bought, love the design, great attention to detail. Previously bought your camera clips and straps. Would love a pocket tote as well, would be great accompaniment with my 30L V2 backpack Thankyou.
Great video instruction. Light and informative, and please do not change! Looks like a great place to work! I would probably purchase a tote, maybe as an addition to the bag, like the hip belt. For example, I would use when I fly. Now I have a little tote in my bag, and when I get ready to sit and before I put my bag in the overhead, I have it pre-filled with my essentials - ear plugs, power pack for my electronics, snacks, parachute ... ok, not a parachute, head phones (left an expensive pair on a flight once...still have not heard the last of that one) etc., and stuff it in my seat pocket. Easily accessible, and then I just stuff it in my bag when I get off the plane.
22:55 Be careful, this feature is falsely advertised. I’ve just gone through PD support because ProPad would not fit and they told me that it isn’t designed to, despite what this video shows.
Just bought mine today as a shooters bag for my R5. I absolutely love this bag. Please continue to do these great videos: A good day is one where I learn something I didn't know; this video taught me three . PS: Yeah, definitely want one of those pocketable totes--would make a great bag for the bag! =)
When I opened my Christmas present from my son Sean (video editor, photographer +) and saw that he bought me a Peak Design "Everyday Backpack" i was so excited. I've admired his for years now. This video was awesome, love how personal it was and incredibly detailed, cracked me up several times! I learned about the "hidden pocket" and found a pd sticker in there, score. I spent time today organizing my new Everyday Backpack, I love it!! Can't say that enough. Now, based on the video, I'd love a "Pocketable Tote", I've been using baggu recyclable bags before people knew what they were, I have my original 3 and I think I've had them for 12+ years! I like matching things :-) Thank you for making excellent quality and earth friendly products. Keli
15:45. 3/2/24. The bag maker of my dreams!!! Dancers have as music gear as photo makers. The challenge is that at 105 pounds weight is a challenge You guys have done it. Bravo!!! See you soon
Excellent videos. Great products, and yes the "clicks" are satisfying. Just bought the tripod too and it rocks for hiking in when shooting landscapes. Keep up the good work/quality and don't change your marketing or instructional videos!
One Addition I would make to this back pack is to include strap stays on the main straps so that they can be consolidated to the back and not jiggle around where your arms are.
Thanks for this video! I love the informal approach and thorough walkthrough with examples. This is the most versatile, well thought out and durable bag out there!
This bag also makes a killer diaper bag :) We went to Disneyland and I put wipes in one compartment, diapers in another, then the top was left open for snacks and gadgets. It also worked really well when it rained straight for 2 days!
amazing .. i hv a nomatic peter mckinnon one .. but i really want to use this peak design one .. the design and quality looks brilliant 🤩. such detailing to each and every aspect if the backpack 🎒 .. badly wanna use it and review it
Just got mine today. Hoping it will last for 5 years or more. Really great design, everything feels well - built! Thank you for this instructional video as well.
Yes, a pocket tote would be a great addition . I just got a 20L backpack. Great bag. Took a while to get it the way I wanted to work. Also Brought a Carbon TriPod. Very happy with it so far.
Oh. And I definitely get a vibe of quality from the videos: “Care and Quality are internal and external aspects of the same thing. A person who sees Quality and feels it as he works is a person who cares. A person who cares about what he sees and does is a person who’s bound to have some characteristic of quality.” ― Robert M. Pirsig, Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance: An Inquiry Into Values
Received my 20L a few weeks ago and LOVE IT! This video is what sold me. Just watched it again and had indeed forgotten about the passport pocket! Wish I would have purchased the hip belt at the same time, but was so excited about the backpack that I forgot. 😂 I’m using the laptop compartment to store my water bladder and it works great for longer hikes😊 Thank you, thank you! Now I’m saving my mad money for a camera strap, hip belt and a few other goodies.
Have you changed the dimensioning of the Hip Belt or the Pro Pad? I can't seem to be able to mount the two as shown @22:55. The opening in the Hip Belt just isn't wide enough to accept the Pro Pad..
Thank you for this. I bought one through REI's used gear store, but didn't have the information on all the features. This video made me appreciate the bag even more. And, agreeing with the commenters that say "don't change."
This video was very helpful! I am interested, but I have a question: Will the 30L (not necessarily full) fit on the floor under the seat in front of you on a flight? Also, how can I get one of those tote bags? Thanks!
Fantastic video! Just got my 30L bag and already loaded it with my Canon R6 with a 100mm Macro Lens as well as 3 additional lenses, and room to spare! Looking forward to traveling with this kit in a few weeks!
I'm going for the 20L having seen the video. In past with other bags I used to fill space available because it was there. Lots of "just in case" lenses etc. Now I'm mirror less need bag to match. Tote bag looked useful as well!
Would you guys ever consider making a SMALL backpack? Even the smaller zip is a little too big for me. Love your products and I would go for the slings as they're more the size I want, but I can't use bags with just one strap due to back and shoulder issues. I'm just a hobby photographer with a micro four thirds system, taking pics of family outings and whatever catches my eye, so I don't carry a lot gear.
Love the video of the Everyday Backpack V2 setup and tips. I want a tech pouch and packable bag too. I will be ordering a 30L because I always feel like I am forgetting something if I don't have the kitchen sink with me.
