Thank you, Jennifer and Platinum for your excellent tutorials! I’ve been prepping my skin with fade bright for over a week and decided today was the day to use my 13% TCA on my face, neck & chest. I binge watched your videos all morning and had this one going as I did it. I was 100% prepared, thanks to you! I washed, used the peel prep B, then swiped the TCA soaked but squeezed gauze all over. I even swiped over and under my eyes, per your eye tutorial, but using the gauze towards the end when it was much drier. I hit the 5 minute timer and waited, anxiously looking at my skin for frosting, but never saw any. Again, thanks to your videos, I knew this was ok as I’ve been using glycolic and retinoids/Tretinoin for a long time now. There wasn’t any stinging or irritation by the end of the 5 minutes so I applied a second layer, but skipped my eyes this time. After rinsing, I applied the fade bright, a GF, Luminosity, and some other soothing lotions, spf, and I’m done! My skin feels amazing and I’m looking forward to seeing how the next few days go. I love your products, look forward to trying more, and anticipate a successful peel series. 💓

Perfect. Sounds like you did a great job. *Don't be afraid to add more solution if your Gauze is getting too dry. It is OK. :) We still want a nice Sheen on the skin showing the wetness for 10+ seconds.

The main area I use them and need them is on my neck. So, I purchased a couple sleeveless tanks from Amazon that are light enough for summer but protect my neck skin (and hide it) as it peels ! 🥰

Light and air exposure degrades antioxidants like vitamin C; I noticed the High Octane vitamin C cream comes in an open-mouthed jar. Shouldn't it be in a closed, dark colored bottle to protect the ingredients?

The container our Vitamin C is in is a double walled acrylic jar. It is perfectly safe from the elements. Also, it does NOT have any water in it to cause oxidation. It will be fresh and viable for well over 1 year.

If you are using Luminosity post peel.....You will want to hold off on your Retina until you are done peeling.

The ochronotic coloration (dark purplish) most commonly results from the prolonged use of certain topical agents like hydroquinones, but it also occurs with the use of products containing resorcinol, phenol, mercury, or picric acid. Treatment of this condition is very difficult. The causal agent must be avoided and improvement occurs slowly. Q-switched 755 nm alexandrite laser, Q-switched ruby laser, CO2 laser, cryotherapy, trichloroacetic acid, tretinoin gel, dermabrasion have all been used for treatment. Obviously we can help you if you want to try the TCA. I would suggest the 13% at 1-2 layers. Here is the link to the study that was done on this: www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3482806/

My skin is not sensitive. I use 40% lactic peel, I only leave it on for 2-3 minutes but my skin has never actually peeled. It gets red, it looks healthier but it's never actually peeled. Should I leave it on longer? Use a stronger %? Or shorten my interval? I do one about every 2 weeks, give or take a day or two. Friends say they get a 30-40% done every week, leaving it on for up to 5 minutes. Thoughts?

Shane Jones lactic is more hydrating. You won’t generally get any visible flakes at all. Yes this can be done weekly. I suggest to leave it on longer if you can. 5-10 minutes is pretty standard for lactic.

Hi Jennifer i cannot find which video it was but I believe you said we can do a retinol boost layer after the tca peel? I hope i didn’t misunderstand. Also can I do lesser peels between my tca peels? (I.e tca peel, 3 weeks later: lactic acid peel, 3 weeks later: another tca peel Thank you

Yes, we call that our Luminosity Booster. It is a retinol serum that you apply after you rinse your TCA or jessners.... and then, you can apply 1x per day for the next 2-4 days or until the skin starts flaking. Then you stop. It will cause more aggressive flaking from your peel. No peels in between peels. Alternate them. Hi there. I suggest that you get the TCA 30% (5ml vial is perfect) and apply that first. Follow this video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE--4Nrf9i6ROs.html Then, you can go ahead and do your full face peel with the 13%. NO RINSING NECESSARY. I like to do it this way because now your scar will get a double dose of acid. The 30% and then 5 minutes later the 13% as well.

That enzyme mask though, it’s so great and I love the smell. Ever since I did the TCA peel from platinum skin care, my skin has been way better. I have super dry skin and the Emu oil is a life saver. ❤️❤️😍🥰

Oh yes. Emu oil is SO very helpful. You can also mix the Nano Hyaluronic acid with the Emu oil for long/short term benefits. The hyaluronic holds over 1000x its own weight in water. That will keep pulling moisture to your skin all day long. Super combo. Retinol will help to balance your overly dry skin as well. Try something like that in the evenings. Every other night is fine if your skin is more sensitive - which sometimes dry skin is.

