Get real, that Peniston line goes over viaducts and through tunnels, would cost hundreds of millions to double that track. It won't happen. Rather work towards building a few passing places and adding smart signaling. Then you can have 3-4 trains per hour. That would be much more cost-effective than doubling the whole line.
