smaller than the superpowers, but at 350,000 strong when mobilised and with top notch training and technology, is considered the most capable in the region.
Sorry to be offtopic but does anyone know of a tool to get back into an instagram account? I stupidly lost the account password. I would love any tips you can give me.
@Bishop Cullen Thanks so much for your reply. I got to the site thru google and Im waiting for the hacking stuff atm. Looks like it's gonna take a while so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
This documentary brings back some memories of my NS days as an AI trooper in 46 SAR during 1981 (wow, already 41 years ago!); those days we only have the AMX-13 and M113. I also miss the char kwai teow in the old coffee shop and the open air cinema just right across the small road leading to Sungai Kedong Camp, and also the coffee shop or hawker centre at the now-gone HDB estate along Lim Chu Kang Road.
When the IFV's drive around, Shoalwater Bay Training Area is instantly recognisable- however, can someone tell me where the gunnery range was for the Leopards? My guess= Fort Hood in Texas, USA?
I hope philippines can acquire these kind of battle tanks. Our soldiers need it to fight against terrorism but i dont see this kind of tanks in their ops
Salute from your Filipino brothers here. I hope our country can acquire that bionix ifv although we have plenty of IFV here too but we need that kind for our warfare in the southern country.
Singapore's defense army so famous due to up date equipment and effective !Unbelievably a female higher rank armour office in charge ?French and German tank or armour vehicle are silence and accurate engine as well as stable and automatic fire system ! Training provides higher standard for Singaporean armour!
Not true.. A10 wun be able to reach the tankies.. A10 is a slow aircraft and likely wun be used if the air is not cleared.. and our air will not be cleared.. at least in SEA..
Black colour is good, dirty cannot see, and dont need to wash, and can save water for Singapore, thank you for choosing black, Hope commando and all follow up with armour to choose black. Why not choose black uniform too, night time enemy cannot see u.
Bruh the beret colour is used to represent the different formations. The red beret is prestigiously iconic for the Commandos so no way they will change it to black. It will be boring and devaluing if every formation has the same colour beret. And what country has black combat uniforms for their soldiers? U do realise that combat can take place during the day too, right? The current pixelated pattern and colours of the number 4 uniform are good as it matches Singapore's jungle environment. Although it is not ideal for urban environments.
I once saw a video on why Senior NCOs don’t salute Lts in the US Army. Then there was this comment saying “If the Lt wants a salute, he’s gotta climb all these chevrons to get one.”
its out of respect because her appointment as CO is higher as compared to what a CPT can hold ie. OC. Also, we address male WO as enciks, but we don't address female WO as makciks in the SAF. So female WO is also called Ma'am.
@@delta-romeo0263 coz respect shd be earned and not a given, regardless of rank. But LTs in the US are looked down upon/make fun of by their peers by coz unlike here where everyone goes thru BMT, most officer cadets there enter OCS via direct entry thru ROTC or wtv it is called. Correct me if im wrong.
Tanks and armor vehicle have become primary targets and made obsolete with the introduction of unmanned aerial combat vehicles to the battlefield. They are expensive to build and costly to maintain. Their effectiveness now is quite questionable.
Aerial drones equally important : arberbaijian beat armenien flat using aerial drones to hunt and to bomb armenian tanks and convoys and dug in. Armenian surrender after 2 weeks. Aerial drones!!!!
@@EuphGabe CO?! but that can't be what, she OC of armour spec cadet training wing is it? There's no way officers will be under a WO, just like spec will never be under a man. Unless she is CO for only WOspec and troopers training wing uh
@@Keowwwww Haha it’s true that in formality, her rank is lower of any commissioned of the SAF. However, her appointment supersedes any rank if appointed. I was an LTA under her back in the day hahaha.
@@MightyPooPSTEAM Big eyes no need glasses. So pls dont wear any glasses or sunglasses in the future when your vision decreases. Just go for surgery and make your eye bigger to see better:)
Since when were we allowed to film inside the Singapore army's armour camp ? Are we letting our potential enemies know what weapon systems we have ? Back in those days when I was still a full time national serviceman (20 years ago), we were never allowed to film in armour camp and upload videos onto the internet. Times have really changed and this is madness....
You realize that all the information they shared is publicly available right? And most likely the video was checked multiple times if there isn't any sensitive information that can be revealed. Most likely normal soldiers still aren't allowed to film in the armor camp.
So small city cannot have army? They are to defend the country. Without them a country can be easily invaded. Some more SG is a hub for many things so the more crucial to have one for safety as well.
They have done many military training with other countries which is equivalent to gaining battle experience. The only weak here is your perspective on others.
For those that are wondering why so many of the soldiers are wearing glasses...they have a conscription system where all boys older than 16 must serve 2 years for conscription....not sure if anyone else is curious lol
The mass majority of guys entering the army would be around the ages of 18-20 years olds. As its the time where most of them would have completed tertiary education(ITE, Polytechnic or junior college)
