"The thought of having euphoria from getting bottom surgery gave me dysphoria," Bro, the vibes. I got my egg cracked watching a RU-vid video by this gender therapist (for transfems specifically) where she gives this scenario: "Imagine you could change your body. Make it softer, more curvy. How does that make you feel?" Now imagine that you could never make those changes. Does that upset you? If it does, that's called gender dysphoria." And I was like, "Ohh. Ohhhhh shit." I mean, it's kinda shitty on one level because the question is specifically designed to induce dysphoria in trans people by giving them a taste of euphoria and then taking it away, but it was so clarifying to me, a dense little egg person.

god, yeah. I used to fantasize about a version of me that had a flat chest, tall body, shorter hair, wide shoulders, and then a visual depiction of a guy came to mind.... i just kinda pictured that as like, an alter ego of myself so i treated him like a character. it wasn't until i realized.... "no i want that and it makes me upset that im NOT him" that i thought "wait am I trans???" I was giving myself euphoria and a coping mechanism through my character before realizing "no, thats not enough... I want to be like this actually"

Okay so I did it too, with eyebrow dye... it Fades after 3-5 days depending on how much you Lotion wash and rub your face... but the colored fuzz stays for longer so yeah, leaving that here because I know others will try it 😅🙈

huge tip for folks who do this in the future: try using vinegar to lighten the stain on your skin - it helped get it out for me after a couple washes.

@@cassettetaped better would be to use a chemical peel that is formulated to not hurt the skin barrier. because this is what vinegar does: it peels of the outer layer of your skin. And if you do this: don't sunbath after that for some days

There's this really attractive figure of a tall, hot lady, that follows me everywhere I go, that I can check out all I want with zero repercussions. About being scared of bottom growth, for ages I thought I couldn't be trans because while I wanted a beard and no boobs and a deeper voice I didn't want bottom growth. It took me hearing jammiedoger here on RU-vid talking about why he went with metoidioplasty instead of phalloplasty to realise that all my anxiety was tied up in the feeling of "not having a real penis." Like, I didn't want to have slightly different genitalia I wanted completely different genitalia and rather than actually thinking about that my brain just went "no, don't want, can't be trans." I'm over a year on T now and I'm really happy with all the changes, including bottom growth, but it took me time to unpack all the internalised transphobia and general perfectionistic thinking to get here

But I’m terrified that I’d never be desirable to anyone as a man, bc I’m too small and I’ll never REALLY have the right parts, and it makes me think I shouldn’t even bother trying even though I know trying to be with anyone as a woman makes me so uncomfortable that I just avoid dating altogether

On the "baby trans scared on bottom growth" thing: I think I've come across non-binary folks who wanted facial hair, lower voice, etc, but not bottom growth. Actually there's a number of non-binary folks who wish they could just have no genitals at all. I'll just be, like... over here waiting for morphing nanobot prosthetics with sensory input or something... Just lemme shapeshiiiiiiiiift...

@@jeanbernal9083 you can be any variety of trans and not want bottom growth. Unfortunately we don't have any treatments that cater to that exactly but, still totally valid. Like a lot of trans people decide HRT and surgery aren't right for them.

Very much this. My friend and I are actually contemplating starting an adult playground as a gym option, kinda like CrossFit gyms, but fun and not culty. Just like all the best playground equipment in larger sizes. It would be so fucking healthy, both mentally and physically. With the bouncy balls you can jump around on, like a yoga ball with handles, pedal gocarts and kangaroo stilts, group skipping, hulahoop and monkey bars, slides and swings, so many swings:-) But we have no money, so please steal the idea, if it can become reality that way.

I started looking at a phallo subreddit and I've been dysphoric as fuck because the really good results make me want one but I also can't let myself really want it because I'll likely never have the funds. Seeing trans joy can be like pineapple, I want as much of it as possible and it's wonderfully sweet, but after a while the skin in my mouth starts to go raw from the enzymes

I definitely have phantom tits syndrome. One time, I dropped a cheez-it and felt it go down my cleavage…. And I don’t have cleavage anymore… It was a bizarre feeling. Also, the cheez-it disappeared so maybe it dimension shifted to wherever my former cleavage is now.

