I lost my husband in an accident in January, he was only 42. I know that I have found solace in watching my familiar RU-vidrs, they don't know how soothing they can be just by doing what they do. I’ve been making “vermont chicken salad” for years. At the cafe i worked we called it carolina chicken salad. Not sure why 😊. But we didn’t add yogurt or mustard and added a bit more maple syrup. Yours sounds good.
Sounds delicious!! I’m in Florida and we actually have a chain of fast food Chicken Salad places. They currently offer 16 different types. From fruity to savory and some blazing hot !! It’s called Chicken Salad Chick. They offer several different breads and some delicious side salads and soups. My favorites always contain fruits. Can’t wait to try your version.

this southern girl loves a good chicken salad !!!! I too prefer craisins over grapes. as for myself, I'd add a bit of onion & celery. Another trick I learned (I like my chicken shredded), is to put the warm chicken in a stand mixer and run the paddle for a bit - shreds it easy, peasy in no time !!! I recently found your channel and I’m enjoying it so much! I’m definitely going to try your chicken salad recipe. I grew up in Spain and the chicken salad there is called Russian salad. It has chicken, potatoes, peas, apple and pimiento. We add mayo, salt and pepper and the juice from the pimiento bottle. It is delicious!
That looks sooooo good!! I am pretty much a kitchen disaster, but I think I could handle this. Brilliant to poach the chicken with all that wonderful stuff that becomes a soup stock later. I'll be trying this soon!
I’m definitely going to make this. I love chicken salad !! Love it with green grapes too. I’ve always made it with toasted sliced almonds but those glazed walnuts look scrumptious !! Do you have a cookbook ? You should think about it . I think your page 1 should be your ultimate meatloaf , with the mushrooms and carrots and all that goodness . But that's just me . Love your Instructions and your Reasoning behind each step .
Great fall recipe. I make chicken but I use the “controversial red grapes” and I use curry. But I’m thinking apples would be a good choice.I know this will make people cringe, but I poach my chicken in the microwave with spices because I am always in a rush. 🥴It works pretty well-chicken stays juicy.
I love these videos.... but wearing the hat while cooking just gives me gross vibes. I dunno, old school and don't think people should wear hats indoors, ESP while cooking. Eh...
