I had Penny’s Jersey, shoes, and watched Orlando Magic as much as I could when I was young. He was such a great player in his prime. I liked Hardaway more than Jordan!

Penny is near Jordan at this point. If only he could stay healthy for 5 to 7 years, he could improve his game a lot.

I was at this game. Nobody really understands how amazing the Shaq Penny team was. If you went to a Magic game back then you would leave deaf...Penny was unreal. I get teary-eyed watching this team. So many memories. If the Magic woulda stayed together, The bulls would NOT won those last 3 titles..If Nick Anderson didn't miss 4 straight free throws up by 3 they woulda won the Title against the Rockets.These teams rhese days such as Golden State could never handle the Magic. They were like a freight train. Penny would school Curry. Uggg. It's hard to think about. If Shaq didn't leave Penny wouldn't have gotten hurt. He literally carried the team. I still hate Shaq to this day. Especially since he has admitted he wish he never left and the yeam was better than the Lakers....

Penny Hardaway's Skill=Magic's passing ability+MJ's flair&grace. It's really a damn shame his knee gave him problems(same with Grant's knee and McGrady's back).These guys were the next generation of stars after Magic,Bird,MJ,Drexler and Barkley.IMHO when healthy and in their prime,all three were better than Kobe.

sorry to say to this guy t-Mac was only a scorer Penny was a all-around beast could give you 40 points with 15 assists 10 steals 8 rebounds 6 blocked shots and was deadly outside T-Mac never impacted the game like Penny neither did Kobe and as good as Grant Hill was Penny use to destroy him Penny was too quick and explosive his skillset was ridicilous hate the injuries hit him smh.

Remember everybody, LeBron James idolized hardaway and some of his game is due to hardaway! Hardway would have been in top 10 guards of all time and in top five point guards of all time if not for injuries!

Not trying to be rude, but that game was played as part of a NBA on NBC Sunday doubleheader. But you're right, it would have most definitely been MJ vs. Penny or even Grant Hill, had it not been for their injuries. As great as Kobe is, he wasn't as skilled or good as Penny was during his prime. Penny and/or Grant Hill would've been the "next superstar" after MJ, if not for injuries...SMH

Too bad you didn't include the part where Pippen called a unnecessary timeout which might had cost the game for the Bulls at the end of the regulation. Penny in his prime was fantastic.
