Congratulations. I am a Brazilian percussionist and I love this type of percussion effects. Most people think that percussion is made of drums only and they forget these little details that make so much difference in a song.

The one you used to make wind sounds, is actually aztec whistle. They were made to mimic the sound of peoples screams when they were dying in very tragic ways. which makes it seem very unsettling to me, but i love all the other sounds. You have a good sense of sound and how it feels to create beautiful things. Peace be with you friend.

I enjoyed all of it! I have a 6 foot rainstick & a kalimba that both belonged to my Dad. I really love those seed pods & am surprised at those whistles. Can you explain how the "thunder drum" mech works? How in the world does it produce such a low & loud sound?! I'd like to hear some electric processing/modification on the Kalimba & flutes ~ just to make it more "other wordly" sounding. As for a title ... maybe "Across the Amazon"?
@WORLDDRUMCLUB
@WORLDDRUMCLUB 7 лет назад
Thank you - The "Thunder Tube" amplifies the vibration of the spring through the head. The spring vibrates at a low rate and therefore, sounds low-pitched when amplified via the head. You can find lots of "thundertubes" online and at your favorite music shop. I like the hand-made version, which is a little harder to find. Will keep your suggestions in mind for digital processing.
