But nope, she wanted the handsome young one because she wanted to have her cake and eat it too. And don’t give me the whole “she wanted someone kind” BS. She knew about as much about the old guy as she did Colin. All she had to go on were some sexist comments and Colin not wanting to sleep with her (a feat because she’s sooooo alluring). also everyone forgets that Pen’s known Marina 2 months. She’s know Colin “forever..” Pen is loyal and did the right thing by the only family that has actually ever loved her.

Good thing they switched them around in order for the series! I just finished listening to book 3 with Benedict, started book 4 for Colin, and already Im enjoying it more. I can't wait for season 3 now.

Was the book 3 with Benedict good ? I have read mixed reviews. I just finished book 4 and loved it.

Agree though, if you think about it. She so selfish and thinks that man will accept her condition... in that era if you pregnant without getting married it's a fatal mistake

I didn't dislike her at first but the moment she realized that Pen was in love with Colin and instead of shutting up and go on with her plan (which was understandable in her position even if didn't like it.) She decided to directly and without any mercy hurt the feelings of the girl that had been helping her since she arrived in that house. If at least that scene where Marina figures it out and tells Pen that Colin would never love her hadn't happen I wouldn't dislike her as much as I do. Like in that scene she might as well had laugh in Pen's face and called her delusional. That was way too cruel for a naive and innocent Pen to hear.

I believe Portia cared for Marina, even though she wasn’t the best lady to work with. She seemed to have some respect for her before she left with Philip.

I’m torn. I definitely don’t want her begging but if she commands it and Carrie’s herself like a queen then I’m all for it. It depends on how they execute the scene.

I totally agree and can't understand how they'll go about putting them together after Eloise reveals to the entire family who her alter ego is and how she put a target on her back from the Queen . Her alias ,Lady Whistledown,also caused scandal and ridicule for the family.

@@elizabethbowden1574 Eloise put the target on her back on her own. LW is her business. It's a path for her to have a future. Look at Pen's perspective too. Not saying she's a saint but it takes maturity to understand Pen's character.
