Peglin NEW Update - Balladin Is WAY Better Now! 

I’m waiting for the ball barian character that has 50 base hp synergies with mucircle and self damage and once killing a enemy gets a temporary boost

the leaf, like most other Super Boss Relics (or whatever they're called) seems super insane with certain builds, and will just ruin other ones

I caught this change a few days ago, and I love how it now has a serious synergy, but my problem with it is that it seriously pushes you down the route of a muscircle and ballwark build. You don't even start as Balladon with a muscircle or ballwark orb, meaning that the relic isn't always useful in the first few fights. While the change it cool, it's now a very one-sided relic to start with, whereas the Peglintuition relic and the Spinventoriginality relic have many different ways that they can apply to various builds. In general, I like the change to the relic, but maybe they could've kept the relic starting each fight with maybe 3 ballwark, too, so then there is always some level of usefulness to it. Idk, just my take on things.

I sorta miss the old 'you have some Ballwark no matter what' Balladin, but this new one is cool too! Synergizes REALLY well with Orbust; at level 3, Orbust gives you 6 Ballwark and a Muscircle- that Muscircle grants you Ballwark from the relic and that takes you to 8 Ballwark and that nets you another Muscircle! (and they both count as separate muscircle for relics like Training Weight!!) It's pretty crazy.

I believe "Leaf the rest for later" will synergize crazy well with "Defresh Potion" and "Gift that keeps on giving". Because there will be a low but constant amount of pegs on the board (about 20+ usually) and the rest will just be "morbid-able" so it's easy for orbs to just bounce around

I really hope this game gets a NG+ or endless mode with damge scaling, just to see how far you can go with insane damage

16:56 could've been infinite muscircle and ballwark with renewable vigor (green axe in the top left). Fully upgraded it gives muscircle every time you hit refresh. We were so close to greatness

The leaf is cracked with either refreshing punch or magnet. Also pairs ridiculously well with cookie, broccoli, and renewed vigorb. Also can't believe he missed the vigorb in the shop.

He is now OP (Overpowered Peglin). He isn't the OP (Original Peglin), though.

I find it funny that part 69 of Peglin introduced the Chopping Ballock.

My thought while playing Balladin the past few days has been that the one fewer crit cruciball level would probably come out as a buff actually

there's a special gold ball you can get if you have an absurd amount of gold in which the leaf becomes absolutely peak "what the heck". I was doing about -2e10 damage per show in the end with the combination

Balladin is completely OP now. Have gone from no cruciball to almost 15 with only protectorbs and sphears

I (finally) bought this game a few days ago, after watching your whole playlist twice over. It's honestly been super fun! But when the new update came out, all I was thinking was I can't wait for you to play it again. It's weird knowing what the new orbs do *before* you this time, when normally I'm learning about them as you do too. Kind of a different viewing experience

My first run in the update went similar, was clowning on a ball fifteen run, took the new leaf and died, similar build to, a couple key common orbs and relics and balladin scales to the moon now, still don’t know if he’s quite spinventor strong but he’s definitely close and way more consistent

I don't remember the exact names of the relics, but I had a challenge run idea where you start with the one that makes all bombs red bombs, as well as any that add more bombs to the board. Then your orbs are 3 bomb orbs and a fireball

"Leaf the rest for Later" seems ideal for that one Orb, that deals damage based on Pegs refreshed.

The leaf seems like it needs a relic that makes refreshes deal damage, whether that's refreshiv or refillibuster or strange brew

That new refresh boss relic looks like it has a lot of instant win synergies. I want to see it combined with the relic that makes refreshes generate coins and the orb that gets damage from money held.

I'd imagine that the new leaf relic would be great for a morbid build as you'd have a consistent supply of blank pegs

i assume the +10 refresh relic would synergise amazingly with the duplication potion + refreshes increase damage presumably you'd just have an entire board of refreshes

Leaf the rest for later is such a terribly OP relic. Primarily, because of the cookie relic that heals 2 every time the board is refreshed. I had that combo in a run, and oh boy did I have a great time.

I always thought it was a little weird that there was a spinesse character but not a muscircle character. That has been resolved!

Would love to see an orb call "Metorb Detector" that either turned pegs into gold pegs after so many hits, or that was magnetically attracted to gold pegs.

Yeah, that leaf refresh relic is garbo tier relic unless you have a lot of refresh synergy because you'll just never have the pegs to hit.

Leaf seems to specifically want to be paired with Renewed Vigorb and/or Brassiceae Knuckles

I tried a run with the Balladin when this update dropped and Obrasion is completly powercrept, although that could easily be patched but I kinda wish it was Ballance (+1 to crits and critless) instead so it doesn't try negating it's downside as well as opening Critical builds to Balladin's kit.

Ballanx is cracked to be honest, at tier 2 it's a 7/8, it's a huge damage spike

I feel like the Leaf relic would be good with Morbid synergy. Pity the only other relic that offers Morbid is also a boss relic.

i would of said leaf the rest for later had great synergy with the crit fleece but 1. crit fleece is op anyway and 2. i don't think the crit fleece is available for the balladin since muscircle doesn't advocate crits, that op synergy is for the others only sadly.

I just thought about it, and that leaf relic is absolutely awful... Only pegs that haven't been hit can become refreshes obviously, which means that over time on any map that has a few pegs that are in terrible spots (ie, half of the third floor, and especially the upside down elite), most of the pegs left will be those pegs. Tactical treat mitigates it partially because they'll at least move away from the terrible spots, but what are you supposed to do if all of the pegs are just on the ceiling?