I’m doing my first peel tonight I just need to no what do I do for my morning routine? Is it the same routine as I usually use? I use salicylic cleanser, glycolic toner 7%, pore n turn toner, cosrx galactomyces, 22% Vit c, I wait half hour then use a niacinamide and azelaic serum, 9 wishes whitening serum, firming eye cream, arbutin cream, CosRX snail cream??? Sorry to be a pain I’m nervous 😂 I also have other products like tranexamic acid or polyglutamic and placenta and tretinoin etc are they ok to use before and after? Also is any oil ok to use? Like bio oil or jojoba and I gave creave dry skin cream is that ok? I’m looking for a video of what you can and can’t use the day of your peel do you have one?

Stop the Retinol about 4-5 days before your peel. You can start using it again after your skin is just about done peeling and flaking.

Vitamin C is an acid and that would probably be too irritating after rinsing a peel off. I suggest more soothing, non-irritating products for the first 4-6 days. Healing oils and such. Once your skin is all done flaking you can go back to your acids and retinoids.

I am 42 and have dry skin. I am struggling with acne from having to wear kn95 masks daily at work as I work in health care. I have texture and fine lines. I'm an experienced chemical exfoliator user. I use p50, Dr Dennis gross clinical grade resurfacing peel and an assortment of other higher percentage options often. I use tretinoin 0.1% most nights. I don't have sensitive skin but do seem to respond better to lactic than glycolic acids I'm assuming due to my dry skin. Which peel should I start with? I currently have the the TCA eye kit and the lactic 50% kits in my cart... Along with a host of other products🤣 but I'm wondering what your recommendations are for the best starting place for me? I should also add I don't have a lot of downtown so I'm looking for minimal peeling. Thank you for your help.

It really depends on how much flaking you want to deal with. If you want a LOT... then choose TCA 13. If you want this to have no social downtime... then the Lactic 50 is a great option and something you can do every week. Retinoids and TCA are excellent for aging issues. Even if you only do a handful of TCA 13 peels each year your skin will be better for it.

Hi, Jennifer! Can I use the TCA peel in conjunction with LED light therapy and microcurrent devices? I would like to incorporate a chemical peel into my current skincare routine but I don't know whether or not I would need to adjust the routine in order to do so. Could you perhaps give some suggestions (i.e. pause using either one of or both devices for a number of days before or after peel).

I don't see any reasons why you could not utilize all of those therapies. You could use LED light therapy literally, immediately after your peel has been rinsed. With the micro-current though, I am not sure - it may have to be on another day. You would do best with asking that company.

That is a mild daily Retinol product. Luminosity is much stronger and is formulated to be used post peel.

Your skin will generally start sloughing at about day 3-4. If you have done a TCA or Jessners peel you can use a retinoid applied daily - like our Luminosity .50 retinol - to help the skin dry and flake more quickly. If you are using one of the hydroxy acids, an Enzyme mask applied daily will help to remove the skin more quickly.

Tea tree should not be applied as a singular oil. You may use it in a carrier - but you would be better off using oils recommended for healing as opposed to antiseptic.

You may use Fade Bright when you are pregnant, but TCA is not recommended. I suggest either the Glycolic or Mandelic in stead during gestation. Will the frequent use of tca thin or loosen skin ?? I don't have scars on my face and i am not majorly worried about wrinkles yet but late 20s is when one should start taking care of their skin hence I want to incorporate chemical peeling into my skin care regimen to reap the anti-aging benefits. I have used Retinoids before hence my skin has the ability to tolerate everything. What chemical peel do you think I should go for and what percentage. I want that plump juicy plumpy skin that I once had when I was 21. And I have been meaning to buy your products because it's difficult to find brands that sell chemical peels here in India. It is going to thin the OUTER stratum corneum (dead layers about 20+ deep) and it will thicken the DEEPER layers where all of your collagen is. In your 20's start off with something like a retinol serum and an acid cleanser. Simple and extremely valuable. SPF 50 every single day as well. Peels if you need them to combat something. Mandelic 40 would be a nice general acid to start with.

