I mean to be fair when Goku discovered SS3 he didn't have stamina problems given he was dead at the time and he didn't need to worry about tiring or at least tiring as much as being alive...when Goku started using it when he was alive again the stamina problems became very apparent very fast, so pretty much the only great use for SS3 is to use it to charge up a REALLY big attack (like a full powered Kamehameha) then power down quickly...

Yeah, if you were to experience the story of DBZ for the first time through a game, the best way would definitely DBZ Kakarot. (Although the best way to experience the story in general is still either the anime or manga)

Idk about "deserved," Vegeta still wasn't all that great a person at the start of the Buu Arc. He got a lot better compared to before, sure, but he still needed a lot of growing to do, so being humbled during the Majin Vegeta arc and growing from that was what made him deserve this rematch.

He absolutely didn’t deserve it. He spent seven years feeling sorry for himself, took Babidi’s deal to achieve SSJ2 _because_ he wasn’t powerful enough to beat Goku, sucked-punched him after he’d already disengaged and pretended he’d reached the top, then renounced his sacrifice like a damn crybaby when he found out Goku had a single emergency use of SSJ3 in his back pocket back then. This Vegeta, post-Super and the real character development? This Vegeta absolutely deserved this fight.

@@xAznSkyxx After seeing the DLC, there is not a single reference to Super related. So this DLC is written under the premise of the old/original lore where Super storyline hasn't been written yet. So they aren't using the new lore that Super story happens in the 10 years timeskip. So ssj3 Goku and Ssj2 Vegeta is the highest they can go in this original lore.

I love how they also say that the supernova was seen from Earth and that Gohan knew it was Goku and Vegeta's death, then he went on to teach the world about ki control as a scholar by publishing many books

About time, right? I never liked how Super watered down Final Flash by making Vegeta use it way more often. Galick Gun is Vegeta's Kamehameha, so why not have him use that more instead? Final Flash was always meant to be this WAY stronger move that's meant to have more impact.

It isn't even remotely arguable (especially with Moro talking crazy about BBA). Frieza has this problem in spades. Supernova doesn't exist in canon. Death Ball doesn't have a showing at all (50% had his ki attack consumed by a ball not much stronger than him and unable to kill **how bad was this move**). A variant just given that name to ride on took out Namek (very poorly). Death Beam didn't have anything to show for itself against a much weaker target (KKx10 Goku). Nova Strike was his ONLY solid showing for something tied to him (it let him overcome KMHM from a foe stronger than him). Seriously, he does NOT deserve credit as a fighter (needed forms to restrain himself since his control sucked and gases out super hard going to his max). He can't sense ki and missed a surefire killshot (later fumbling aid from the opp). The ki disc is just him doing a one-up on Chestnut (at least he added homing for a multi-case, but having it come back on him worse than even Pickle Junior is a terrible look). NOTE: I wouldn't mind explaining DF and SS (fireball) being conceptually great moves (just overlooked). This aside from ki augmented striking (Vegeta had this). Later Vegetto did Banshee Blast and Spirit Sword. Gokek doesn't do new moves (if one is being real). That's Vegeta. And Super even has Geets use the latter in ToP (though in a very weird way).

evolution is ssj1 grade 2 but blue though, this ssj2 for vegeta must be something else entirely, maybe ssj2 grade 2, maybe ssj2 grade 4 like trunks in the super manga

It was a mistake letting Gokek use KKx20 with SSB (or at all since AT's writing was never going to back theirs with it as fanservice). Then again, SS2 not just being a hybrid genetic mutation thing (demi-Saiyan potential) is probably a mistake, as well. Hell, "SS3" being called that is goofy (given it doesn't even follow "SS2"). These things happen (as with "SS4", which isn't Super Saiyan at all **only for Super to do the same with SSG which is not Super Saiyan at all, so it should be 'Saiyan God' with SS stacked for 'Blue' making SSGSS as a name something that should never have required a tongue-biting joke**).

The only sensible place for them to have such a battle would be the erased timeline of Trunks (because logic doesn't apply **all matter erased should mean a black vacuum not a bright white void with air**). Frankly, UE should have started with its own Sign/Omen (not just jumping right to the full thing). Color scheme wasn't great, either. Fan works did it better. Building towards coloring the hair with destruction energy would be fine. Meant to channel his Majin moment (where he also larps as evil), when the form requires him to go full SAVAGE (his original self). It had a very ugly (assisted) win for its intro. Then an even uglier follow-up.

It was an absurdity that casual-adjacent fanatics would love, at any rate (see a lot of praise for this). In a case where their powers are close in the moment, there is no excuse for having GG not plow through KMHM (needing FF for a draw is clearly just feeding into fanservice for the former protagonist camp **like letting him draw in the end**). One being merely a bit more than x2 while the other is basically x3. At least with a power difference it could be excused. The writing is purely based on safely attempting to please both even if it is illogical (typical of a versus match-up).

probably because the devs wanted to do "goku's strongest z form" vs "vegeta's strongest z form" as their finale for this dlc even if ssj3 is bad. also in bog goku has gotten rid of ssj3's stamina drain and this is 6 years after that. so the real question is why aren't they using ui and ue but the answer to that is, this is a z game and those are super forms

yeah i have no idea what that line's all about, and vegeta comes to a different conclusion there than to what goku says here which is kinda funny. but you have to remember the devs didn't have much budget for the buu saga in this game so they might've cut it out

@@dankerbell They didn't cut it. The game has the Vegeta narration while Goku fights Buu, where he calls him "Number one". He knows it's all about the love for the fight and constant self-improvement.

I agree. Despite being a what-if, it's crazy to think the lengths Vegeta goes to surpass Goku even if he doesn't have SSJ3. Still, even if Vegeta completely outclassed Goku as a stronger SSJ3, Goku would close the gaps through that loss by training to even out the difference. It's how their rivalry works. Goku takes loss better than Vegeta does since Vegeta hated the fact that it was a draw, and Goku just wanted it to end like that lol.
