Thank you for the honest review. I almost got these - then your previous video came out so I held off and glad I did. I have Paperlike and don't enjoy it. Sadly, I'll just be sticking to the glass screen for now.
I don’t understand why these companies don’t make a harder screen protector and a softer nib. If the nibs wear down instead of the screen protector I would see that as a good thing. Nibs are cheaper and easier to replace than the whole screen protector.
They do sell multiple softer pen tips, but they wear out quickly. Whether it's the screen protector or the pen tips, if it's soft it'll wear over time. However I'd be curious how this magnetic screen protector fares compared to their slightly softer plastic tips instead of the metal ones.
I'm a math instructor at a community college. I use my iPad as a virtual whiteboard, connecting it to a projector if teaching in person, or over Zoom if teaching online. So I write on it for somewhere around 15-20 hours each week. I want my handwriting to look as nice as possible, and I'm willing to pay for a screen protector that improves it. Currently, I'm using Astropad's Rock Paper Pencil. So far it's given me the best experience in this regard. We'll see how long it lasts before I need to replace it.
For people in th EU the price point for the astropad and pentips are they same after taxes and shipping. Astropads 39.99 is before taxes and shipping while pentips are 79.99 is after taxes and shipping. Just something to be aware of. For me it turned out pentips package was like 10 dollars cheaper in the end compared to astropad.
Hi, great followup. Could you also review Spigen Paper touch and Paperlike 2.1 I am planning to get one paper feel screen protector for my ipad pro m4 and your reviews are helping ,e narrow down options 😄
For 80 it should it least last a year 80 a month It's more than paying for Photoshop or a premium subscription. And I think a year is like the lower end it should last a year in a half. U might as well buy a bunch of cheap protectors they pretty much all feel the same
I used this combo from aliexpress costed me 15 dollars the metal tips are glitchy if you touch the metal and show the back of the apple pencil to your ipad it draws randomly
@@TomFroese It kinda works but makes your ipad glitch if you touch the tip restarting ipad fixes the problem tho i was scared when i first experienced this in the library i panicked
