Obviously if you have a Y chromosome instead of an X chromosome you are closer to a species that has two entire extra chromosomes compared to humans that have everything the exact same, except an X chromosome. ok in all seriousness, this is one of the wildest takes I’ve ever heard.

Not to mention it's estimated there are as many intersex people as there are redheads, but a lot go on to live without ever knowing. A lot of athletes could be intersex and be persecuted because of transphobia. Maybe Katy Ledecky is intersex. Imo, biological sex is abstract af and we shouldn't dwell on it so much without actual expert opinion. Like, people with literal biology degrees or people who did gender studies. Most people are not just ignorant on the subject, but completely irresponsable when facing their own stupidity.

It makes me so mad when I see these types of comments. All the woman in my family are very hairy, having facial hair and all that, even though they are cis (In my case it's a bit worse bc of PCOS, but even if I didn't had it, I'd probably be very hairy still). It's infuriating how some people simple don't know the basics of human anatomy. Everyone can have lots of hair despite the gender. We are mammals after all

I have PCOS with facial hair and a broad back. Still don't feel like I'm any less of a woman, though. Though I am asexual and demiromantic.

before i started hrt i was a very hairy person. didn't have pcos or anything, just a lot of body hair because of my mom's lineage. like. some women just. have hair (now that i've been on hrt for some years, i've got even more lmfao but still hardly any luck on the facial hair)

This is what happens when media pretties up every representation of women and makes sure all men are shown as hairy and muscular as possible. Throw in a culture that "learns" almost every "fact" from what they see in the media and you have a recipe for top-level stupidity!

My aunt legit thought I started taking testosterone bc of my visible peach fuzz. I didn't do anything with it either, she's just a little weird.

@@meuanglao7 Same here. Before I started T I was already quite „blessed“ with body hair which I inherited from both my mother and my father. A couple of weeks ago my best friend - looking at my forearms - commented on me „getting quite hairy“ and I burst out laughing and told her that only my belly, chest and shoulders had become hairier and everything else was pretty much there since I was 12 years old. She (and everybody else for that matter) just hadn‘t seen it because I used to shave pretty much my entire body since I turned 16. And I think that‘s one reason for (cis) men thinking that cis women don‘t have body/facial hair… because so many shave(d) for the past 20 years, that people don‘t even know anymore what natural body/facial hair on females looks like. PS.: Strangely enough though, I had a bigger mustache before I got on T than I have after 1 year on. 😂

Second this^ mine was low for cis women before starting T which means part of my imbalance was hormonal too. Still following up with an endocrinologist but agree!! Still Transitioning but a lot slower now knowing ^~^

@katarinagiselle6589 That's true, perhaps I should say that these hormones are typical physiology regardless of one's biological sex or gender, assuming no pathology like having a thyroid removed or total hysterectomy. Endocrinology is very complex, unlike the "basic science" where these people stopped learning.

I have one word for that woman: lanolin. And also: pelvic floor exercises. The rest is just par for the course. Birth parents are tearing and shitting in childbirth all the time, we've all done it. It's not triggering and doesn't prove your gender, it's just part of the process.

All of those things are somewhat normal aspects of having children (though I do hope the nipple thing didn’t last long and she got her latch sorted). I have no idea why that is supposed to trigger trans women though. I get that trans women might be unhappy about their inability to give birth, but why use the worst bits? Also, this is more likely to hurt infertile cis women who were brought up with the expectation of being able to give birth and have had to let that go. It’s actually really cruel.

Oh, it's not working. I've been on T for two years and completely lost my pelvis by the end of the first year. I can now do the splits and put my feet behind my head. As all *real* men can. I think you should talk to your doctor as life without a pelvis is truly amazing.

So people can put themselves into early menapause and increase their chances of cancer, earlier on in life too? Sounds like a terrible idea that also will never work. However women have been able to temporarily borrow (2yrs tops in the experiment) uteruses from women who were either brain dead or needed to have it removed for their health in order to help other women who couldn't previously carry a chance to have their child. Their eggs and their partners semen is implanted through IVF and they have up to two years (on bed rest) and apparently the people in this trial so get one more chance to either have their first child or a second (but I think with a different uterus.) Biologically, this is risky with even women during this groundbreaking study that began a few years ago, however it would be impossible for men because they do not have a vagina or a cervix that can help them give birth, and labor aside, they can't grow the necessary life (umbilical) chord from mama to baby. Nor could they breast feed (other then a nutritionless, chemical/hormonal man titty liquid, which would be just selfish and would fuck up the baby with all the non-bioavailable Pharma-Fake hormones.

Endometriosis is a real thing that exists, and many people at least attempt to get hysterectomies as the solution because they never plan on going through childbirth. Secondly I'm going to need a source on that cancer claim.
