Penny Battle in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet - Team Star Leader Cassiopeia

I love how the first half of her theme is SOMEWHAT sinister but the instant the beat drops it goes "whip out your glowstick people because I'm a magical girl!"

I'm sorry but how did the quietest person in this game get the hardest beat drop in the entire series

I like the small detail that Penny's name doesnt change from Cassiopeia until she drops the act and calls to herself by her actual name.

I want to put something out here about Penny. When I was a kid growing up, I loved Pokémon, I got into it because of a friend who was older than me. Everyone in my grade made fun of me for it, saying it was for little kids and teased me for not watching the same shows as they did. Once I even said, “my friend is older than me and he plays Pokémon” and Lauren (Yeah it’s been over a decade or so, I’m calling you out) said “no he’s younger, and I know him too” (Yeah Right). Anyways, because of this I would keep to myself but still pursue the things I was passionate about. I was still picked on, and given a hard time about it, but there were plenty of kids younger than me who still played it with me. In all honesty, I think there were times where I wish I could do what Penny did, and just rally together some friends to scare off the bullies. Watching the cutscene where Penny meets her friends face to face, I got emotional. Even though she wasn’t proud of what she did her Friends still cared about her. Even though I was bullied for liking nerdy stuff I still found people with similar interests. I don’t know I felt like I needed to say it.

That moment when I found out she used the same pokemon team I used in Sword and Shield. I regret not going with the same team again.

I really didn't consider Penny being the big bad of the Team Star arc until halfway through it when I realized that almost nobody in game seemed to know where she, or the leader of team star was at. The fact that she's a hacker with all of the Eeveelutions on her team including herself as Eevee makes her all the more awesome

I really got thrown out for a loop when Clive said he was Cassiopeia at first ngl

It’s such a shame Clive will never get any character development, I was really expecting him to be Cassiopeia before Clavell came out of nowhere. Such a shame that such a good character design has gone to waste like the masked royale.

what gave Clavel away about lying about being Cassiopeia was his lack of knowledge on the technology used.....that and you could fight him during the day

penny's battle theme is incredible I listen it every day

I knew Penny was Cassiopeia and the boss right from the get-go. The shy-genius stereotype that everyone likes to pull in these scenarios, the fact that she is the only out of place student that supposedly didn’t represent a story arc when she was first introduced (from my perspective, she just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time when the two grunts cornered her), a name like Cassiopeia is only heard of when talking about stars, and topped with the fact that she and Cassiopeia are never in the same cutscene. It was obvious she was the boss.

Watching Quaquaval dance to the battle theme is extremely fitting lol. They knew what they were doing

The fact that people didn’t figure this out when it was the most obvious thing ever.

Mumbies:There was 0 way anybody would have guessed the character that got a minimum 3 seconds of screentime in every trailer she was in was actually the evil mastermind of the starfall plot

Penny having that "split personality" of a battle theme is really fitting

i love director clevell, he bent the rules as to allow team star to remain while giving the bosses new jobs to help new trainers. wish he joined in the last mission to area zero

At first i was like "clavell is 100% cassiopia" but then i remembered "oh yeah nevermind its penny" but then when clavell said he was cassiopia i was like "wait what" and then when he said he wasnt i was like "oh so it is penny"

This battle theme is excellent. I wish Penny’s team was better.

I first thought she was cassiopeia. Then I thought, maybe she is trying to get team star gone so we feel relaxed and unsuspecting (also because of her saying mela... or atticus...) so she could do her evil plan.

She gave herself away when she admitted that her hobbies consisted of collecting evee's and hacking when Cassiopeia openly admitted at the very beginning ish of the game that she hacked your phone that's how I figured it out

I had no volume on the very first time i played Scarlet and Violet so i had no idea Penny had such a fantastic battle theme.

When that battle theme hits, I just wanted to dance instead of battling her lol

When I saw her team was Eeveelution themed, I instantly wanted her to be my best friend in real life

So it was obvious Casseopia's true identity, but I understand now why she was included in the trailers, but never really touched up upon other than that she's shy.

Damn I didn't even buy/play the game. Just watched like the first two parts of a walk through and said, that's definitely Penny because she just fits that nerdy archetype.

I don't really focus on the story I have severe ADHD so I did barely im mostly leveling up pokemon and adventuring BUT DAAAAMN THIS HIT ME HARD!!!!!!!!!! It was not obvious at all to me because I was thinking about finding Pokemon constantly XD

It was actually a surprise to me, that a cute shy girl like Penny was actually the head of Team Star.

I knew she was the team star leader because she works from the shadows and is a good hacker

The quiet ones are the ones to pay attention to you don't see the loud ones causing problems...the quiet ones have a gun in their bag.

I always believed it was penny, always showing up when a boss is taken down, but The director threw me off, until it was revealed to be a fluke

I am scared with the song, the theme starts off scary like you be like (other than the song is good reaction) "WHAT THE ACTUAL HELLIS GOING ON WITH THIS GIRL LOOKING LIKE BOY!"; then as you plough through her team, the theme gets a little charming but still scary, once you defeat her, the tragic past is just... 😐😭😭she is full with joy, horror, drama! THE BEST CHARACTER AFTER GLADION AND MARNIE!!!

i’m gonna assume the version determined 2 of the pokémon penny uses, cause we didn’t see glaceon or espeon. who knows, but if that’s true then both versions have the gen 1 eevee trio and the gen 6 eevee which can terastalize

You'd think that a super smart nerd like Penny would have done a lotta research on Pokemon and crafted an excellent team. Instead, you're just fighting her pets. Though the choices of Eeveelutions make a lotta sense. Why is it that she lacks Espeon and Glaceon? Being a recluse means she's unlikely to be out training an Eevee and bonding with it in the day, long enough to evolve it into an Espeon. Also, let's be real, there's no way she'd wanna go up to the super dangerous Glasedo mountain just to level an Eevee up by an ice rock for a Glaceon. Leafeon was a much easier option here.

I don't know why Penny didn't have a Eevee but the other Evolution she have like Umbreon for Example.