All TCA peels are beneficial for anti-aging. They help to remove dead skin buildup, stimulate collagen, elastin and glycosaminoglycans. They can definitely give a more refined appearance to the skin as well.

What’s up With pari hello. There are not any peels which will remove the melanin. All peels can help to take away EXCESS melanin and bring your skin back to its normal color. Bleaching is not an option with peels. For a nice treatment I suggest using Fade Bright 2x per day for two weeks and then performing a Tca 13% peel at 2-3 layers.

We suggest keeping major treatments at least 1 week apart. If your technician stated longer - then follow their recommendations - as they know their equipment better than we do.

Malinda knowles RetinA is generally more irritating than retinol since it is in its acid form. You may certainly give it a try ( *we do suggest a Retinol after a TCA peel for quicker regeneration and faster flaking) - but if you feel irritation then rinse it off and only apply healing products.

You can definitely alternate the acids. Always follow the recommendations of the peel you just performed. IE. If the TCA peel wants you to wait 3 weeks, then you must wait that time before you apply the mandelic peel. Likewise, if the mandelic peel wants you to wait 1 week, then you only need to wait one week before applying the TCA peel.

Kanupriya Agarwal Ah... ON THE LIPS. I missed that. I generally would not recommend a peel on the lips - as it would only lead to cracking. ... BUT, a mild hydrating acid like Lactic 50% www.platinumskincare.com/lactic-acid-50-peel/ could be a great option. Apply that 1x per week. You shouldn't really see any flaking - but they should soften up quickly. Follow with a lip butter every day. www.platinumskincare.com/platinum-lip-butter/

I'm doing my own chemical peel with your products. I did 2 peels at a dermatologists. I'm confused because i believe i should go with the 13% tca. You say prep my skin with what for 2 weeks before applying the tca peel. I have fade bright, 13% tca, & prep solution in my cart now. Prep = a good daily regimen consisting of: acid cleanser, melanin inhibitor (pending skin coloring/issues), antioxidants, SPF and Retinoids. Many are already utilizing these daily and their skin is ready. IF you are not .. try to get them into your regimen so your skin is healthy and turning over quickly all on its own. hi there! if i am prepping for a peel on my chest area, and I have separate lactic acid, alpha arbutin and retinol serums, when would I apply them to prep at least two weeks before? would I apply some in morning and some at night, or can i use them together?

The alpha arbutin product is the most important pretreatment if you have an olive or medium skin tone or darker. We sell Fade Bright that contains Alpha Arbutin. We recommend pretreating for 2 weeks with Fade Bright prior to using the TCA or Jessner Peel. You can use the Retinol serum daily. However, stop using it about 5 day prior to your peel. Not sure what type of Lactic product you have. If it is a serum I would alternate with the Retinol serum every other day. If it is a Lactic Peel. The peel can be used 1 x per week. Be sure to wait 1 week after using the Lactic Peel to do any other peel.

This may be a stupid question but I'm a little confused. I see where people are applying up to 5 layers when doing their peels. I have been stopping after 2 layers due to my face frosting. My question is...am I supposed to continue to add layers over the frost or does it take longer to frost the more you do peels?

If your skin is frosting then you want to stop applying layers. ***IF it is just a tiny bit of frosting.... ie... light speckles or just a mild haze.... after 5 minutes you may continue on for another layer. IF your skin just turns WHITE... we want you to stop.

Do you mean the Prep Solution? ..;. You definitely WANT to strip the skin before applying the acid. Use 90% alcohol if you need to.

Hey Jennifer. My question is, would the tca peel series restore your skin to its original skin tone? For example, I have two tones on my arms. The part of my arm that's closest to my body is much fairer than the skin on the outer part of my arm that's exposed to the sun. So would the peel series help to make the outer part of my skin uniformed with the inner part of my skin? I hope that makes sense.

Yes, that is a very common use for chemical peels. Evening skin tone. Daily though you need to wear an SPF of 40-50 to stop the tanning and also use a melanin inhibitor such as our Fade Bright www.platinumskincare.com/fade-bright-lightening/ or a hydroquinone product. Then, go ahead and add on a 1x monthly peel.

