Gotta love anyone who actually talks to their fans over the typical pleasantries. Even if the line moves slower, everyone is leaving with better memories.
I waited 4 hours in a line of about 30 people just to get an autograph once, I'm not sure that's worth it but at least Nolan North was nice. Gave a handshake, spoke for about 2 minutes, but I still don't think I'd wait that long haha still awesome that they really try to talk to their fans.
Taliesin Jaffe is a kinder GOO at this point. His fame allows him to harvest power in a myriad of ways that aren't necessarily debilitating anymore; he can be subtler about it if he chooses.
@@szylaj You missed the inside joke, my friend. "Great Old One" is DnD's nice way of rephrasing "Elder God," like Cthulhu; an Eldritch Terror of unfathomable proportions. It's a popularized fan conspiracy theory that Taliesin Jaffe is as old as the universe itself, and that he made a human form to simply walk among us.
@@szylaj Essentially. As such he has supernatural abilities that he still uses on a whim, but he takes more joy in being kind and wise "for the time being," and uses them responsibly. It's believed that he can will dice to roll Natural 20's on a whim, as he did for Liam while they were on Darktow after a (spoiler free) long day; that when he snaps his fingers during a live show an audience member gets pregnant; and that for every tear that is shed in his presence he gains another 10 years of life. The first one is an actual event, the other two are rumors born from the legends.
I had no idea who Taliesin Jaffe was before Critical Role, but now I wish I did. He looks like one of the nicest people in the world. I hope to meet him someday along w/ the rest of the cast.
If I ever met Taliesen Axelrod Jaffe I would cry. Molly and Caduceus have both been really important characters to me, because they both represent the person I am trying to become. I aspire to have the confidence and Joy of Molly, the wisdom and gentleness of Cad, and the kindness they both share. I am constantly inspired.
I totally agree!😍 Just a note, Tal has 2 middle names (as beings who've been around since the dawn of time tend to have) it's actually Taliesin Axelrod Armstrong Jaffe 😁
I absolutely agree. Molly and Cad are inspiriting to me as characters. I actually have the outline of a tattoo done, still need to do my second session for shading and color. Of a tarot card with Molly and Cad (and there are hidden dicks as if Jester had been the artist). I got it like right before ep 111 came out
@@jeniennefalor8136 that's interesting. I guess to me, they were a deeply sad and lonely character, who chose to find joy anyway and put on a beautiful face. Which means much more to me and I relate too a lot more than a character who is naturally filled with joy and confidence
Taliesin looks at and comments about Animus like a notorious friend who you spent many great and terrible moments with! Just the tone of his sigh when he sees it
Because they're just like us, and became famous doing something we all like doing (playing DnD). Their arguably most professional trait is that they're voice actors, which doesn't make one famous as much and in the same way as other kinds of professions and whatnot. They're just very cool people, most of which were notorious for voice acting, which decided to broadcast something we all like and do but with their own professionalism, but still being totally themselves as DnD is a social game first and foremost. TL;DR: It's hard not being awesome and nice when your fame comes from being a voice actor who streams dnd! It truly is the coolest combo.
@@TheHighSorcerer except the one time Travis saw a person wearing a hdywtdt shirt and ran out of his car to go up to them.(just joking this is actually rly cute)
I'm a bit sad that Taliesin was saying something and since they were still talking he just dropped it he says "Actually I based-" and then just dropped it :C
@@kimmyp1983 Oooh ok. That makes sense at first I thought he just dropped it since it's something I always do if people talk over me x) It's a relief that wasn't the case!
I've never been able to meet any of the CR cast, and likely never will, but I'm completely convinced they are some of the most wonderful people on the planet.
I was too man. .... I am literally the person in this video. I watched this and went, “Wtf self why are you perpetually so incompetent at opening things my fucking god.”
Getting recommend this video is so funny to me because the girl sitting next to him is one of my good friends (who is also friends with him) and I wanna show her that shes in a random video with views
@@ariellarosestrand1283 she's a friend who happenes to know Taliesin. She was working at the con and apparently on break when the video was shot. I don't know if I'm comfortable posting her name.
bearripper just answering to avoid panic or rumors: he has tremor. He also takes medications for it but not always, that’s why you may or may have not noticed it already. Nothing degenerative like Parkinson’s if that’s why you were asking! Even in its more “benign” forms, when it doesn’t impact daily life, it is still a nuisance to say the least!
Dr Anna Ripley, a villain from Critical Role who was the rival to his character Percy (Live DnD show if you're completely out of the loop) who was being cosplayed by the other lady.
The bloke signing the gun played the character closest to the camera (Percy) in a really popular dungeons and dragons game called Critical Role which they play live on twitch every thursday and the girl with the long black hair is playing an NPC which was involved with the plot to kill Percys family and usurp his entire estate. Now you know.
All my firearm ediqute was practically screaming at me the moment he looked down the prop barrel of animus, because when you take a firearm course (where I live at least) you're taught to treat and assume all firearms, loaded, and props included are live. Absolutely lovely cosplay and props, you guys did an amazing job
If you're into D&D/nerd culture/goth culture, you should definitely seek out some more Taliesin Jaffe! Check out Critical Role (the community this video is from)
tldr: of the 2 people in cosplay, one is cosplaying the man sitting down's character percy (white wig) from an rpg show, while the other (brown wig) is cosplaying percy's nemesis dr. ripley. they're giving the man sitting down replicas of percy and ripley's weapons to sign