Like, I'm used to stuff just sliding right off my chest, so the fact that my chest is gaining the capacity to hold things (again no cleavage yet so it's still very limited) is not something I'm used to Then I realise what's going on and get a rush of euphoria

The missing breast thing is so real. Once I went back to work after top surgery.. the number of times I froze walking out the door to go to work with "OMG I am not wearing a bra/binder" only to remember "oh don't need one" a minute later was a thing that happened quite often for at least a month.

its been almost 4 years since i had top surgery and i still regularly am getting out my clothes for the day and sitting there trying to think why i feel like im missing a piece of underwear before i realise that my brain is still trying to remember my binder. also funnily enough, balding was incredibly euphoric for me, but in the way that i get good gender feelings from being mad abt balding, which then cancels out the mad. my dad has rocked the wispy baby hairs on top with full head around the sides for most of my life, so its like a little haha i look like my dad now

A matter of genetics, not cis or trans. T levels are a factor but not the only one. Some ethnic groups just cannot grow much facial hair, even at high T levels.

That peach fuzz stain method is how I tried to turn fuzz to sideburns. Except I picked red. Like, bright, BRIGHT red. Because I use it to dye my hair red (it makes me think faster). I looked like I had the weirdest sunburn since that one time I looked like a raccoon from spending too much time reading outside.

I recommend mascara next time. Its not permanent but does give good results so long as you have the peach fuzz to dye. I dont have enough to make it look like i have a beard like at all. Just a terrible moustache.

I've gone through 4 tubes of that stuff over the last couple years & it is the best brow gel ever. Go for Essence Brow Gel if you just need pigment without hold or volume, but the Covergirl is just... *chef's kiss* Such a lifesaver on days when I get really upset that I'm not on T yet & wish my brows/sideburns had more to work with.

Regarding the handsymbols: Omnisexual, pansexual and polysexual all fall under the bi(attracted to two or more genders)umbrella. IF I'm not mistaken pan and omni are attracted to all genders but differentiate in that omnis have a preference while pans don't, polys are attracted to more than two genders but not all genders

I feel that last point though. I'm a trans femme enby and didn't realize I had dysphoria around my brow region until i read a graphic novel by a trans woman that mentioned FFS in that specific context. I felt like shit for like a week, but now, about a year later, I've had my first consultation for FFS and I'm so fucking excited and cautiously optimistic

Yep, the only thing that is stoping me from getting T (aside from money) is the fear of getting bald too early. Like, i don't care if i grow a ditto, but my hair?? My grandpa looked like Miguel Hidalgo (?) and my uncle started to lose his hair when he was like 30. I expect my forehead to expand beyond my back at age 20-something ;_;

Best of luck. Balding prevention isn't why I went on T blockers, as I have e a full head of hair and male balding hasn't set in, but it feels so great to know that now it's never going to happen as a side effect of making my body function the way I want it to.

Oh my god the sudden dysphoria when the stupid hand gesture is assigned lesbian is soooo real 😭😭 It’s dumb af because obviously those do not at all have any gender or identity whatsoever but I can relate with feeling dysphoric when anything I do is labelled “woman” or “lesbian” in any way. It feels weird, because to me being labelled "lesbian" is the most euphoric thing ever. I don't make being trans my whole personality, but I do make being a lesbian a big part of my personality. I love it so so much. If it makes you feel any better, I more so associate the ✌️ gesture with being a lesbian because that's a representation of vaginal fingering (I wish I could try long nails, but I've accepted the fact that I'm never going to, and that's fair enough), 🤙 meanwhile, has nothing to do with being a lesbian, this isn't a useful hand configuration for that.

