Love this show. I was only a small child when it was originally on but have now got the box set and never get fed up with watching it. Brilliant!! I Would have loved to have met Peggy Mount
Awww in the end Pat Coombs and Peggy Mount were great friends and ended up in the same retirement home for actors/actresses Pat died at 75 and Peggy died a year before at 86 both were unmarried with no children.
+Ironbutterfly Did they both appear in a previous sitcom`Lollipop Loves Mr Mole` with Hugh Lloyd playing Peggy`s husband (Mr Mole) cant remember who played the screen husband of Pat but my younger sister was a big fan of the show.
Love'em ladies to bits. Could watch'em, you rang m’lord, only fools and horses, George & Mildred, the Bruce Forsyth show, Benny Hill and all the lot 48/hrs a day🤣 Brit TV rules 👍🏻
So many great British shows and I can't watch most of them because I'm trapped in the Hell that is the USA. ARGGG!!! I envy the British many things, but especially their television shows. You can't imagine what I had to go through just to watch "Only Fools and Horses" and "The Darling Buds of May"and I just got lucky that someone had uploaded "Open All Hours" and "George and Mildred" on RU-vid. I mean, I would gladly pay to watch them, but then you get into international copyrights and so on and they won't release them. "You're Only Young Twice" looks great, but I'll probably never get to watch it. :(
As second childhoods go, this sucks. I'd rather retire to some nice beach community in the tropics, and spend my days by the water, myself. Every day, you could pick up some nice, fresh fish on the way home for dinner or find a nice restaurant instead of eating cafeteria food. Mostly likely cheaper, too. Adult facilities are extremely expensive.
