Pee Wee Kirkland: Passed on Chicago Bulls Contract, Drugs Made More Money

Pee Wee Kirkland is legendary for his skills on the basketball court, and at one point he was offered a spot on the Chicago Bulls, which he later turned down. When asked about the decision, Pee Wee explained that he never really was committed to playing for the Bulls, and he backed out completely when the coach told him they had another guard they had already committed to. He then explained that he never felt that there was anything he had to prove by being in the NBA, because he had already proved himself against the best players in the game.
During the conversation Pee Wee also shared his thoughts on current players in the game, including Steph Curry, whom Pee Wee says is the greatest player out right now. He then added that while LeBron is a great all-around player, Pee Wee said that the Cleveland superstar is the most charitable and best human beings in basketball today.
To hear more of what Pee Wee had to say, including how he thinks the game has changed, hit the above clip.

+getyoasshome only thing is guys from that era made shit for money. they all had to get jobs in the offseason to supplement their NBA income. the money didnt come in until the 80's and didnt get huge until the 90's.
@JustinBlazzzee
@JustinBlazzzee 8 лет назад
getyoasshome after taxes 40k is like 30k. pee wee was making more than that on the street so why take a huge gigantic paycut to go into the NBA? forget about opening a business, he already had a business lol
@JustinBlazzzee
@JustinBlazzzee 8 лет назад
getyoasshome i clearly failed math? i graduated with a bachelors and an MBA and i run my fathers multi million dollar real estate business. i would imagine i am significantly smarter than you and something tells me you have at least 15-20 years on me. what do you do for a living? probably something that a million other people could do. i would imagine this is true because you don't appear to be too bright based on your "he could have used that 30k to open a business or a coaching job" statement. open a coaching job? what the fuck does that even mean? and if you are so stupid that you think that making 30k one year (now lets deduct what he needed to live and cal the 30k what it would end up being, 10k) somehow allows you to open a business that will thrive even though you are NOT around and have to pay someone to manage it in the critical early stages because you have a job in the NBA then you are pretty fucking naive. it just shows me that you have never tried to run a business and have no clue what you are talking about. good day, sir.
@JustinBlazzzee
@JustinBlazzzee 8 лет назад
getyoasshome honestly it makes me feel kind of good that you think my life is a lie. just shows me that you wish you were me lol and you know what? dont look at yourself as being less than others. as a wise man from the 80's once said, the world needs ditch diggers too.
