It’s ridiculous how the AFL just forces geelong to play at the MCG, it’s geelongs home final, but the AFL doesn’t care, I think the fact geelong are the only team that can’t have a home final at their home ground may have cost them the 2019 premiership, because they probably would have one in Geelong then won the prelim since Hawkins would never have got suspended, and probably won the GF. This is the AFL’s logic, so geelongs stadium is 36,000, but it’s “not enough” to hold a final, yet the GWS stadium holds 24,000 but that’s enough to have a prelim, the AFL just doesn’t want Geelong to win and they only care about MCG teams winning.
