I love how she evolved into a kinder more caring person with a lot more empathy and became smarter. They became slightly cooler and less socially awkward. As well as growing to a point that they could have actual relationships with women.
They became completely unrelatable to the audience they were suppose to portray... even rashej ends up speaking with woman... I liked BBT because they were nerdy and socially awkard. But at the end they became just like they real life personas with quirks. Not realistic at all. I miss the old BBT.
Not really; You either are, or not a guy that likes comics...To me (and, many other guy's), they just weren't interesting enough to pay $ for. Nothing the publishers, OR my nerdy friends could do to convince me otherwise...You either "grow out" of comics, or you dont. They represent the %10 of boys that didn't...If you meant females by yoir comment; Sorry to birst your bubble, but %99 of them are interested in the guys that read the comics!!! More directly, the mating potential they're $ (not wasted on comics), will provide their offspring...Hint: She isn't a "video gamer girl", as much as she wants to use whats between her legs to ween you off of comics/video games...The only "difference", is their tolerance level. The episode where Penny starts sneaking Leanard's toys out of the room; REALITY!!! "What's it called when females visit comic book stores...?" "Thrift shopping!!!"
Literally lol like the *only* reason I don't read comics is because just figuring out where to start turns a potential new hobby into a literal chore haha
Leonard could have just said: "Sheldon, she asked ME to pick it out. And I'm the one driving you there. Shut up or you can stay home." But that would require a backbone or some balls. Leonard has neither.
Something as independent as that act probably would earn Leonard another demerit. But you are right, Leonard is the driver and owns the car. He should take advantage of that more often.
you know it's a sitcom, right? And all these situations written here are just for laughs, so couldn't be ANY different. They are literally mocking Leonard being a pushover and Sheldon being impossible to live with - this is why they HAVE to show it, to make a joke! take the stick out of your, you-know-what, or stop watching and commenting, if you don't understand what you are watching.
Honestly Sheldon was completely right about the DCs infinite crisis. If your gonna get a comic book get something he'll understand not just get a random one and just pick a comic even you don't even know about, so shame yeah get her out of here!
What Penny said is the equivalent as if she's asked to buy something for a teenage niece, and someone says "buy her any dress, don't care size, color nor brand, every dress is kind the same"
Sadly that’s kinda true with so many media and other fandoms today. Once a girl like that walks in to something male dominated she gets all the unwanted attention.
@@xelaander8429 usually the ones who act like it. There have been decades of stories of why 1) some decide never to do tabletop rpg with anyone except close friends behind closed doors instead of in a gaming place 2) attempting to be suave Howard-alikes trying to woo a woman buying comics
If you notice........barely ANY of the intellectually smart girls in this show were into comics, D&D, action figures etc either. Not Leslie, not Amy, not Bernadette, not Emily, not Priya, not Alex, not Ramona, not Stephanie. They didn't care for any of that hardcore nerd stuff.
@@CheerfullyCynical829 which is kind of stereotypical honestly. I knew at least one straight A "Hottie" in high school who went on into science. (lost track. but I know she's still in the field she went into). and according to people who know her better, she collects marvel and dc. and is usually in the theater on the first day a superhero movie of some sort is on.
I’ve been in a lot of comic shops. Usually I’m the one bringing the women in with me… There are not plenty of women in comic shops lol. I always bring my gf with me, and honestly even the store owners have joked that they’re the first girl they’ve “Ever seen” (a little humorous hyperbole but the point still stands). If you really feel women frequent comic shops, then I’m going to say you do not. Do some women go to comic shops? Well obviously. Just like how some men wear makeup, and at about the same rate.
I remember back in the 90's when I was in my mid-teens , I don't think I ever remember seeing a woman in the comic book store I went to and I used to go there and spend hours just hanging around and playing MTG , but keep in mind this town only had around 8k-10k people.
If you notice........barely ANY of the intellectually smart girls in this show were into comics, D&D, cosplay, action figures etc either. Not Leslie, not Amy, not Bernadette, not Priya, not Emily, not Alex, not Ramona, not Stephanie. They didn't care for any of that hardcore nerd stuff.
My aunt owns a comic book shop and she makes me one for Christmas and I love it so much so I think it’s worth a try to find a comic book store that sells them at least a bit cheaper than the one in your neighborhood and I think it’s really nice to have a good time with it because it is a little bit cheaper
It's rare to see a girl in a comic book store, to the point I can remember each occasion I saw one (twice) over the course of 25 years. That's not counting the store I frequented that had a female owner (The Stars Our Destination).
This stereotype made me nervous to visit a comic book store, but in reality no one gave me a second glance on my first visit. There was even another woman behind the counter. I freely admit I don’t look like Kayley Cuoco, but still it was no different than any other shop.
0:52 i wonder that's how guys react when they see my girlfriend and her sister in a comic shop? Took me 4 years to realize both are transformers fans and i was such a dunderhead
I never understood why WB gave so much attention to Marvel. Not saying they should never ever said anything Marvel but considering they own DC they should have given focused in certain episodes like this one or the one where the girls want to learn about comics regarding DC.
For anyone rolling their eyes about Sheldon wanting to know what type of comic book the kid likes just think of this- It’s my girlfriends birthday can you pick up some shoes? It’s my husbands party pick up some beer I’m hungry can you grab me a pizza? Honey it’s my time of the month pickup some tampons It’s the last concert just buy a few tickets UMMMMM THERE NEEDS TO BE MORE INFORMATION!!!! Lol
... I once embarrassed myself by geeking out over a star trek ornament in hallmark one year. the employee's facial expression looked entirely like Penny's when she's had it with sheldon's shit
then if you know it's a sitcom and for comedy, why do you feel the need to whine and complain about it 24/7? honestly, you are under every damn sitcom video doing the same. this isn't supposed to be real life- we know, captain obvious. It's a FICTION, TV SHOW, and ENTERTAINMENT!! but people like you take all the fun out of it with these ridiculous comments, always whining about characters. Most of us watch this to laugh and relax, not to write 10 pages comments of useless analysis!! Yes, Sheldon is annoying and arrogant, and a man-child, and he is supposed to be!! that's the joke! if he annoys you for real and you can't simply laugh at him, which is the purpose of this show, then STOP watching and commenting!! because my God, you are all annoying with these dead-serious comments! this is not a John Steinback novel, nor serious tv drama, it's a sitcom!! it's all there is to it, and exaggeration in sitcoms is the prime basis of comedy!!
The first 3 seasons - yeah. But after that it was about portraying nerds as the non-nerd majority of the spectators wanted them to be portrayed. I stopped watching TBBT after that.
The Big Bang theory and two and a half men have one problem: they’re made by a guy who can’t write worth a damn called Chuck Lorre. FYI, a lot of those celebrities that penny would look up to in real life are actually fans of geek culture (pop culture) Taylor swift, Anna Kendrick, Chris patt, snoop dogg, Eminem, Rafael nadel, lebron James etc… this show I swear was made for dumb housewives who live under a rock like Chuck Lorre.
In my world, Sheldon's stupidity would last about 15 seconds...his condescending attitude about 5 seconds. I can't remember a single episode that he would have survived. If it weren't for Penny, that show would have been a 100% waste of time.
