Please observe that they are probably comparing Oslo with other places I Norway, not other places in the rest of the world.

The first guy spat out some real facts. The others were kinda right. Though the “split” is more due to economic disparities.

What I like the least about living in Oslo is that there is so little to complain about. Plus the dialect, here.

I’ve lived in Oslo for one year and I’ve visited a lot of other European capitals. Compared to other capitals of Europe, Oslo is pretty cheap. Damn, Oslo is even cheaper then the capital of my country, and the average salary in my country is like 10 times lower than the average salary in Norway. How we survive in my capital, i don’t know 😆. Also, compared to other European countries, not only capitals but even smaller towns as well, the crowd in Oslo is much smaller and the bus and train lines are neat, the system of the city transportation is very good, much better than most other European cities where everyting is very chaotic and not organized. There are not as much people in Oslo as the people in the video may make it seem like. Actually, when I first came to Oslo my first thought about the city is that it’s pretty chill and slow and that there are not much people.

For Norway, Oslo is a busy and frenetic place. But yes, compared to other capitals in Europe and around the world, I’ve found it to be pretty docile.
@kokos1209
@kokos1209 Год назад
@@worldofnuance That makes sense. I was actually born and raised in a very small almost a village-like town in my country and the life there was very docile and slow. So when i left my town and started college in the capital, it took quite some time for me to adjust to a busy and chaotic lifestyle of a typical Southern European big city, so i understand that there’s certainly a big difference between Oslo and other cities in Norway. Later on during my studies I visited many other European big cities and saw that they are even more chaotic than my capital lol, especially as you go more south and west. So when i lived in Oslo, it was very nice to live in a slower and chill city again.

@HTV-2_Hypersonic_Glide_Vehicle
@@OsakasFentanylAddiction *"personal preference, besides Norway is such a small country it would be better to find a country that's less dull, competitive and boring, Norway is only a country where rich surgeons, business men or lawyers live"* So you'd prefer to live somewhere way more expensive, dangerous, and dirty? NYC is arguably more competitive than Norway, so you wouldn't like that if you are searching for somewhere that is less competitive, and subjectively just as dull in some ways. Norway is a small country, but NYC is tiny compared to Norway. You mention finding a country, which is different from what you first mentioned, are you talking about living in NYC or living in the U.S.? Living in an area the size of the U.S. is comparable to Europe as a whole. I thought you were just wanting to switch from Norway to NYC.

Oslo is nowhere near as economically divided as London and other UK cities, my ex girlfriend was from Oslo and I wasnt even aware that she was from the West End of Oslo or that she was from a higher social class than most other Norwegians, in London and other places in the UK, it is immediately obvious what a persons social class is, even if they downplay it, and those people especially women of higher social classes do not date down very often and are generally more stuck up than higher social class people from Scandinavia.

@null090909
@null090909 Год назад
@@worldofnuance The reason Norwegians believe real estate prives are high now is because they where dirt chip until the 2010's . Even experts in the field simply compare prices one generation ago and now and conclude they are high now. If they looked one second for other places (even close ones like Stockholm or Copenhagen) they would realize how much higher they can get.