I didn't realize bottom growth was a thing when I started T until my trans friend told me they were scared to start cause of bottom growth. Would I change the outcome? Nah. Just took me by surprise cause all the things I used to research about hormones didn't tell me anything about bottom growth. My friend is scared cause they're sensitive in that area and hate it. Bottom growth basically makes it more sensitive (in my experience). I don't enjoy it but I'm happy with the other changes that came with taking T. I'm guessing people who are scared are normally non-binaries who wanted the androgynous look, sex-replused aces or those who don't have bottom dysphoria (2/3 are me and my friend). Just my input tho

I started out painfully sensitive there before T. I feel like when the growth started it sort of...spread the nerves out a bit? It's still painful in certain situations, but not nearly so. On the flip side, it added a different sensitivity every time I moved in the beginning and thats made my brain go "oh is thiiiiis why teenage boys come off as h*rny lil shits all the time?"

im a nonbinary guy and im absolutely terrified of bottom growth for 3 reasons: 1. the idea of having any genitalia, *especially* a pp, makes me incredibly dysphoric 2. i have the most sensitive skin known to man and ive heard it gets even more sensitive (i also have an incredibly low pain tolerance) 3. im sex-repulsed ace and it just gives me the ick

Before T I thought about never going on it because I was so scared of bottom growth. I had to self reflect and realized that it was because I had dysphoria and shame about my genitalia and the idea of being able to see more of it freaked me out, plus I really didn't (and still don't) view it as my "dick" personally, so it growing wouldn't alleviate dysphoria for me.

Can confirm, when you go out post top surgery it does indeed feel like you're missing something for awhile. Also, when getting dressed since it's faster you feel like you've forgotten an important garment but there's NO TIDDY YOU DON'T NEED IT

Yay you! Congratulations mate! I was about 1 week in when I got the sore throat that was the start of my voice drop. It took about a year more to land, but it was wild how fast it all started. And then the eating and the tiredness and the constant hornyness. You're just gonna love it. :-)

14:44 this guy Lewis actually was on TV! He was on a British show in 2011 called my transsexual summer - cringe name but it was the first time I ever saw a trans guy, and trans people interacting with each other. He does various other projects these days, a proper legend

We don't have to make it a bad thing, people can have them and some people can't. We should support all sides and what they want to have their chest be called. Unless the guy is dysphoric and they've expressed discomfort, there should be no problem.

I was totally scared of bottom growth because of sensitivity issues. But then that changed and...yes. I want bottom surgery but we sure as fuck are not at a point scientifically for me to not be horribly disappointed in the result. (To anyone reading this in the future: it's not the aesthetic I'm worried about, as I've seen a lot of really well done phalloplasties. I have a lot of nerve damage and pain issues all over my body and I'm more concerned with the potential lack of sensation because that can fuck your head up if you literally cannot feel a part of your body for a long period of time.)

I'm non-binary and I really want bottom growth but not facial hair and a permanently deep voice (I'd like to be able to deepen my voice but I don't want to lose my high pitch as well, I just want to be able to talk in every pitch). It's strange because so many people want a deep voice and facial hair but not bottom growth but bottom growth is one of the things that I would want most.

Hey! Just wanted to say that I took T for a few months and my voice dropped maybe 2 octaves, and I practiced that entire time singing and working on all my range, and about a year after I had started the T my falsetto was pretty good, not great tho hahah but I can still most of the notes I could hit before T and my natural range is currently a baritone now after being around alto? So if that’s something you want, you just gotta work on it, and it takes time and it’s not perfect or even like so so easy, but its very possible!!!

FYI, I'm pretty sure you can get bottom growth with relatively few general effects if you topically apply T to your dick? Like, obviously do your research, but I read that some cis women did/do that so it's probably possible?

3:48 Not sure if this will work for all, but I'll throw this tip out there since this works for really bad brow tint jobs on my end. I rub toothpaste and dish soap on a dry face for a bit and wash it off until the color comes off completely. It may burn (depending on if you did a perm-like step beforehand, just in case you are feminine leaning reading this) so try the dawn dish soap tip first before you get to the toothpaste tip. Good luck and hope it works for you all!

Phantom binder is real lol. For like a month after my surgery I'd be doing stuff around my house and someone would come over and for a moment before answering the door I'd be like "Shit, I don't have my binder on." and then instantly remember it was fine.

I was pretty terrified of bottom growth even though I wanted it, worried I wouldn't be able to walk without overstimulation lol. That hasn't been an issue, as thankfully sensitivity went down a little bit with the growth. Maybe the nerve endings spread out a bit or something idk.