Hello, so I'm looking to purchase a TCA peel. I have some scars that I've tried to fade with everything you can imagine. There about at the 2 year mark and my last hope is a peel and maybe laser in the future. I already use PIH inhibitors along with vit C and retinol. I also do I glycolic face cleanser when needed. Please always start with a 13% - never more. Make sure you are using your melanin inhibitors daily to help prevent more PIH. I suggest also the Super Cop 2x every evening on the scars to help them rejuvenate more quickly.

Fon Judith hello. The lactic peel is VERY mild. Please do not worry about applying that. Make sure you are using spf 50 every day to avoid more pigmentation and continue on with your daily treatments. We have a serum as well. Fade Bright, can be applied 2x daily to help fade pigmentation and brighten the complexion. See how the lactic works and consider moving up to a Tca in the future when you are ready.

Fon Judith no, you don’t need to reapply. Peels are done one time per week. Lactic is very very mild. You may not see any visible flaking at all. Give it time and do this on the same day every week. See how it’s looking in a month, and then again at 2 months. Continue on with your daily treatments + spf 50.

Tamara Viso it depends on which acid and percentage and layers. A higher percentage or many layers can definitely cause frosting. There is nothing wrong with a TCA peel and frosting. It is NOT common with lesser acids like Glycolic or Mandelic.

Yes, that is definitely why you saw frosting. Four layers of a TCA peel will cause that for sure. You will get a great deal of flaking.

For the body we suggest: 20% TCA if you have medium - dark skin tones. 30% TCA if you have light - medium skin tones. 70% Glycolic for light - medium skin tones. If you are trying to get rid of pigmentation, or you are concerned - because of your skin coloring - of getting Post Inflammatory Hyperpigmentation, then yes definitely use the Fade Bright for 2 weeks. officialshaymichelle average time is about 3-4 days for the face. For the body it can be 10-14 days. There is nothing you need to do at all. Your skin just sheds at a different rate. Keep your skin hydrated and be patient. :) If you are doing Tca you can apply retinol or our luminosity method to help it flake sooner. Enzyme masks help as well.

No. That isn't possible. Your natural skin color will always remain the same. **IF it is just darker due to sun damages...that can be lightened with Fade Bright and SPF 50 every day. Jessners peels are helpful as are TCA.

Mikki M enzymes only work while they are wet. So applying steam when an Enzyme mask is on will give yuh more benefits. *You could stand in a shower, over a hot bowl of water... to get same results. Enzymes are great to use after a chemical peel when the flakes are coming off. It’s a gentle way to help remove some of them - of course you could do this any time like. Enzymes are great because they Only target dead skin.

Absolutely you can. Once the peel is self-neutralized you are going to wash it off anyways. Water or water + cleanser are both fine. I like to wash my face with cleanser after a peel when I am at home. Then apply any special serums and/or healing oils or products.

U M you are generally fine to do your normal bathing routine. I wouldn’t suggest a steamer or hot tub. You can use vitamin C on flaky skin - it is just that with all the dead skin you won’t be getting the benefits. Keep your good products until the majority of peeling is complete.

Most do! Hydroxy acids are timed .. then rinsed. That is the neutralization process. TCA self-neutralizes in 5 minutes and Jessners is not rinsed, but stays on for 4 hours.

I put mine in the refrigerator it helps cooling your burning face down lol, I started with 30% barely able to keep it on for a min, now I’m at 50% and keep it on alittle longer with a tiny fan lol, the neutralizer helps

@@weldinggirl What acid are you referring to? Glycolic 30 and 50? Those are milder peels. Be sure you are stopping any retinoids and leave-on acids 4-6 days PRIOR to applying your peel. They can make your skin more sensitive. :) This might help.

This really depends on your application method, what percentage you applied, how long you left it on ... and how many days it has been. Peel day: Wash, prep A or alcohol, apply peel. Wait time and rinse well. Day 3 after peel your skin will start to dry a bit and will then continue over the next 4-6 days. If you aren't seeing flaking following this time frame, OR if you aren't noticing an improvement in the smoothness and clarity of your skin, you either need to: 1 leave the solution on a longer time. 2. use a stronger percentage of the acid. Also, remember this isn't a 1x treatment. You will want to apply this peel either weekly or every other week for 8 peels and then re-evaluate your skin's needs.

Hydroquinone is not good to use long term. We don't manufacture a hydroquinone product - we use Alpha Arbutin. We like to give options to those that already have products though.
