So excited to see these videos, glad I went looking for it. I'm taking a class for this bag at my quilt shop next weekend. It will be nice to have a good background before I go.
I made this last night at it turned out awesome. I did use a one directional print, but I added an inch to the height of the exterior, cut in half and then stitches back together with a half inch seam allowance, then interfaced it. There is an obvious seam on the bottom, but still turned out perfectly.
@@noodleheadsewingpatterns Great news Anna, thank you! I have some in my basket (gorgeous red!) at Merchant & Mills so will press the ‘buy’ button! Getting enough for the Sandhill Sling also👍🤗
Hi Anna! Looking forward to sewing this. If I wanted to use a directional print, is there any reason why I couldn't cut the exterior piece in two (and add seam allowances) to have the fabric the right side up on both sides?
Hi. Have just come across your great channel. Going to make the canvas tote. Could you please give the measurements of all the parts to be cut.Thankyou.
Hi Diana, the Pepin Tote pattern (which contains the full pattern instructions and measurements) is available in my shop here: noodle-head.com/collections/pdf-sewing-patterns/products/pepin-tote-pattern
Just dug some wax canvas out of my stash, bought it ages ago, never used it, it's very oily, is this normal ? I had to wipe it the excess off with a tissue = weird!!
@@FlareFabrics I’ve subsequently learned that some can be wetter than others and to iron it between two pieces of kitchen paper to remove it, seems to work
Hi Amy, Glad you're excited! Denim would be a great choice. It depends a bit, but if the denim feels sturdy enough, you could skip the interfacing. Hope that helps!
I have completed cutting all the components. Question: is it critical to cut the lining fabric 13.25” x 19”??? I have mis-cut my lining to 13” x 19” & wonder if this absent 1/4” in height is going to be an issue????
You said with the wax canvas, you don’t need interfacing. With the cotton canvas, do you need it? I’m not sure the difference between the two. Thank you!
