Two truck loads of Pere Marquette 1225's drivers and axle boxes are on the way to Tennessee for inspection and machining! This is in partnership with @fmwsolutions to perform critical wheel and running gear work on the locomotive.
Underwritten by recent grants and generous donations, the work saw 1225 lifted in early 2022, and its 30-tons of drivers, axles, and wheel assemblies removed and prepped for rebuilding by FMW.
